Cliff and FiFi were so helpful and friendly but also respected our privacy. Excellent location. Very clean. Delicious breakfast. Only comment which is simply a small hint - it might be an idea to update the TV into a larger smart model. Otherwise, wonderful.
Can't think of anything.

The hosts were very friendly and there were no problems with our return to the accommodation around 2am on the Sunday morning after a very good wine tasting evening.

breakfast in the dining room was all that we needed. we had toast, spreads, juice and cereals provided. The decor from a past era was stunning. Gardens were lovely to walk around.
Our stay here was great. Only small thing was no bathroom in our room. But we were just across the hall almost and were the only visitors at the time.

Nice building, very well kept and not far from ferry terminal. Agreeable helpful host.
Very nice room. No ensuite but not a big deal and more than compensated for by the lovely building and surrounds.

Devonport was not much to look at; so, finding this charming house and its beautiful garden was such a happy surprise. The room was super nice and cozy, with all amenities we could think of. The attached bathroom was spacious and comfy, and the little welcome biscuits were a nice touch :) The owner Clifford welcomed us and over the course of our stay we had several lovely chats with him. The breakfast room was well-organized and a nice place to meet other guests. Our stay passed way too fast.
There is a bit of traffic noise from the road nearby and it makes the garden and sitting on the porch with your tea a bit less enjoyable. But that's very minor.

friendly.
didn’t realize so close to freeway. some traffic noise. suggest using individual serves for breakfast set up and refreshing menu and options. Covid has killed jars of stale looking cereals. shared bathroom was fine. great shower and responsive staff

Shared accommodation so need to anticipate noise and lack of availability with one shared toilet and shower for all.
Lack of Hygeine and noise from other clientele. Mattresses were a little old too. Loud fridge in room with rattling tea and coffee supplies needing to be relocated.

The cottage was very good and clean. The rooms were really pleasant and welcoming. Careful attention was given to all the items in the property to make us feel home. The host was very welcoming and ensured that all the facilities are properly taken care of.

This old charm cottage and gardens was an absolute delight. Thoroughly enjoyed our room and the comforts it offered. The rooms were tastefully decorated and loved the many finishing touches and fragrances throughout. Met the lovely Clifford who was happy to share the history of the cottage and Devonport.

A very warm welcome, lovely people (and dog). Also, the property was beautiful, clean, cosy and centrally located. We left early in the morning. Because of the self-serving breakfast, it was possible to enjoy a (simple) breakfast.
If the property is fully booked, there is a chance you might have to wait before taking a shower. However, they were busy renovating the bathroom. Maybe another shower will be added?

Beautiful cosy accommodation, welcoming & helpful owners.
Not enough bathroom/toilet facilities when accommodation is fully booked.

Clifford was fantastic, allowing us to go through their private residence due to my travelling companion being mobility impaired. Granddaughter and friend were very friendly and professional when checking us in. The property and rooms are lovely
A little pricey for a shared bathroom

Nice and close to the city for tea taxi great service
Having to go across the hallway for toilet and shower. Wasn't good when I needed toilet in the night and someone else in there.

The boss is very kind and very friendly! The house is a hundred-year-old building, and it retains all the beauty, but the living feeling will not have any problems with the old house (no musty smell and dust), it is really a great experience, everything is beautiful and comfortable, most hotels I must be spray disinfectant spray when I live, but I don't have to do that here, he is very clean and the bed is soft, everything is a plus

it was a very nice older property. The issue was the stairs. There was 5 concrete steps with NO railings. I had the issue of falling down the steps the next morning. I have not reported this to management as I had to be at appt. I would not stay there again due to steps/lack of rails and having to share all bathroom needs.
