This is my 4:th time at Tumi Hostel, that says a lot! The room is spacious and clean, the bed big and nice, the staff is friendly and the food ... the food is the best part! I Always stay at Tumi when I am in Kumasi!
There are some mosquitos outside, but that is not the hotels fault.

Bonne cuisine local.

Amazing food! Great women's empowerment project. I had my skirt sewn there, super fast! Due to an emergency we had in Tamale hospital, staff accomodated our needs to change the date of our stay the very last minute. We really appreciated that! Coming back, I arrived very late in the night and there was someone there to check me in which I was happy for!

Nice atmosphere, good rooms and great food
Only private rooms available are quite large I believe so a bit expensive - but only an issue if you are a solo traveller looking for a private room

Very spacious rooms and bathrooms and cleaned daily. Rich meals and tasty snacks all homemade and vegetarian (meat option on request). Also the staff is really kind and helpful, as were the other guests.
I stayed in a private room first and in the dorm after. While overall I had a great experience some of the mattresses were pretty hard, that's maybe something to consider for people with backpain :)

I loved the cosy feel of Tumi. Staff are attentive and very helpful. I loved all the locally produced knick knacks and fresh food. Breakfast was super!
My stay was too short!

Great breakfast and food
Possibly to get next-day tailored clothes with beautiful fabrics, they do amazing work for a good cause (to be clear, you can get this all over Ghana and especially in the Kumasi area, but it's particularly helpful to be in the hostel itself where you can take measurements in peace and quiet. Next-day you pay an extra, 2 days it's normal price. You choose the fabric and they do the shirt/pants/jacket/whatever they can do and you ask.
Felt safe and reserved
Good dorm conditions, bathroom also good with enough space for everyone to store its toilettries
Might be the best option in Kumasi to meet solo travellers and backpackers.
International dinner on Fridays allows to get to meet immigrants in Kumasi (expats).
Filtered water available for free.
Really exceeded expectations.

I made a great choice choosing Tumi Hostel during my stay in Kumasi. The hostel produces handicrafts (beadwork and clothes) and soaps - and supporting local women in the community - amazing initiative!
Minor things: the bathroom window didn't have curtains; prepare to pay in Ghana cedi. They couldn't accept foreign currency

Lovely staff, perfect place to relax after exploring the busy city. Food is very tasty, rooms are comfortable and very clean. The women empowerment project adds extra shine to the place. Very kid friendly, games and toys are available at the hostel. The price is very very reasonable especially since breakfast is included. Definitely a place we would go again when we visit Kumasi.

very friendly staff, good food, wonderful ambiance. would really recommend it to anyone visiting Kumasi. I came there for work, and all facilities met my expectations: good breakfast, good wifi, good beds. however, the ambiance is what makes this the gem of the city.

Lovely hostel, super friendly staff, great food for reasonable prices (the carrot cake was to die for). The room was spacious and nicely decorated. Cute shop with self-made items like clothes, bags and accessories. Will be sure to come back!
The only thing I missed was a mosquito net in the room! I know that a lot of places dont offer them in rooms with AC, but there were a lot of mosquitos around and I did get quite a few bites, so we ended up putting up our own net.

Tumi Hostel is a beautiful place hosting a women empowerment project. On site women learn to sew, they propose a variety of activities including Twi classes every Tuesday.
My experience there was amazing, and the staff was lovely.
The room was super clean, big, there is a fan in the room and a clean private bathroom.
Breakfast was good, we had bread, banana pancakes, pineapple juice, home made jams and peanut butter.
They propose veggie and non veggie meals at a very reasonable price.
localisation is good, next to the city mall and city center
I can only recommend this place in Kumasi!
