We used to boil rain water as drinking water. The internet is very weak and the communication path is very difficult and muddy due to heavy rain.

Location - An idyllic location within walking distance of super walks! My husband enjoyed the Run Kapchorwa challenge while I enjoyed a local hike. A short distance from Sipi, too! We went there for a day to hike the waterfalls. Room - Clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. Facilities - The food here is exceptional. Breakfast, lunch and dinner could not be flawed. I had a steak after our day hiking and I think it is one of the best steaks I've ever had! If you're a foodie like me, you'll enjoy this spot! Staff - Very helpful and friendly. We booked some excursions through the property and they were a great help in doing this. Nothing was a bother for them.

We really couldn't fault our stay here, it was super value for money and we would definitely stay again!

An oasis close to Sipi fall. only a few rooms available but clean, nice outside facilities to sit and relax. Good food, nice hikes, in summary a great place. very nice staff and helpful. we enjoyed our hike to the local falls at Kapchorwa with Romy. Daan and his wife welcomed us and made our stay special.

Superb hilltop location, nicely laid out. Clean room. The electric shower is backed up by solar heating, in case of power cuts, but note that the solar heated water can be very hot. The staff were attentive and friendly and the food was very good.

Limited bandwidth meant that wifi was not always available. The roads to access the property were unmade and rough.

Wonderful and quiet place, friendly owners and staff, delicious food and comfortable rooms. Very close to Sipi Falls, Mt. Elgon and many other turistic activities. Worth to spend time here.

Home of friends is an exceptional place where you can not only relax but also eat very well. Home of friends is an excellent base for tours around Mt Elgon. The whole staff is friendly and accommodating, not least because of Eliza and her charisma.

The attitude of lady who checked us in (Elisa if I'm not wrong) was terrible. Since I was asking to have dinner for the group around 20:00 and we were checking in 19:30 she told me that if we don't take the dinner at 20:00, the kitchen and dining area will be closed at 21:00! The room door's lock was confusing, even my washroom didn't have a key to lock, and as I asked Elisa to bring the key for the lock, she was trying to convince me to use it without the lock, witch I was staying in the room with another friend! The shower in my room was broken and when I asked her to fix it, she just smiled at me. During check out she asked me to leave good comments on Booking.com

This is a very nice place to stay, with amazing value for money! The food is great, the whole place is very well kept with a lovely garden (and bonfires at night) and the rooms are very neat and tidy. Much recommended if you're going to Sipi and don't mind not staying right next to the waterfalls.

The bathroom was very small. Also, if you plan to take a tour of a local coffee plantation, try not to do it through the hotel if you can. It's convenient but they charge $15 per person, which is exorbitant compared to local price standards if you take the tour on your own.
