Escapada familiar a Senegal

Localización perfecta, a pie de playa, en un entorno muy tranquilo. El personal del hotel nos recogió en el aeropuerto y nos llevo al final de la estancia. Habitaciones comodas, con ventilador, mosquiteras y aire acondicionado. Desayuno rico y suficiente todas las mañanas viendo el mar y la playa. El personal muy amable y las instalaciones cuidadas. Puedes escoger si quedarte en las tumbonas de la piscina, bajar a la playa o hacer alguna excursion. El hotel es tranquilo, no tiene ruidos ni trafico. Es un hotel pequeño, un entorno mas bien familiar y amistoso, donde coincides con otros viajeros en la piscina o el desayuno, siendo una experiencia muy agradable.

En general no tenemos ninguna queja. El hotel esta en la misma playa, pero no es el centro. Si todos los días quieres ir a un centro comercial o explorar restaurantes, es posible que tengas que desplazarte un poco. Para nosotros era normalmente unos 20-30 minutos caminando por la playa en un paseo muy agradable.

Superb

We stayed during a work trip and the place was a nice retreat after a long day of meetings for the team. Much better than one of the resorts. Excellent breakfast, and also dinner when we had that. Nice and accommodating staff.

The water was cold in the showers in the morning, but i think that's just because of the solar. It was always perfectly fine later in the day. Also, it's not uncommon in Senegal to not have warm water, so i don't flaw the place for it. A cold shower can be good in the morning.

If we could, we would stay longer, 100% would recommend!

The thing we loved the most about Mima was the fact that it was in a very quiet area, so peaceful and very friendly staff. Laye and the other young man's service was exceptional and the breakfast 10/10.

The only negative thing was that the walls are very thin and so you could easily hear voices in the next apartment.

Exceptional

We had the best week at Mima!! First of all the house itself is BEAUTIFUL, stylishly decorated, and the location is perfect, away from the hustle of Saly center but a short walk from several cute restaurants and local shops. The beach itself is really nice and you can walk in either direction for even more stunning beaches and delicious seafood lunches at any of the numerous beach shack restaurants. The staff were AMAZING too, super helpful and friendly! They helped us out with tips, organizing excursions, driving us around/helping us get taxis, etc. Finally, do make sure you try the dinners at Mima at least one night during your stay since the food is delicious! We would love to come back.

The only slight issue was the noise, as the rooms are right next to each other and you can sometimes hear other people talking, coming and going in their rooms

Abaolutely loved the stay and the reception from the host

My wife and I spent a few nights here but it was some of the best nights we’ve had in a hotel. I’ll start with the hospitality and warmth of the hosts here: we had a flight delay and ended up arriving a day after we were meant to, but they were kind enough to offer us a free night. The manager Laye was super helpful in getting my wife's delayed luggage back, showing us the city and made our stay infinitely better than it would have been. The hotel in itself is a beauty, the decor is so lovely and well thought of, everything just works! The complimentary breakfast as well is an experience. I’d recommend MIMA any day anytime, an easy 5 stars for me.

The best trip of my life!!!

Our honeymoon in Mbour was nothing short of magical. We had the incredible chance for arriving the two days of the year this paradise is visited by THOUSANDS of white butterflies. From the exceptional and kind staff, our decorated room to the outstanding cuisine and facilities- I count our stay at Beachhouse Mima as on of the happiest and most perfect time of my life. Walking the beach with my love, surrounded by white butterflies, I cried tears of joy and awe!!! The only problem I had was saying goodbye to life in paradise when it was time to go.

Hidden Gem.

Everything else. It's new. Well-maintained. 👍 👌

The flies but that might be because of the time of year but soon as ANY food came around, they attacked. And the ants too. Mosquitoes as well but that's expected. The rooms are a bit small too but you won't be spending too much time in there. Also, I was told after check-in that they only accepted cash or bank transfers but nowhere on the site did it mention that.

Exceptional

We enjoyed our stay very much, Mima is super comfortable, we loved the modern design of the place, the beach walks, relaxed in the pool, cooked in the well equipped kitchen and felt very looked after by Laye and his team. All in all we had a very relaxing stay!

Welcome home - Welcome in Paradise - Welcome in Mima‘s Beach House

Our time in Mima‘s Beach House was amazing and unforgettable, it was paradise and more than I was expecting! The house is so beautiful, having breakfast in the morning with an amazing ocean view made me speechless! The whole Mima team is so loving and caring , that it feels like family, it felt like home! Special thanks to Laye and Mima, you are wonderful! We will never forget our time in Mima‘s beach house and surely will come back!

One for the book. Love it

The property is absolutely gorgeous, I don’t think the pictures do it justice. I would recommend it to anyone & would be staying there again. I love how clean everything was and the friendly service.

A wonderful, relaxing place to stay in the sleepy town of Saly

Staying at Beachhouse Mima was a very comfortable and relaxing experience. We had planned on several activities to occupy our time in Saly but we ended up loving hanging around the house and beach instead for the most part. Everyday, Laye made us a fresh and delicious sumptious breakfast of fresh juices, baguettes, omelettes and crepes; all with our choice of coffees and teas. The decor and the design of the beachhouse were very aestheically pleasing and comfortable. The WiFi connection was always strong and fast. It would be a great place for a friend group or family gathering to unwind and enjoy themselves, I am really looking forward to returning later in the year!

As much as we enjoyed the beach house new and modern features, we found it inconvenient to not have a TV to ourselves in the room. Laye, our caretaker was great and helpful but there was a little language barrier as I was the only one of the guests conversant in French. Though the beach house was cleaned daily, we found the underneath of our beds had a bit of dust that triggered my friend's allergies. We arrived during a public holiday period so many places to eat around us were not open so we did have to make trips to the supermarket (which were about 20minutes away on foot but were taxis available after a 5minute walk or so) to make our own meals.
