first time to Alaska-
this hotel is older, but is very well kept. the family who owns it are natives. the lady we dealt with was super accommodating! all staff were friendly and ready to assist in our ever need.
the shuttle service was great, even at 4:00am!
breakfast was amazing everyday -
great variety, fresh and hot coffee throughout the day, which we really appreciated.
rooms are very clean, soak tub is so nice! beds are comfy-
I’d stay there every time we we’re fortunate enough to visit Anchorage again!

The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. It was so close to the mall, and the shuttle driver and front desk gals were so nice!

Friendly, efficient staff. Huge warm room with microwave. Walmart next door, with Alaska souvenirs and groceries, Dimond mall nearby for shopping and entertainment. Breakfast was plentiful with do-it-yourself waffles.
Lacking hooks to hang winter clothing. Would be great to have a shuttle to the city center. Staff could do with more support.

The big soaking tub in each room was a major plus!
It’s important to know that the shuttle is on-demand vs. a true 24-hour shuttle.

I go out of my way to drive actosss town to stay at this hotel multiple times a year for work.
It was about an hour before check in and I could here banging on the door, thought maybe they were pounding on neighbors door because I still had an hour before checkout. And then all of the sudden I hear the door open without my permission knowledge or approval. Thank god I latched it otherwise we would have all been in a very uniform table situation. When I opened the door with my belongings there were theee people standing their.
My question is, if there are phones in the room, why not use them to alert guests instead of mindlessly pounding on the door to make a scene?!

The room was spacious and very clean. I was impressed as well with how quiet it was. The best part for me, however, was the tub--simply amazing! It was HUGE, spotlessly clean and you can even watch TV from it.
The bed was a bit too firm for me. I did not have the most comfortable night's sleep, but that is a matter of personal preference.
