A genuinely lovely place, the host really went above and beyond to make our stay the best experience
Albino was a wonderful host. Friendly, welcoming and communicative right from the booking to after our stay when we accidentally left some small items behind! He made every effort to be there on our arrival to greet us, show us around with the instructions and then to handover the keys. He also made sure we had all facilities we needed in good working order during our stay (we had a power cut and he sent support to resolve the issue immediately with no fuss) and even arranged for a wheelchair for our mum in short notice, so she could be more mobile around the house and countryside. He was really helpful suggesting beaches, restaurants and places of interest nearby. He made sure he arrived at the end of our week to check that we were happy with our stay. This made our family holiday really easy and special.
We don't have much to say about what we didn't like! Though you are reliant on having cars to drive to places, the countryside is very beautiful and special to see. Our family enjoyed hearing the sounds of nature around such as the sheep, farm dogs and cockerels. There is a train that passes fairly regularly but is not so loud that it disturbs your sleep. The place is such a beautiful building and all bedrooms require use of steps, but as mentioned, Albino ensured my mother with less mobility, had a wheelchair so she was relaxed and very comfortable. We were very happy in this space as a family of 11 (3 generations starting from teenagers to elderly retired people). We had the swimming pool, tennis courts, table tennis, pool table, two kitchens and wifi to keep us entertained! Thank you again Albino, for your space to hold a wonderful family holiday!

Lots of space, lots of entertainment, pleasant temperatures, great host, great stay!
The Casa da Torre is a great place to stay for one of two families. There is plenty room, the place is clean and thanks to the trees the temperature remains pleasant. The swimming pool is good and lies in the shades. There is a renovated tennis course on the higher grounds. On the ground floor there is a complete bar with two billiards and other games. There are many good things to visit within 45 minutes drive (Coimbra, Fatima, etc) and it is also 45 minutes to some great beaches. Our host Albino was very supportive and easy to reach. We can surely recommend!
There is little we can complain of.
