Worse experience ever. I regret the day I booked with that hotel.

Liked the fact that the area is too tight when comes to security

I was very disappointed when I arrived at the hotel they told me that they gave my room to certain people which are white couple and mind due I've already booked the room one month before my arrival! They even contact me asking me to pay deposit and I did just that but when I arrived at the hotel they say we have given ur room to certain people and I couldn't understand why then call me to pay deposit to secure the apartment ? Wht hurt me most is I booked that space month before now they telling me that me and the other couple we double booked the room and deep down I knew that is not possible cos m used to book at booking.com and I've never experienced such thing. Fortunately I told them that if I don't get wht m booked for they must refund back my money cos I can not take what I did not buy or book . The living room did not have TV the kitchen did not HV cloth, sunlight liquid nor did they have cooking pots we only got one small pot and 4cups imagine been family of 7 and sharing 4 cups. In a scale of 10/10 from my side they deserve 1/10

Lieu atypique et charmant

Endroit atypique avec des chambres épurées, confortables et charmantes et des salles de bain incroyables, ouvertes sur l’extérieur. Virginia est très aimable et de bons conseils. Le quartier de Melville, un peu à l’extérieur du centre, est un endroit agréable où séjourner, tranquille entre rues résidentielles et carrefour animé avec des restaurants et bars sympathiques !

Ruime en mooie kamer. Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Fijne wijk in Joburg met lekkere restaurantjes op loopafstand.

Geweldig!

Prachtige ruime kamer met een heerlijke badkamer erbij. Moderne inrichting van alle gemakken voorzien! Heerlijk geslapen en het personeel is super behulpzaam. Accomodaties is goed beveiligd met poorten en zelfs een night- Watch (die zelfs met ons meeliep naar en terug van het restaurant, Thank you Tyson!) we hadden een kort verblijf maar we zouden er zeker langer willen blijven. Ontbijt wordt uitbesteed aan een restaurant aan de overkant van de straat maar dat was heerlijk! Thank you!

Best stay in Melville Johannesburg. Good value for money

Contemporary modern style. They upgraded me to the Courtyard room which had a semi outdoor bathroom. the host was beyond fantastic and welcoming. Definitely will go back to stay again.

Best location, beautiful staff and perfect room for a couple.

V and Tyson made the stay at Motel Mi Pi Chi what it was and they always go above and beyond to make sure your stay is as comfortable as it can be. We will be back again I’m sure ❤️

Air-conditioning not working Tv pictures no visible. No breakfast yet it is in the advert. Beds are not comfortable. The manager does not take customer serious there is no customer service

A hidden germ

The bathroom design was exceptional. They provided a room with a desk and a chair which I needed as this was a trip for academic purposes.

The wifi was not available for most days due to cable theft, it was only available on the last day.

Refined aesthetics lacking basic supplies

Rooms are beautifully decorated, very big and comfortable e with a charming common area. The bigger and comfier bed I slept in South Africa. I also appreciated the many backup lights, very helpful during frequent load shedding, but the big issue was water. No running water in the room most of the time is not acceptable for what I paid.

This is my only accommodation experience in Johannesburg but I didn't meet so many issues with load shedding in my entire journey. I'm aware of the lacking water and electricity supplies that affect all the country, but even in the most secluded homestay I had running water guaranteed 24/7, most of the times even hot water. Here instead water runs only a few hours in the morning and the alternative to have a shower is the gym across the street, same property but with a generator. This is a real shame given the refined aesthetics of the accommodation.

Location was great. It has this great atmosphere and vibe, I really love the style and architecture!

Superb

Virginia & Tyson are friendly and helpful. Room comfortable and the whole premises tastefully designed. I felt completely at home and an easy walk to Melville's bars and also the shops at Campus Square. Highly recommended!

I will definitely come back if I have something bringing me to Johannesburg.

The staff were very nice and didn’t waste time to solve any issues experienced during my stay. I also like the fact that they have a mini bar where I can get drinks and water without having to go to the mall

It is quite difficult to know the exact entrance to the building.

I’d give it 2/5…the aesthetics are beautiful but that’s about it…

I loved the aesthetics The bathroom is beautiful loved the concrete feel and look

The rooms are not separate from the main house which means there’s really not much privacy as the walls are thin Under the summary it was stated that breakfast would be available however this wasn’t the case

No issues at all Tula, Virginia and the Guy who works over night was extremely helpful and so kind.

Beautiful and amazing room design and setup. I’m a nerd so I’m favorite part of the stay was the desk. Perfect lighting and good space

Fantastic stay, value for money. I'd high recommend a stay here :)

Virginia is a fantatstic host who makes you feel right at home. The rooms are really spacious, and the private garden was the cherry on top.

A few more plug points, specifically close to the bed for charging of phones,
