The fact that you don’t have kettle in the room to make hot drinks

Good location, spacious room & bathroom, friendly staff

The staff was friendly, the great location, their helpfulness, the security guard made us feel safe.
The rooms were big and with great beds.
The rooms were big and comfortable but dusty and not so clean, especially the bathroom and toilet. I had to ask them the next day after we arrived to clean everything. The rooms are a bit old and need some painting and refurbishment, just like the entire hotel, who seems to be a bit forgotten and not really maintained. We later stayed at a way better hotels and cheaper in Dakar in also good areas.

-Very nice and friendly staff who went out of their way to assist whenever they could. Especially the lady who works in the morning. We don't speak French well and she was very patient while we used Translate to help us get around and direct drivers to the property.
-Great conversations with the hotel manager over drinks in the evening
-The rooms are very spacious and clean for the most part (see below about my one bad experience).
-Great WiFi.
-On my first night, the room I was given had just been vacated and had a strong smell of cigarettes. I asked them to clean it and open up the windows for a while which they did but the pillows and duvet were not clean and still had a strong smell of perfume/BO. It was late at this point and the staff had left so I was forced to sleep without the pillows and duvet (thankfully it wasn't cold). The next day I was moved to a different room and my stay was pleasant from then on.
-The rooms could use a fresh coat of paint as they are not quite as per the pictures
-A nice piece of artwork to liven up the rooms would be great!

The hotel manager Pape was helpful and accommodating. My cousin and I traveled between Senegal & Gambia and Pape helped guide us with restaurants recommendations, the local cost for taxis and more. He even communicated with us when we were making arrangement to return to Dakar from Banjul. He arranged a taxi driver to pick me up from the airport after midnight. Waited for me at the hotel to check in. I felt safe and comfortable at the hotel thanks to Pape. We were in constant communication via text/WhatsApp. He allowed me to check out late as my flight back home was at 10 on ish. .
We had issues with the bathroom but Pape fixed it immediately.

We had the most horrible experience at this hotel. During new years eve we were robbed during our sleep. Intruders stole our phones, laptop and watch but thank god not our passports or money (there is no safe in the room so we had to hide it).
We reported it at the police station. We stayed at the first floor. Someone parked a mini van to have access. The sliding doors are easy to force, there were no cameras, it was a very quiet street and the guard was present but not making rounds. The police suspects that someone must have known what we were carrying in the room.
The manager came in late in the morning, despite being informed, didn't inform the owner and offered us no compensation. We switched hotels that same day.
Apart from the robbery, there were sex workers walking in and out, there was no generator and the food was overpriced (think radisson blu a la carte )
I'm happy we are in good health but this was a holiday nightmare. Never again!
Ps this is the only negative thing I ever experienced in Senegal. Overall people are very friendly and peacefull.

The location if the hotel was really good, close to the main road and several restaurants to choose.
Our checking was 1 hour late and the toilette was broken when we got up. Right after we checked in to our room we hade asked them to come clean it and made excuses about the cleaner forget to finish the moping.
The morning after we hade sewage water from the toilet all the way to the hall on our shoes.
Our youngest threw up.
We talked to them again with excuses and they cleaned up but told us that they would get it fixed by a plumber while we were out for the day.
That was a f lie, we come back later that day and still water this time the smell was unbearable and the kids couldn't eat at the room.
The "manager" (pa) comes confirms the horrible smell, again apologises and leaves.
I ask to speak to the person in charge the morning after we talk to the actual owner Jean-pierre and the hade the nerve to blame it on our kids for breaking the toilet 🤣🤣🤣I am so pissed and mortified about the treatment and how they choose to handle this nightmare. And as an owner have the nerve to you poorly managed hotel across the world blame on a 3 year old.
No accountability, no reasoning and not a single compensation for our weekend in sewage
THAT PISSED ME OFF!!!
