I would stay again! Our large group of friends stayed here for a birthday over a long weekend. This house was a hit! We utilized all 5 bedrooms and the teen room to accommodate the group. Each room was large and comfortable for 2 people and the teen room was great for 4 people. Pictures are accurate as well as the description. The house was clean and well put together. The host was easy to communicate with as well! This house is designed to be a vacation rental for large groups. I took that into account after reading other reviews before booking. The house has some small wear and tear, so be it. The large kitchen allowed us to enjoy cooking as a group. It had all of the utensils and items needed for us to prepare meals. The large table was a treat to share dinner and stories without having to separate from each other. The pool & hot tub were excellent and well enjoyed over our 3 day stay. There is a gas grill and a storage area of fun pool toys (we added to it!). During our stay, we did not utilize the volleyball court as it was 110 degrees out. There is also lots of parking for up to 8 cars! I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for lots of space for your group. -Sean 07/24/2019 at 5:28 AM Ryan C Fri, May 31 – Sun, Jun 02, 2019 HAUS 5/5 Absolutely Amazing!!!! We had a wonderful time during our stay. Plenty of activities for all the children and the fire pit was great for the adults in the evening. The volleyball net in the pool was also a big hit! The house was very well stocked and the layout worked for the three families to be united under one roof. Would highly recommend this home for large groups.

The host was responsive in a timely manner and that's the extent of the positive.
When we arrived there was trash strewn around the property some of which were possibly from the previous renters, pool toys that were blown in the side yard.
As soon as we got there we notice a "gas smell". Since there was a gas dryer in the same room as the water heater and the door was closed we opened the door for ventilation thinking that would help. It did not and we continued to smell gas at which time I contacted the host. His response was that we should not call the gas company, otherwise we would incur costs of any service calls. If we wanted to pay for a service call he would arrange someone and he had not had issues with the gas dryer.
We continued to smell gas so we did call the gas company (NO CHARGE) and the detected a leak in the water heater, red tagged it and shut off the gas. The host then proceeded today there has never been a gs leak on the property and we were not authorized to call anyone and we would have to do without hot water until resolved. (We were just thankful not to smell gas anymore! He then proceeded to pick out things like "the pool person said the patio was dirty and things were strewn about" when we had only moved patio chairs around the fire pit.
The property was clearly staged for the pictures so were not as they appeared in the article. Needless to say I would never stay there again or recommend that host.

Your own private resort
This property is fairly represented. The photos were made when it was newly renovated and it is a bit worn now. It was more than adequate for our needs and our dogs loved the freedom to romp in the huge yard. The kitchen was well equipped. We added a few items. We would have liked better lighting in the master bath and closet. Robert was very attentive and responsive to our needs. If you have a large group, this is a good place. It’s within walking distance of great shopping and

Palm Desert Getaway
The property was pretty close to the description online. It was close to many places, was easy to find, and the number of bedrooms and bathrooms was perfect. The layout of the house was good and certainly accommodated our entire family nicely. A few concerns we had was not having enough kitchen towels (not everything goes in a dishwasher and Costco kitchen towel sets are cheap). A few more pool towels in better shape would have been nice. More paper products would had been helpful such as paper towels, more toilet paper, saran wrap and foil, and more hand soap for the dispensers. (or a disclosure stating that you will need to provide these items yourself, but providing them would have been a great bonus). Shovels for the sand toys and a few more sand toys would have been nice. Also, a few more floatation devices would have been great. The pool and hot tub needed to be warmer, especially in the winter time as children wanted to swim more but the water was too cold. That was the most disappointing part of the trip as we really wanted to spend more time in the pool, especially the children. Overall, the place was very nice and we would certainly consider staying there again.

The property is pretty accurate. They have installed new outdoor umbrellas so there was enough shade throughout. We did also bring our own canopy as we had planned to do so based on past reviews. With the 100+ temp it was good we did. The A/C in the garage/play room is a split unit so very comfortable. The owner was very good with communicating and helping throughout our stay. The master outlets were out, but it was an easy fix resetting the breaker. Note you prob just need to reset the larger "Master" breaker. Not all the ones labeled master as one of them is the internet. Took about 10+ minutes to reload.
Everything was clean, no bugs. Plenty of fans, which helped as the high heat made it very warm in the house. The casita was ok, but the smaller room just never cooled down. The airflow in the larger room was much better. In the main house, the smallest room was comfortable, but the other two can get pretty warm. However, the fans were helpful to make our overall stay very enjoyable. There are a lot of supplies in the kitchen and we found the knives to be sharp. No paper towels, so bring your own. It was nice to have enough supply of toilet paper. Ice maker is a plus. Very well organized with a lot of signage. The pool is smaller than we imagined based on the pics but was def enough for our group. We didnt play in the VBall court because of the heat, but there were balls and pool toys all around. Overall very good stay and great communication. Close to everything and quiet neighborhood.

We had a great experience

1) AC stopped working was shotty throughout the entire trip, with triple digit heat outside, the owner couldn’t fix it. We had kids with us and it was unbearable, so we had to leave, it was a literal sauna in there. I messaged the owner for some sort of refund, and he responded by saying “We will be sending a technician out first thing tomorrow to see if we need to file a damage claim against u.” HOW ABSURD is that. We had to leave early because of their malfunction and they didn’t even have the human decency to give something back and was being rude by saying we broke the AC when it was 115 degrees outside.
2) Found 2 Roachs. Perhaps more were roaming around but we found only 2 roaches in one of the rooms.
3) The pics online are deceitful, there are NO umbrellas in the backyard, absolutely no shade. Pics look photoshopped.
4) The house had that old smelly scent you find at retirement homes. Scent was Tolerable but Gross.
5) Kitchen was fully loaded. But half the stuff didn’t work. Knives were so dull. The blender didn’t blend, I can go on.
6) Garbage disposal was shotty.
This place was definitely not luxurious, not even half way decent. I definitely don’t recommend this play to anyone. If you’re even considering renting this place, you better get some new pics and make sure their AC is working, bring your own kitchen stuff, bring roach spray, the list goes on my friend. Do yourself a favor and go stay at a hotel.
Our trip was ruined. Don’t make the same mistake we did.

Where to begin...?
While the owner was very responsive to me during my stay, I don’t want to discount that, but the house was not up to the standard in which it should have been.
Master bedroom outlets didn’t work, and I was treated as if I didn’t know what a tripped breaker looked like. There was an issue and wanted it blamed on housekeeping not seeing it. While a light switch in the master is labeled with “do not use”. I believe there to be a major electrical issue in that room.
The kitchen was dirty upon arrival. Crumbs on the counter and spots on the floor. We tried to use the oven which didn’t work. Again, being treated as if we didn’t know how to use one. Instructions were sent over, but even those didn’t help. It told us to light with a match or lighter. When I told the owner this he strongly advised me not to do that... conflicting instructions from the manual and himself. We just cooked on the stove top instead and didn’t make all the food we had brought.
Multiple blinds were broken. Not a single curtain on windows marking it VERY bright by 530am. Didn’t get much sleep due to: no curtains, outside lights that we couldn’t control lighting up the room at night, and the beds were awful! We had 9 people stay. Only 1 person had a decent bed, and it wasn’t even that great. Just better than what the others were.
The “bonus room” is a converted garage. It stunk. It was uncomfortable. I bought an air freshener to help-but it didn’t. The electrical is not up to code. There was random extension cords everywhere to plug in things. An outlet on the wall didn’t work (I plugged in a watch to charge and the next morning it wasn’t charged). I removed an exension cord that was plugged in becuase it looked as if it had been melted. Woke up with the sprinklers going off in the morning and the water heater making noise. It was just a bad room for adult women to sleep in.
You cannot adjust the AC units. And while the owner/manager was responsive in adjusting them for comfort, they would revert back. It was hot at times and uncomfortable. I eventually wore tired of emailing or texting when we needed an adjustment.
I read another review about pool umbrellas. Well-one was still laying broken on the ground upon arrival, and only 1 was standing. We didn’t need them-but the pictures are deceptive of having multiple, which is needed in the heat. The sun sail that is installed is very low hanging as well.

Great house for a large group!
I recently stayed at this property with a group of 7, we originally planned on 9-10. The house is laid out very nice, large rooms and bathrooms, I think most of the bathrooms have double sinks which was really nice for multiple people at the same time. It is perfect for a group of all ages. The kitchen is very large with a lot of counter space for prep and multiple people at the same time. The cabinets are well labeled as others have mentioned. Check in and check out was easy. The only reason I'm giving the property 4 stars is because there was no extra coverage in the yard to get away from the sun. I did confirm prior to booking and the owner was upfront, I think once the group checked in they were concerned because of the heat. It is our understanding that more umbrellas were ordered, just not in time for our stay. Unfortunately, there were only 2 and one was broken. If you stay during Spring/Summer I would just reconfirm how many umbrellas they have at the property. I think the ideal number would be at least 4-6, some near chairs, there is a large table in the yard that a few umbrellas would be nice and a BBQ area. We didn't use either, but the space is great! Umbrellas are an easy fix, everything else was perfect! For the price, you can't go wrong. What you see in the photos is exactly what you get. Have fun!

Nice Layout and well equiped house
We stayed for a week with my siblings and elderly parents, 10 in total.
The layout was great with large living and dining rooms and well equiped kitchen. Each couple had a bedroom and the 4 baths were very nice.
The kitchen was well equiped for cooking although it could use more glassware and cutlery for a place sleeping up to 14.
The backyard was nicely equiped with a good pool, and patio furniture. The spa pool was only large enough for 3 people, and unheated until 5pm (unless we paid an extra $50/d) which was a disappointment as the weather was quite cool
Overall we were pleased with the rental, perhaps the one disappointment was the dining room chairs, covered in older dirty white fabric really showing its age and not up to our expected standard for this type of house, which could be very easily fixed with new fabric..

This is one of the nicest places we have stayed at.
Having four older grandchildren who play volleyball and other sports, this was the perfect place for our family reunion of 10.
Everyone slept comfortably, dined together at the huge table, and the kitchen was big enough for 5 cooks.
Walking distance to El Paseo shopping, and the nearby Mall. Many grocery shopping choices within a short drive.
The pool was 82 degrees, and the hot tub was perfect. We would definitely stay there again.

Such a great place for a fun group trip!
Robert has done such a great job with this rental. It’s got everything you need for a fun and relaxing weekend in Palm Desert. We didn’t leave all weekend! And he’s super attentive and helpful with any questions. Really appreciate the easy info about the house and labels of where to find things in the kitchen. And even the small stuff like stocking the bathrooms with extra TP and having extra trash bags and paper towels under the sink. This house was probably the best house I’ve stayed in with a group in the desert area. All king beds. Huge house. Nice big indoor table and outdoor too so you can share meals with large groups. Could not have asked for a better rental! Highly recommend.

The perfect weekend getaway for groups!
A total of 14 of us drove out from LA and stayed at Mountain View Estate for my 30th birthday celebration and I wouldn't change a thing about the experience. This property is perfect for large groups. During the day we had a few extra friends join the party and it never felt crowded.
Besides having more than enough room inside the house to sleep, shower, cook, eat, and hang out, it's mostly because of all the outdoor activities that we decided not to leave the estate the entire weekend. We spent all day sipping drinks in the sun, enjoying the mountain views in the heated pool, grilling out, playing frisbee, volleyball, and spike ball on the sand volleyball court, and then after the sunset (beautiful!) we pulled all the chairs around the fire pit or took turns warming up in the jacuzzi until it was time to play some serious ping pong in the "teen room" or start our own little dance party in the living room (bring a Bluetooth speaker or two!).
All throughout the day there were endless ways to pass the time and even when someone mentioned going into town (super close by) or catching an Uber to Palm Springs (about 30 mins), we all scoffed at the idea of having to leave because we had set up our own little commune and literally had everything we needed.
What's also really great about the property is that everything was really easy – communicating with the property manager, checking in and out, connecting to WiFi, controlling the A/C, finding things in the huge fully-equipped kitchen (all the drawers are labeled!), and turning on/off the grill, fire pit, jacuzzi, and heated pool.
The house was remodeled in 2016 and you can really tell. Everything is really nice and feels new. Also, considering we experienced over 100ºF weather that weekend, the A/C in the house really held up. Everyone slept super comfortably in those huge king-sized beds and the blinds in the rooms kept most of the the sunlight out in the mornings. Having 4 sizable bathrooms and cable TV in all 6 bedrooms was also a huge plus.
Luckily we didn't go to Palm Desert expecting to check out the town or any of the other attractions nearby, because otherwise we wouldn't have had as much of a relaxing, fun, and memorable time together celebrating my 30th! Mountain View Estate was the perfect choice for us and I'm sure it will be for you and your group as well!
