Yellow Haven experience

The pool The view The cavern. Love it. The honey braised ribs🥺🥺🥺🥺 The pond The open lake upfront. I loved it all.

I hated 1 thing only. The barista with short dreads has a nasty attitude. Doesn't weigh her responses before speaking. Maybe a little staff training to......polish the rough edges if you know what I mean. The toilet system in the cavern is really weird. I get that it's meant to be cave like but, it can't flush properly. Needs to be changed.

Great view, zero internet, property not properly managed

Spectacular view

Parts of the garden have not been cleared of trash. The kitchen is lacking some basics, such as wooden spoons and a cutting board. There was an extremely noisy group staying on one of the nights and the staff did nothing to tell them to keep the noise down. If you need internet for remote working, forget it - there is zero internet access.

We did not get what we booked!

Great location, nice architecture, nice staff and good food.

We booked a family appartment for 2 days, but upon checking in we were given 2 seperate appartments (organisational faillure?). One of those (Wax Bill) wasn't really an appartment, because thete were no kichen facilities and yhere was no fridge. Our 2 kids (10 and 14) were supposed to stay in The Cave, a 'cave like' 2 pers. room with private deck. Since our kids were disappointed not to stay with us and because the found the Cave a bit strange, they stayed with us in the 2nd room. The next morning I discussed this with Peter, the manager, and told him that we were planning to use the private deck of the Cave during day time then. He agreed and told me that it was al for the same price as stipulated at our booking. Unfortunately we were not able to enjoy our private deck since other guests we occupying it and even got served drinks there by the staff. I asked the staff multiple times to help us use our deck, but they didn't react or didn't succeed to clear our deck. Finally we gave up. The next morning before checking out, I explained my displeasure to s staff member and asked her to reconsidder the price for our 2 nights, since we absolutely did NOT get what we booked. After a phone call with management (Peter?) we were told that they found no reason what so ever to compensate us. I find it very disappointing that a professional organisation is not able to accept the fact that they made a mistake and compensate their guests!

Charming place

The rooms are rustic but absolutely charming. The view, property and garden are absolutely lovely. The staff members are super friendly, the food is good and the cocktails areyummi.

The location is awesome. Plenty of birds in the garden.

No a/c. The only fan wasn't cooling down the room and it was extremely hot in the morning.

Yello haven is paradise outside Kampala Being my first to visit Africa from Ireland, it was home form home. Amazing staff, beautiful location I can't speak highly enough of this little paradise..

Passable

The position suited our requirements and it is on the lake. The staff were extremely accommodating, helpful and friendly. They made our stay. Restaurant was good and food very tasty. Pool area very nice.

Lodge on lake, but you cannot reach it and boat rotting in the water. How nice it would be if they could offer a boat ride from the front door! Accom appeared not clean, very cramped. Bed, a board, and unsure if it was clean. Only washbasin is in the toilet which was very small, with only cold water and small mirror - only mirror in room. Shower ok - clean- not sure!

Exceptional

Absolutely everything - an oasis in the middle of hot and busy Kampala. Joan is an exceptional hostess, seeing our tiredness after the trip and doing absolutely everything to help us fee at home and relax. The apartments are wonderful, as is the pub, the gardens, the pool…

Awesome location,very well priced.Very very clean rooms.Excellent host.I would recommend this all day everyday....

Arrived late,no dining facilities at night...I guess that was because it was kind of a slow day when I arrived.Acceptable.

Heavenly!

The Yellow Haven Lodge was serene and lively. Loved all the facilities that were at my disposal. The place was extremely neat and the staff had the best customer care that I have experienced. I felt at home.

The rooms had no bath robes. These make guests comfortable in the apartment blocks especially if they plan on staying indoors.

I loved the french onion soup.

Joan and Ronald are very friendly hosts ! They make you stay very enjoyable and ensure all the confort you need. I have stayed in the yellow top floor duplex and the view on the lake is so fantastic, i did not want to go back to France! Highly recommended.

Wonderful and relaxing!

Extremely open and generous hostess who made me feel comfortable, always ready to chat but also respecting privacy with very nice and helpful staff. The design of the rooms, facilities and gardens show great attention to detail which makes the place aesthetically pleasing and very comfortable. As a lover of nature, I particularly appreciated the gardens and views. The restaurant makes good food!

It is quite far from Kampala Center, takes about 30 minutes on a boda. But that cannot be helped if you want to have a beautiful lake view.

The fish pond is very relaxing esp at night as you dine.And the peace and quiet .

Unfortunately couldnt watch the birds the pier was flooded
