Modern Elk Mountain Estate Chalet sleeps 18-20 comfortably. 2 hours or so from NYC, NJ and Philadelphia. Come experience Summer fun and Amazing Fall Foliage!!! 10 min from Elk Mountain Ski Resort. Close to Rail Trail and State Park. 6 bedrooms and 4 1/2 baths. Our Estate Chalet features beautiful natural views and overlooks a large nature pond. Perfect for getting away and unwinding. Our Chalet is a high efficiency home with radiant heated floors for warmth and 5 zones cooling system for Summer comfort. Gourmet kitchen and great room with floor to ceiling windows and real stone fireplace. Hot tub on rear patio overlooks nature and night skies for star gazing with a glass of wine and loved ones. WIFI provided. Many nature trails on site and only 3 miles from Clifford Community Park for Pickle Ball, mile long walking/biking paths, baseball, tennis, basketball and awesome well maintained kids' playground, as well as a short drive to entrance to D and H Rail Trail for bike riding and hiking for all ages. Located just 8 minutes from Elk Mountain Ski Resort for best skiing on East Coast! Creek for fishing, swimming and tubing. Chalet is part of a larger estate property featuring a main Manor house that sleeps up to 25 and a separate listing. Both homes are completely private from each other and may be rented separately or together for larger groups such as family reunions, retreats, weddings and special events. 5 wonderful golf courses within a short ride. Seasonal polo on grounds. Fishing on grounds. Stocked creek. Home is very private, surrounded by trees and nature located down in a glen by a pond and creek. Wild berries grow everywhere for picking. All year-round fun!!! Lakes, state parks, rafting, ski slopes, casino, aquarium, Happy Trails horseback riding, animal parks, water parks, etc nearby. Chalet has 6 bedrooms and 4 1/2 baths, with private queen master suite. Chalet has a game room with couches and flat screen TV as well as Ping Pong table. This level opens to expansive side yard with horseshoe pit and seating. Large yard areas all around the property for outside games and group activities. Creekside picnic area. Gas firepit and wood firepit on rear deck and patio. Large grill on rear deck with seating, which overlooks the rear lawn, pond and backside of Elk Mountain. Linens and bath towels provided. Fully stocked kitchen. Hot tub. WIFI. Landline phone provided as a courtesy. Grocery store, pizza, sandwiches, wine and beer shop and Dollar Store for necessities all within 3-5 miles of our home. Several local catering options for meal delivery upon request. Perfect for family gatherings, birthday celebrations, reunions, retreats, ski season, romantic or private getaways.

The property is conveniently located to elk Mountain ski resort. The kitchen is perfect for gathering with friends and the fireplace creates a cozy experience. The hot tub was great after a long day on the slopes. Plenty of parking and was clean and rather spacious. This is our 3rd time staying at this property.

The property was beautiful! It was as pictured! Accommodated my family of 21 from 6 months to 71 years. Has a separate little apartment for those who want or need to get away! One problem was cell phone service. Not good. Owner was very accessible! Great location for Elk Mt. skiers. My family had a great time except for Eagles loss.

This was our second time staying at the property for a ski weekend at Elk. Plenty of space for our group of multiple families with kids ranging from 2-13. The house is clean and well-stocked, the owners are so nice, and the proximity to Elk is great (10-15 min). It’s hard to find spots for larger groups in the area, but I’d definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Laura’s fantastic property! It was a belated celebration with close friends for my husbands 40th. The house was great for cooking for large groups. My husband really enjoyed fishing in the mornings, my kids loved the swing set & spotting deer families on the property. The hot tub & grill were great & we had a lovely weekend with dear friends. The house was very clean & Laura was very responsive. I’d say the house is best for 10-15 people comfortably. The whole area is gorgeous & we enjoyed the drive everywhere we went!

Overall our stay was great. It was the perfect setting for our small wedding/elopement. The property is secluded and gorgeous. The trails down to the creek are easy to access and the perfect getaway spot.
There were some things that were less than ideal that I feel should be mentioned for others that may want to book the property. None of these would deter me from renting, but it’s always nice to have the full picture before you arrive.
The house was clean as far as linens and clutter. However the general state of the house was dirty. We needed to vacuum floors and wipe counters before we really did anything. Some areas of floors (like in the corners) were visibly dirty with dirt/dust/buildup, spiderwebs everywhere, etc.
It was never told to us that polo is played right up against the property. This means that riders on horses are hitting a ball towards the property during the day and evening. We did not mind this but it was unexpected and definitely a shock.
The person of contact was a bit unorganized and was difficult to communicate with. Leading up to a weekend away and a wedding, this can be an area of concern.

Even nicer than the pictures make it look. Perfect for multiple families with small children. Stayed on the property all weekend, let the kids roam at the creek and on the swing set, plenty of seating for group meals.

My group had a fantastic time at Laura's place - the house is very comfortable and spacious. Great cooking facilities. The real gem is the property -- the brook in the back and pond were really nice to hang out at, and we even caught some people playing polo on the field. Highly recommend!

Tranquility
Amazing huge house, beautiful area around. Great lawn to do yoga. We saw bunnies and deers. Grateful for this opportunity to detach from NYC and have awesome quiet stay.
Oh and the Jacuzzi and grill were awesome.

Wow! What an awesome property, home, and owner. My group has all agreed it was the best mountain weekend we have ever had. The house was exactly as described and so much more. There were tons of little details to show how much Laura cared about our stay. Home was stocked with all paper products, kitchen items, etc. The property and view to the pond was breathtaking. Communication with Laura was extremely easy and quick. You will not be disappointed!

Great house for a ski weekend
We had a great weekend here! We had three families with plenty of space. The house was clean and well stocked and on a private and beautiful property. The property managers were super nice and accommodating. We loved having the bonus features of ping pong table, hot tub, fire pit, etc…. I would definitely return.

Great house
Everything was great with the house. Very clean. Kitchen was well stocked. Kids went exploring on the grounds and had a blast. Slightly longer to Elk Mountain skiing than listed (took us around 15 minutes to get there).

Thanksgiving
This house suited our needs for a large thanksgiving gathering of three families. The hot tub got a lot of use and the setting was lovely. The owner was very responsive and even brought us extra supplies on thanksgiving day!

Wonderful retreat
What a wonderful retreat. The entrance comes up on you suddenly. It is secluded down a hill. There is a beautiful pond and stream behind the home. Very modern and comfortable. Can’t wait to come back! Thank you Laura & Peter!

Overall good experience minus the water
Overall the property was great and had number of amenities. But the water for bathroom and kitchen use smelled like sulphur and had a coloration. I think this is due to high mineral content in the area in general. The owner was prompt to send someone to take a look and change the water filter, but we would have appreciated a heads up. Also, the property can use a better cleanin- we saw spider webs and food crumbs on floors and corners. However, the property location was great and it was not too difficult to overlook these cons.

The property was amazing but the lack of communication almost led to total chaos & do not want any future brides to go through the same experience.

I rented this property for 4th of July weekend with some of my extended family. Its a fantastic property (secluded, private, clean) and has plenty of rooms for everyone to have their own space. Amazing!
Wow! What a beautiful property! We booked last minute after another property fell through and Laura was so helpful in ensuring our trip didn’t get ruined! We were a group of 19 adults and had more than enough room to enjoy our stay. We especially loved wandering to the small creek nearby to cool down during the day! Thank you for helping us have a wonderful weekend!! I would definitely return and highly recommend!
