Private, top floor apartment with OCEAN FRONT views at Sealodge Kauai! Sealodge F9 is the only top floor condo in the building! Perfect for your honeymoon or other romantic getaway, it offers privacy, panoramic and unobstructed oceanfront views, and welcoming comfort inside, all at affordable rates. This one bedroom/one bathroom gem shares no common walls, so all you hear is the surf. From your private lanai you can view the changing colors of ocean and sky at both sunrise and sunset. In the living room, you'll find comfortable furnishings and a Hawaiian punee (twin size day bed in the alcove of the picture window). You can use the punee if you need additional sleeping space for a child, or to relax at nap time as you watch for dolphins or whales while the tradewinds play softly over you. There's a dining area with seating for 4, full kitchen, and washer and dryer. There are yet more oceanfront views from the bedroom, with its comfortable queen bed and adjacent full bathroom. In the bathroom, the tub/shower and commode area are private, while the vanity area with sink and mirror remain open to the bedroom, allowing two people to get ready for the day simultaneously. Sleeps 3. Additional amenities include cable TV with DVD player, phone with free local calling, free WiFi. The complex includes an oceanfront swimming pool, and a barbecue area (grills are charcoal and BYOB - bring your own briquettes). Our Kauai vacation rentals at Sealodge are located at the end of a small quiet side road, with no through traffic, that ends at a dramatic ocean bluff. These Princeville condos face the ocean on their lanai side. A short, rather strenuous, hike brings you to the secluded Sealodge Beach. Shopping and dining are conveniently close, with the Princeville shopping center just a mile and a half away. The charming town of Hanalei, and the world famous Hanalei beaches, are a brief ten minute drive. Our Princeville vacation rentals at Sealodge are comfortable, quiet, and island casual. As with most homes on Kauai, this vacation rental is NOT air conditioned. This is an upstairs condo so you need to be able to go up and down stairs. There are no elevators. Although this home has internet, the speed and reliability cannot be guaranteed due to the remote location and the service being provided by a third-party. Have rented at Sea Lodge before, though not this unit. This unit was bit dated but more than adequate. Lovely lanai views. All that we needed was at hand short a can opener. Unfortunately on third day I took a bad fall on trail up from beach. Had to be flown out on helicopter. Spent four days in hospital with broken pelvis. My wife spent one more night there before checking out to be closer to hospital. Only beef with management company was no response to wife’s call and e-mail informing them of what had happened. No expectation of refund but some show of concern would have been nice. Oh the beach was lovely. Would stay at Sea Lodge again but this unit wouldn’t be first choice .

We've stayed in Sealodge several times. This was our first time in F9.The views, as always, are incredible. In general, everything was in good condition, except the bed. Its age is showing. A new mattress would be wonderful.

Great spot if you don’t plan to spend too much time indoors. Third floor feels private with a great view. Not fun trudging up and down with luggage and groceries, but overall appreciate the privacy of the top floor. The furniture and beds are not comfortable. I didn’t sleep well any of the nights. It would be worth investigating in good quality mattresses, linens and pillows. My goal for this vacation was to rest and I didn’t get to do that due to the uncomfortable bed/furniture. It also would have been nice to be able open the heavy window covering for the kitchen window for light and air. The carpet felt clean. Dresser and closet were adequate for storage. There was a cockroach in the dryer and one that showed up in the living room. Lastly, it would be worth investing in better kitchen supplies. Knives were all dull and we had to get creative when try to bake in the oven. Having basic spices would also make the place a bit more convenient since prices for groceries are so expensive.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and the proximity to a semi private beach and trail. Fir the most part, neighbors were quiet. Pool was great! The renovation made a huge difference.

Great location. Enjoyed the ocean views and sounds. Great spot for two. Beach chairs and umbrella were a great touch. Only issue we had was with a fan in the freezer making noise. The management was very responsive in getting it fixed the next day. When we come back, we’ll definitely consider coming here again.

This apartment was perfect for our stay in Kauai. It was very clean and included all the amenities we needed. One plus was all that was included - items for beach, games in the apartment, books.. We were very satisfied. It's a little dated, but that was made up for in the cleanliness of the place. There were a few lights that didn't work, so hopefully those can get fixed. Otherwise, the manager was very helpful and communicative, and we enjoyed to quiet location and would stay there again.

We loved this comfortable condo on the sea. The best part were the great views from every room. High class furniture which was still in good condition reminded me of my youth. You have complete privacy. It's like having your own home.
It was unfortunate that the pool was out of service but we enjoyed many of the beaches in the area such as Tunnels Beach and Anini Beach. It rained a lot while we were there but we were fortunate to have a comfortable place to hang out. We loved the deck watching the birds and the whales. The vegetation is breathtaking!
All in all a once in a lifetime experience! Mahalo!

The check in process was seamless. The listing accurately reflects the actual unit. Outstanding views from the top floor windows and balcony. There is no ac but within a few minutes of opening the windows the unit cools off quickly. Cute little lizards sometimes find their way into the unit but is a fun memory catching them and bring them back outside. The unit is a little dated but very very clean.

This condo has amazing views out every window. It was just as advertised. The bed was comfortable and the unit had everything we needed including washer/dryer and snorkeling masks.

The unit we were in, F9, was extremely hot the entire time we were there. The windows are on the walls where you get no breeze at all so the hot air just stayed in the unit no matter what. Our other friends in two other units did not have this problem so their units were cooler by 10-15 degrees the entire time. Also, the unit was way more outdated than the other two units with gross carpet, old furnishings, etc. I will say the view from the balcony was amazing though! I would return to SeaLodge for the beauty and location of the condos, but I would never book this unit again or recommend it to anyone. The hike to the SeaLodge beach is a little further than I prefer, but as long as you can hike, it is a magical beach.

We've been here many times before and have enjoyed it. The tamarisk tree on the west side of the G building is growing and slowly taking away our view of the ocean and reef, which is part of what gives great value to this unit. The picture in this view is what it used to look like, but not now.

The property description is very accurate. The property is quite dated, but clean. There is no air conditioning, and the way this unit is situated the breezes are minimal. It is up 5 flights of stairs. The queen bed is quite comfortable, but the twin bed is not. The bathroom is tiny and desperately needs a new showerhead. Wifi and free parking are great, and the management company was very kind and helpful. They called the day before our arrival and the day after to make sure everything was ok. There is a great variety of beach items in the unit (beach chairs, snorkeling gear with fins, cooler, beach towels, boogie boards), but the hike down to the beach is not an easy one.

pros - location is great if you want to be on the north side of Kauai, view from the lanai and the kitchen window were wonderful, parking and grounds were well kept, condo was spacious, and it was nice to have a washer and dryer. Being on the third floor was nice for us, but people that struggle with stairs would not like to climb all the stairs. Condo appeared clean.
Cons - condo is pretty outdated, areas in the kitchen floor were a little soft, bathroom areas were small, not much space for toiletries, showerhead needs to be replaced and no plug for tub-so no bathing, mattress was basic (felt cheap and worn out). We had no working coffee pot or wifi for 2.5 days even though we reported this on day one (property mang. was slow in getting back and responding). No AC which was not an issue, except on last day when they were fumagating the unit right next to us and we had no warning and we were worried about chemicals, so we kept windows closed. Lastly, I prefer hard surface floors so the rug in the living area and bedroom was not my preference.
I feel this condo was less expensive than some others I viewed. If you prefer a good bargain over a newer condo with nicer amenities, then this might work for you. We would choose to spend more to have an updated condo. As mentioned earlier, property management staff we spoke with were friendly, but slow to get back to us, which resulted in delays getting a working coffee pot and access to wifi. We requested a late check out 24 hours in advance, our flight was not leaving until 10pm. Was told they would let us how long we could stay past 10am, no one called back, I tried before 10am about 5 times, calls went to voicemail. Not wanting to be penalized for leaving late without permission, we left by 10am. We received a call at 2:30pm that we could stay late. Since we had already cleared everything out and were doing something else, we declined.

The location of the condo and the incredible view are wonderful, in a very quiet neighborhood. The unit has all you need from washer-dryer to snorkeling gear/boogie boards, small ice chest and beach chairs. It is up 5 flights (8-9 steps each), dated and some things don't function smoothly.HOWEVER, we enjoyed our stay and the rental group was helpful.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The property is quiet and the room is clean. It was nice to have a kitchen with all the necessities. The view was beautiful and I loved being able to see both the sunrise and sunset from this part of the island. I would definitely stay here again.

This condo is close to the Princeville shopping center, walking distance from Queens Bath. The bed is quite comfortable, condo is pleasant to stay in. Don’t plan on preparing elaborate meals in this condo, and be prepared to climb up 5 short flights of stairs. The view is well worth the climb!

Our vacation was very great had a great time and would love to come back. It would also be great if could get down to beach area at rentals. I love the view of ocean. We will to different beaches to be able to walk on beaches. I got some very great pictures of vacation. We went to Pearl Harbor Tour on one day it was great. The sealodge F9 was very nice clean and comfortable.
