Hang out, chill, surf, get good food, sleep, repeat.

You always meet the right people at the right time. Afer seems to have that kind of vibe- probably mostly thanks to the way the staff is inclusive and welcoming every guest.

Very sweet surf house, would recommend!

The overall atmosphere in the hostel is really nice. Hamza, Yassin and Yassin are fantastic hosts. They provide local tips, surfing lessons, surfing equipment, chill evenings in the hostel itself, et cetera. The place is also daily cleaned which is very nice. Everything works perfectly in the hostel and there is a very good wifi connection.

The beds may be too hard for some people, even though this was a minor issue.

i regret lu stay there, the place is too dirty too dark. if everything is already rented try to go on other websites but

location is great, staff is kind.

it’s sooooo dirty, not clean enough out sheet we’re smelling bad when we arrive. the staff sleep in the chill area on the roof.

Friendly staff.

The kitchen was very dirty and messy (it seemed like it never got cleaned by the staff in the three days I stayed), and the whole place was a little messy and funky (compared to other surf hostels I stayed at in the area). Friendly staff, but surfer bro vibe. Totally a good spot if that’s what you’re looking for, but not really my jam. No breakfast: other spots had breakfast for the same cost per night. Not a great location to the beach.

The hosts has a really nice vibe and its easy to meet new people there. I stayed for 4 weeks an had a really good time. The two yassins are really friendly and will always help you out with everything. Definitely coming back!

Amazing place! Top owners, vibe, beds and sheets. The staff has been so kind, nice, welcoming and helping from the very beginning, satisfying my 1240 needs and beyond. It feels like home. I'd defo go back if I could.

Loved it, would definitely come again:)

I had an amazing time at the Afer hostel. The guys working there were super friendly and accomodating, and the vibes in general were great. It's a really cool place in the perfect location to relax and surf for a week (or longer!!). <3

We had the best time and everything was perfect! The hostel is a great place to get to know new people and we felt home after only a few days. The rooms were clean, Wi-Fi was working perfectly and the guys working at the hostel are the best :)) We will definitely come back

Great for meeting people, but not the cleanest place we’ve stayed

The guys working there were great and the atmosphere in the evening was nice and sociable. The WiFi worked well on the rooftop :)

None of the bathrooms were clean (the middle bathroom was the cleanest but still not great) The mattress was really hard, but I think this is common across Maroc. Noise really echo’s through the staircase so it was difficult to sleep when people were still socialising on the roof, but we spoke to the manager for this and he was really helpful with keeping the noise down for further evenings.

Chill hostel with good vibes

We liked the hostel, simple but with a nice rooftop! The team is friendly, helpfull (always around and available) and really chill. Good wifi if you need to work, and plugs everywhere (in the room and on the rooftop). Our room was really nice: with decorations and a desk (again if you need to work).

Small defects in the bathroom (small indicators of mold and a missing curtain in one of the bathrooms). Imsouane is mostly quiet, but right now there are a lot of constructions around, and noisy dogs at night. But that's not their fault :)

Feels like a place where people are at home/comfortable

The staff was so kind and really made you feel at ease/home. The beds were good and although I stayed in the dorm, you had some privacy due to the curtains. The rooftop is also lovely and I think the relaxed vibe of the staff attracts guests who have the same attitude.

Maybe improve the facilities of the bathroom a bit, so it feels even more comfortable. But that does not mean it does not have everything it should have already.

We fell in love with the place and the guys running the hostel. We felt immediately at home with them and the chill out there is fantastic!! People usually meet there and they listen to some music. The vibes are amazing. We booked a private room and it was the nicest room we’ve been in. Everything was perfect. Don’t miss this place if you wanna know the real Imsouane and fell in love with it. Also! If you are interested in surf lessons, one of the guys, Yassin, can teach you for a good price. He is a really good surfer, teacher and a really good person also. The other guy that works there, Yassim, is the funniest and nicest guy of all times. Good job guys 🧡 We’ll be back for sure! Shukran, Emma&Barbara

A true gem

The guys of the hostel are amazing. They help you with every problem and care a lot about your stay at the hostel and in the village. - they keep the place very clean. even if everyone brings in sand from surfing, the hostel is always clean. - the rooms have a good size, so you have enough space for yourself. (Free locks for the stay) - the beds are really comfy and strong so there is no noice when someone is moving during the night. - they have nice big showers with warm water (free towels) - the rooftop is a true gem. It has a nice view and a really cool common area to hang out. If there is a rainy day, you can definitely hang out there for a whole day and just chill with other guests or the guys of the hostel. If the sun is out, you get a nice sunbath on the roof and have a nice sunset from the top. - you reach everything in walking distance. 5 minutes to the surfspots, shops, and restaurants. - you can rent surf equipment if you need or have your own equipemnt stored in the board shack. Would definitely recommend this hostel!

Cozy hostel nearby everything, you’ll feel at home!

I got to Afer after a friend recommended it, and it exceeded my expectations. On a practical note: the beds are very comfortable, the rooms spacious and clean, it has two lovely terraces where you can chill and enjoy the view, and the toilets, showers and kitchen are comfy and clean. On an emotional note: the staff is the best. They were incredibly helpful since the moment I booked, helping me with transportation and late check in, and then made me feel at home for all my stay there. They’re fun, lovely, professional and helpful. I’ll definitely go back. Thank you!
