No WiFi reach to room- 5cm insects pest problems - electricity outage all day - construction noise

Location

-Wifi not reaching room at all. You will be forced to spend money on 4g,because the hotel will not help you out in any way. -Non existent "hotel staff" . There is No reception staff! - You will be left on the street if you arrive from the afternoon onwards in weekend, or in evening on weekdays. You won't even know who to call!! After 5hours wait, a girl shows up with no keys. And she won't know the room you booked either (and will just throw you in a random one, not even a cleaned room) - several large cockroaches (5cm) walking around day and night in room, because hotel is not performing ANY regular anti pest insects control. After complaints, it took them a full week to send someone, and no compensation. Each night, security guards will chase large cockroaches out of the room, mostly because they pity the guests!! - construction work going on throughout the building resulting in extreme noise all day, several days in a row. No compensation or even apologies from hotel, after pictures as proof etc. - electricity will get shut down all day. No help from hotel after a written and multiple oral complaints.They will tell you to "just wait a few days until AFTER the weekend" (because they don't have access to repair staff!). Your food in fridge will rot away, and you ll be supposed to enter your bathroom in the dark without light working. The hotel doesn't care the least. You will just have to wait for 3 days at least, until someone finally shows up. IF they ever show up! - the hotel is run by chaotic Italians. Don't expect anglo saxon or nordic kind of "reasonable" excellence! Rather, Expect your patience/understanding to get abused to extremes, if you happen to face any problems, and you will.

No check-in desk!! No staff on site!! Big cockroaches in room. No WiFi in room. No aircon remote.

Location

Not hygienical. Cockroach of 4 centimeter in room during check-in procedure (in front of check-in assistant Mr Hugo). Hotel promised to send cleaning team, but nobody ever came to fix the problem. Cockroach also in bed during the night (and still there!). WiFi in room does not work (signal is less than 1bar, which means WiFi will never work). During check-in, this was proven. But again, this also was never fixed, even after promise from staff. Aircon remote was not in the room. It also never arrived, despite promises from staff. Towels (dirty) from last guest, were in the room. Fridge door, does not close. (and the Cockroach could go inside) There is NO reception desk at the hotel. At arrival around 7pm, had to ask the security guard to contact someone. This person did not know about the booking, and did not know which room to give, even after I showed booking confirmation proof. On the booking proof, there was a pin code (for door lock) , but no room number. So there were 140 rooms to try the pin code, which can take all night to test each door. After 3 hours waiting outside(and being eaten alive by lot of mosquitos), finally a hotel reception guy arrived to give a studio "still not used since before covid" (because he also did not know which is the correct studio number to give me).

Beautiful quiet place, great staff.

Really quiet and beautiful. Big apartment-like room. Very clean and excellent staff. Literally on the beach! :)

Local supermarkets are so expensive that using the kitchen wasn't worth it.

Would not recommend

The garden is beautiful and the location is great.

Overall, myself and my partner were utterly disappointed. The state of the rooms, interior and furniture is very bad. We got the impression that zero investment has been made or proper maintenance has been done in this residence for over the past 5 years or so. We were wondering if the owners perhaps lost interest in this place and are trying to still milk it a bit by renting out rooms before abandoning it or selling it off altogether. Upon arrival, me and my partner were guided to a room on the first floor. It was a dark, very unwelcoming space with run-down furniture and equipment. The pillows on the saggy sofa had red wine and small blood (!) stains - which we discovered when we flipped them over to install ourselves on the couch. When trying out the mattress in the bedroom, which was so saggy and uncomfortable that we realized we would never be able to get a good nights sleep, we decided to ask for another room. We told reception that the state of the room was really unacceptable (we showed them pictures of everything that was wrong with it) and they said that someone would look into it. However, the very next day we saw the girl from reception guiding another couple to this same room. We saw them immediately walk out, clear disappointment and disbelief on their faces, asking for another room like we did. We could not believe reception gave this same room that we complained about to another couple without a proper inspection and sorting out the issues first! We could move to another room which was slightly better but still far from what we would expect for the price we paid. A list of some things that were not up to scratch: - Bedsheets had holes in them - Run-down furniture - Matresses were old and saggy and only covered by one single bedsheet. No mattress cover or anything. Very unhygienic!

It was great

I loved the location, the view of the beach from my room, and the beautiful garden/plants all around the swimming pool. Bonus the staff is amazing and very helpful.

Paradise on the beach

I spent a week as a solo traveller. The apartment was perfect! Great to explore town, safe, clean, great location even a slight sea view. Everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating. Big thank you to Jannette and Leila for their lovely recommendations and great service.

I’ve already addressed this with reception, WiFi is only connectable at some parts of the apartments and can be a bit of an inconvenience. Luckily I only had to connect one day for work so found a way to connect next to the window facing the pool.

I liked the location and the space, well located

I never had internet, I spoke with the reaction what they said they are working on it, the truth is I couldn't work in 5 days, the towels were never changed, the cleaning left a lot to be desired

we stayed one night then asked to be moved to the BRILLIANT Porto Antigo. same owners. they were very kind and did move

very close to the sea and a lovely café/restaurant. clean rooms.

there is a building site next door and it’s deafening, all day long and is a terrible view.

Location was near the beach

I searched for and booked a room with a sea view. We didn't get one. When I asked for the sea view I booked they said they don't do sea views on booking.com. I showed them my booking with sea view on it. They weren't interested unless we paid them 30 euros a night Terrible, terrible mosquitos every night. Literally couldn't go on the balcony after dark or have a single window open. My girlfriend and I both got 30+ bites despite doing what we could to avoid them. There shouldn't be any mosquitoes, it doesn't rain.
