Beachway accommodation in Summerstrand,PE

The cleaner Jane welcomed us but directed us to an outside uncomfortable backroom.We thought our stay would be inside the main house,not realizing we shall be placed in a servants quarters

The uncomfortable small room faced the back yard wall which was not well-ventilated,causing me to develop influenza and a terrible cough on my 2nd day staying there,also the backyard left an unsafe feeling,as the wall was not secured.We could not access cooking facilities.Not even a airfryer,resulting in spending more money on takeaway food and the facility is a long distance from the beach, and restaurants resulting in daily trips with Ubers to all attractions and shopping.The manager/assistant person was very unfriendly in my friendly city hometown.So disappointing overall experience.Teabags in small unappetizing containers without lids were very unhygienic.Suggestion:Buy and provide small original products if you are supplying tea,coffee and sugar.

Amazing I can’t thank them enough. It was the only good thing out of a very stressful weekend.

Was in close proximity of everything. Clean, easy access, warm and safe. Staff was easy to find and VERY helpful especially Jen!

Overall it was a great experience.

The location is great, it's within walking distance from the beach. The host was very friendly and accommodating.

Overall it was good value for money.

Location was ideal for our walks and running.

Towels needs replacing and the room odour was too overwhelming. Also the sound on the steps when people returned to their rooms always woke us up.

It was ok

Well the venue was convenient as I was attending an event at the Boardwalk hotel. So it is close to the Boardwalk and is situated in a safe and quiet spot. The room has a bar fridge and microwave, which I needed.

There was a funny smell when I entered the room. Yes it looked clean and the windows and the sliding door were open. But still there was this funny smell. When I touched the remote control for the TV it was sticky as if it was touched by a child who was eating a chocolate. The entrance to the shower is for the slender. You enter the shower sideways. The linen is no longer white anymore. From the bed to the towels. I think these should be donated and new linen bought. The room could also do with a new wardrobe. The old wardrobe smells old. The owner could buy or build new cabinets. That will make a difference. A full length mirror will also make a difference especially for us ladies. Am wondering how short people see themselves in the bathroom mirror. It is placed too high.

The room was cheap but the room and service was poor.

The location was good, close to the beach restaurant's and shops.

We arrived late (6pm) due to transport issues and it took a while someone to open the gates for us and we were told that they had moved us to an upstairs room and put elderly in our room. We are not young in our late 60's and there was no one to help us with our large suitcases. We arrived home after an evening out at 11:30 and there were no lights up the stairs or in the room, also no torches and or candles. to me this was dangerous. The bed was not attached to the headboard and was noisy whenever we moved. There was also no water. The shower was blocked and flooded the bathroom. No attention to detail or upkeep.

Satisfaction

The place is close to the beach, shops and the casino. It is at the center of Gqeberha. It is easy to reach all malls.

There is nothing that I didn't like about it.

My first stay at Beachway Guesthouse

The view , the bedding and also the silence was top tier

Unpleasant stay at Beachway in Summerstrand

The property needs mantainance. I had cockroaches running up and down the kitchen cabinets. The painting on the walls is cracking. Bathroom 🚻 needs to be cleaned with good smelling detergents. My linen was not changed for five nights 😪 When I checked out, I asked one of the staff members to open the gate for me, she told me I can open the gate myself and throw the key in the box. When I did that, the sensor sensed me and kept on opening the gate. I then decided to throw the key in the yard because there was nothing i could do due to a lazy staff member refusing to open the gate for me. I had the most unpleasant stay at Beachway. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. My advice, mantainance of the building, make sure you train your staff so that they understand hospitality and neatness.

My stay was okay, the place is beautiful but they should have told me that they are renovating.

The location was great, it's self catering, they don't serve breakfast.

The staff could be more professional and the check in shouldn't be so much hustle.
