Very pleasant with friendly staff and great location

Excellent location, walking distance to almost everywhere, from Joe's Beer house to artscraft centre and Goodfellas restaurant, National museum, etc. The staff was so friendly, helping out a lot and giving us advises. The lodge is clean, with simple but decent breakfast. Rooms had good size, and they were able to fulfill our special request. The staff was very friendly to help us deal with all considering we hade a 1 year old girl.

It is not an issue with the property or that, it is just a wish since it was cold, we wish that the sitting area outside the rooms had an umbrella or shade to protect us from the fog and cold, since we couldn't stay inside to avoid making noise to the our babygirl. We also think that the breakfast could have more option.

Superb

We had a very comfortable stay here as our plans changed and we had to extend our stay a few times. The staff were very helpful and friendly as well as accommodating with the changes and needs. It was great that they also served supper.

Great place for vacation

The hotel is exceptional except the channels aren't much and interesting

Slept well, good shower but will not recommend or visit again.

I liked the friendliness of the staff and location. Also very clean.

The establishment is very basic. The basic accommodation is truly basic - typical maids quarters. The asking price is not commensurate to what is offered.

Overall a very good experience. We would certainly book again if we returned to Windhoek.

Very friendly and efficient staff on reception. Smiling faces at breakfast time - super eggs and bacon.

The fridge in our room was quite noisy - also gave out rather a lot of heat while running.

Nice and quite place to stay in Windhoek, family owned with great staff ...

Nice staff and owners who made us feel like being at home. Very good service even when we arrived late and the kitchen was closed. The staff was always willing to help. Quite place. At a walking distance of the Village (location of several restaurants).

The pillows, only negative point during the stay.

It has a large parking and a nice room for breakfast. Breakfast was good and the staff was nice. For one night it is a good choise.

we had the room next to the swimming pool. It had not a proper door but a window. We did not feel privacy at all. The bathroom was also not so good, the door is not a proper door that you can lock… i didn’t like it.

Very homely and welcoming hotel in a great central location, we would stay again

The hotel is very well located, just off one of the main roads in central Windhoek, secure shaded on-site parking and within 3mins walking distance of some great local restaurants = super! We had a great reception and check-in - receptionist could not have had a bigger smile (we even had help from one of the maintenance team to carry heavy bags - thank you!). The room was a good size with coffee facilities, balcony, wifi - very clean and comfortable. Although we didn't sit around the pool or go for a swim, the communal pool area looked like a great place to relax and take some time out. We would certainly consider to stay here again, thank you!

Only minor suggestions: coffee at breakfast is a minor religion for most, so while the flask coffee ticked the box, it would be great if the hotel could invest in a commercial coffee machine for guests. Offering a small selection of pastries/ artisan breads from a local baker would take things to the next level (perhaps I missed them). During checkout the receptionist was friendly enough, but only looked up at us once when handing over the receipt - not sure if too shy, but eye contact/ that "human touch" is super important for next time :)

Exceptional

I am from the USA, Oakland, California. Staff was friendly and attentive. People were also kind and responsive to conversation without being intrusive.

Nothing comes to mind. Let's see, the food was good! There was a menu of variaty. The pizza was exceptional!! The location for businesses or for tourist was on point. Can not think of anything else.

Great stay in Windhoek

We were upgraded to a balcony room. Very nice place to sit and watch the sunset. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Pool area was comfortable. Quiet hotel.

Its a great hotel, but its a little farther from the center of town than we prefer to be. Walking from that area of town is a little sketchy. Otherwise it was a quiet area and it was gated so we felt safe enough at the hotel.

Superb

We had a great room with a balcony - thanks for the upgrade! Could watch the sunset over the city. Rooms were large and comfortable. Clean. Staff was amazing.

Breakfast service was a little slow, but it got better after a few days. A little too far from the center of town, and have to walk through a somewhat sketchy part of town - giant holes in the sidewalk on way to Independence so watch your step! (Not the hotels fault)

Stay away

The location is nice, easy to reach by car. Also, there is parking inside the walls, so there is little worry about your vehicle during your stay. Also, we found one person working there very helpful and customer oriented, unfortunately did not check her name.

When we arrived things started off badly. The person on duty at reception (manager?) came out with a very unhappy look on her face. She guided our parking process with curt instructions. It felt very strange. The next morning we showed up for breakfast more than hour before the breakfast would end. They had not cleared tables and looked at us as if we were a nuisance showing up. Most serving dishes empty or almost empty. First we waited so they could refill but realised it is not happening. After a while we asked if they could be refilled and got asked "Which ones?". I responded with "The empty ones". After that they brought more tomato and dried meat, but not anything else. The next morning was not much better. I would not recommend staying here for anyone. And, based on what we saw, you should really take your money elsewhere if you are a member of the LTBTQI-community or care for their rights.
