Didn’t receive the multiple viewing room I booked.

As to a room for the night, it served its purpose. The bed was too firm. The hotel is dated and in need of TLC. My view overlooked a garden area that was partially covered. On that cover were 11 chewing/dipping tobacco cans and over 100 cigarette buts. The seats in that outside are were torn and dated. The patio itself was neglected and littered with bird droppings and the glass was not cleaned.

I had to wait 2 hours in the lobby after my arrival to check in because they had no rooms ready, they had guests that were noisy which made it hard to sleep at night and the next morning the breakfast was not ready on time and they served food without the proper condiments to accommodate. I will not be staying at this hotel again and I do not recommend it!

First our room was not cleaned before hand. We got to the hotel around 9:15PM. The room they we were going to put us in was never cleaned from previous customers. Trash was everywhere the bed had dirty slept in sheets. The next room we didn’t get into until 11/11:30 PM. That room was being cleaned right before we got into the room. We were waiting in the hallway for them to finish cleaning the room and still the room was also dirty with trash everywhere the TV was not working and the shower was leaking. The door to the room had a huge gap at the bottom of the door and you could see into hallways. The staff said it was not a big deal. The manager was not around to speak with so talked to her over the phone and she also said it’s not a big deal that the hotel being dirty is normal. The manager said she would do a full refund and send an email to confirm that and we have not heard from her.

Hotel is in poor condition. No restaurant or bar as advertised. Street noise was terrible. Hard to get a good sleep. Fitness room closed. Outside patio cushions full of mold.

Shower rod broken. Stains in carpet. Housekeeping did not come during whole stay.

Bed was comfy & room was clean. Online advertised a coffee shop and a free breakfast. We went for breakfast there was no coffee, no syrup, very minimal options. Coffee shop wasn’t open and we could not find an employee to ask. That was a little frustrating. There were no cups in the room to fix coffee in the room. The water in the tub wouldn’t shut off and it was more than a little drip.

I come to Birmingham one week a month to allow my son to visit with family , and it is absolutely amazing . Everyone us very friendly and welcoming . . Everyone is so kind and sweet to my 3 year old.. love stayin here will be back next month lol .

I had to change rooms a couple of times almost three but the third room didn't have a refrigerator. The first room, no signal on television, the second room, the light over the sink was out. Breakfast mediocre. They were out of alot of condiments. Bagel but no cream cheese. Toast but no jelly. These are all little things that leave big impressions. I felt like the property's mission is to provide comfortable bedding and the required items. Everything is extra and not needed for your stay. The property could use new carpet and furnishings. The outlets were lose too. It's okay for one maybe two nights. The property is in a good location. Seems like a safe area, shopping and restaurants within a mile.

Price was good. Staff very friendly. Most of the parking overhead lights were out- felt unsafe. Indoors the fitness room was closed bc repairs were being made ( stayed 2 nights). Breakfast was a no go after I watched the worker pull the food out (bagels, sausage patties and cooked bacon) without gloves and place in warmers, griddle. In room, chair stained and water dripping but that was an easy fix. I may have come at an off time but the lack of outdoor lighting and the gloveless food prep were issues for me.

My stay has been nothing but outstanding.The staff has been friendly and helpful in every way.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! We had to change rooms several times. The first room smelt like dog urine. The second room had bugs all over the curtains and window (INSIDE THE ROOM) !!! The third room the heater/AC unit didn’t work and it was freezing. But worst of all there was a brown crusty spot on the sheet. It was not a stain! It was crusty!! They didn’t wash the sheets and bedding!!!!!!!!! I am horrified. I am 34 and I have stayed in many hotels and this is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The only good thing about this hotel is the front desk staff. They were very nice. I wish I could get my money back though. I didn’t sleep at all. I was busy trying to keep my kid warm and away from the filth. I have pictures of the bedding with the crusty brown spot and the bugs.

The stay was mostly good. Free and easy parking and a nice sized room. Good and friend;ly staff checkin and directions given for breakfast. The bed was comfortabe and clean. The heater was hard to get set in a comfy temp despite a maintenance worker coming to check it out early evening. (announced with a big bang on the door as I was trying to nap, but whatever) I had to turn it off during the night to sleep so it was a bit chill in the morning. The bathroom was clean with a good shower but there were no shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the shower containers. I opened the soap provided , it fell in the shower and shattered into 8 pieces. Guess is was a little old? Other than that, a good stay and worth another try down the road. I didn't eat breakfast as there was a Cracker Barrel 10 minutes away.

Clean but not very well appointed. One of the less impressive complimentary breakfasts I've seen. Wouldn't recommend for business or long stays, but it was fine for a couple nights for a family not spending much time in the room.

I stayed at a couple of different rooms around the Christmas holiday this year. The staff was excellent each time, everyone was friendly and took care of anything I brought to their attention. There are some wonderful people working there and they made my stay a treat. The property itself needs some work, some lights in the rooms don't work, some outlets don't work, one room was out of shampoo and conditioner. I'm sure they would have handled these issues if I had brought them up, I just didn't have the time during my stay. You absolutely cannot beat the people there, though.

Only 2 stars because although when walking in it seems nice the rooms are anything but…. The receptionist is very kind and so was the owner. But the room smelt like smoke and after I asked for another room she said that smokers and people with dogs stay in same rooms. I did come with my dog and it was ok. But the room smells and the elevator was constantly wet from people coming in and out the pool. It was pleasant for just the night and price was OK could’ve been a little less. There was a balcony in room which was nice. But the A/C was difficult to navigate. Overall, ok if you need somewhere just to sleep but request room that doesn’t smell if staying longer as all the bed sheets and everything smell.

So the night staff was pretty amazing nice and helpful. However upon check out the next morning I was told that my credit card was declined. What they meant was that hotels.com card that they used was declined and told me that I owed for the room. I tried to explain that I had paid for the room throughhotels.com however once I got home they had ran my card without my consent and charged me for the second time. It took a whole day for me to get it straightened out between the hotel and hotels.com and I'm still waiting on hotels.com to make it right since it was their mistake that caused all this to begin in the first place.

This hotel was exceptionally clean and the staff was very professional and accomodating. Breakfast was served hot and the area was neat and clean. There was a very pleasant and clean smell as soon as we entered the building. We were very pleased and definitely will return in the future.

Substandard! Especially for the specific area of Hoover/Birmingham it is in. I walked into the lobby and was immediately overwhelmed by sweet smelling deodorizer, usually a sign odors are being masked. For this reason I asked to see a room and was told its policy is NOT to let customers see the room first? I’m like what? Also that I could view it only after officially checking in and paying $25? Ok long story short the employee finally let me view it. It smelled terrible and she said that was their BEST room. No way I was going to sleep in that bed all night with those odors (remember all the deodorizer I smelled in the lobby?) I was told I had to call Expedia which I did immediately and they called the clerk quickly, I was willing to part ways with the first night payment but requested to be refunded the other two nights. The clerk told Expedia she couldn’t reach management so I had to wait on a follow response. We had to crash at a friends the first night then moved on to a reputable hotel the other two nights. Listen you get what you pay for. And I lost $246, even thought THEY aren’t providing a truly clean hotel. Bad odors come from SOMETHING unclean. After 3 days Expedia CS FINALLY heard from whomever operates the place and they declined to refund me anything. I expressed all this to say to everyone: DO NOT STAY AT AT THIS HOTEL! I do not recommend this chain period. Someone must be paying them for reviews!

I don't know why this hotel is listed with such high ratings. The pool was not heated, therefore not functional in December. There was no breakfast. The staff, though friendly and polite, couldn't even figure out how to take payment for the room. I will most likely not be using this chain of hotels again.
