So stylish, friendly staff, the yummy breakfast (great fresh fruit selection and al the types of eggs on can wish for). All so pleasant on the eyes. Beach bar 150 meters from the property. Did I mention the staff?
Nothing really - if anything it’s too bad the beach view was stolen. Oh and the English crowd don’t integrate (which was weird for me being in London all the time for work but not being British myself and trust me, we tried the small talk to no avail :)

- Vriendelijkheid en voorkomendheid personeel. Men doet er alles aan om het naar je zin te maken.
- Het opengeslagen bed, chocolaatje en gedicht op je kussen als je 's-avonds op je kamer komt.
- Lekker groot bed, heerlijke douche.
- Uitgebreid ontbijt incl. glaasje Champagne.
- Prima locatie vlak bij het strand.

The history of it and the decor in the room. The food at the restaurant was also very good, and although you dont see the sea, it is a short walk away, so great location.
It would be great to be able to purchase Kay and Monty wines from the hotel, I certainly would have bought a box.
1.Loadshedding is a dampner with not being able to boil the kettle, it would have been a great gesture for the hotel to offer hot water delivery to the room at a certain time when it was loadshedding schedule.
2. The second night, we had no hot water and so had to use the room across the hall, which was irritating.

Breakfast was generous and well presented.

loved the property. everything was gorgeous and the staff exceptional BUT there is no alternative power. in SA it is a must and the load shedding is pretty bad at the moment. this let the hotel down badly

The historical building, rooms and staff were all excellent.

An amazing boutique hotel that really does go the extra mile for its guests. Turn downs, a detailed introduction of the history of the building and an amazing spa treatment.
We were the only ones staying in the hotel that night so it lacked a little atmosphere, but the staff were so upbeat and friendly and went out of their way to make us welcome.

The interior decor beautifully done and the old parts of the place lovingly restored. Great breakfast in the most idyllic setting - it felt like we were dining in a little piece of paradise! The manager Sam went above and beyond to make our stay memorable - we can't wait to visit again!
With all of the load shedding I would have expected that some form of backup electricity would have been organised by now. I believe that this is planned in the near future which is great.

Excellent facilities and well trained, friendly staff.
Nothing to dislike
