Great location with quaint and comfortable accommodations!

The location was beautiful and quaint. We really enjoyed the water, hippo, and elephant views. The staff was very kind and helpful.

Breakfast options and fresh coffee, instead of instant coffee. Honestly, just having fresh drip coffee would have been amazing. There is nothing better than this first thing in the morning to start your day. The instant stuff just isn't the same. Unfortunately we had to order it from the bar.

Excellent Resort and Staff

The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly! Our chalet was clean and lovely. The bed was so comfortable and the shower was warm and had great pressure.

The only thing we would have changed was that we had pretty much no wifi in our chalet. We would have liked to have been able to use wifi whilst in the chalet.

Exceptional

The location is exceptional with an amazing opportunity to see wildlife close by. Close by to any attractions, but still hidden in nature. The staff is very friendly and helpful in any matters. The location of the restaurant is priceless, watching hippos and elephants during breakfast, and the food is delicious for a great price.

Do not recommend!

Beautiful lodges and decent breakfast

When we arrived at the lodge, they charged us more than stated on Booking.com. They said the difference was due to exchange rates but we looked it up and they used incorrect rates. We ended up paying more the expected and there was nothing we could do! Then we were taken to our chalet which was fine, except for the building works going on right in front of us (lots of noise and duct), about 3 meters from our terrace. They obviously just hoped that we would say nothing and take it...which we didn't! We got another room after some discussion. I do not recommend this place!

Very good

Luxury Tent was excellent, staff were friendly and helpful. Perfect location for us to move around to borders etc.

Booking done wrongly as we are a family of 4 but the luxury tent is actually for 2. It however had ample space and we were reasonably comfortable. Mistake made on our part for not confirming on last email wrt our needs... Alm worked out well.however.

Pleasant

People very friendly, close to the Vic Falls, Pool and Bar area is very nice.

Our Chalets were situated next the Workshop. Food and Beverage very limited. Breakfast also poor for the amount we paid. River cruise was offered to us, but price went up a few times, so we skiped this expensive expierience.

Good location but bad service

Location was great and quiet, by the river.

The service is bad. Staff keep saying different prices for the activities and taxi services, depending on whom you talk to. The food is not good, breakfast is really bad, not even a proper coffee is served - i was charged extra to get a normal coffee. I also did not receive my invoice and when I asked the staff to send it to me by email, they did not respond.

the property is lovely. idyllic location. we couldn’t get enough of seeing the elephants as we had breakfast.

wildlife and comfort close to the Falls

Food was good and staff attentive. Chile was able to find us a last minute helicopter flight to see the Falls. The best thing about Maramba, undoubtedly, is it’s location. From the terrace and from the pool you can watch hippos, elephants, crocs and a plethora of birds!

It would have been nice to have a free shuttle from the airport to the lodge, but it’s easy to find taxis for a reasonable fare.

Memorable time at Maramba River Lodge

Our first meal was dinner and it was absolutely wonderful! Tasty! Next meals were great also. Having breakfast outside, overlooking the river and the beautiful natural surroundings added to the experience.

Weak internet signal and spotty service at the chalet was a let down. WiFi was better around the dining area.

I loved the rooms. Had exactly what you need. The beds were super super comfortable. I thought I had jumped onto a cloud when I went to bed. Th setting is really lovely. The pool area is great. Shower amazing amazing amazing!

The dining area was very quite so one does not get a good feel for what you probably really offer. The food was average to good. A little improvement will go a long way. Staff are attentive which is great.

Riverside perfection, we can't wait to come again!

After 2 weeks travelling between Zambia, Botswana and Zimbabwe, this was our favourite two nights. The location couldn't be better: on the Maramba River we were joined by elephants morning, noon and night. The restaurant served great food, a wide variety of drinks (at the poolside, no less) and a musician on Saturday evening. The place is run excellently. The staff are happy and helpful, and were exceptionally kind to us. The accommodation is really comfortable and you feel thoroughly looked after. The pool area and deck (and restaurant) are well kept and everything was just so SO great. Highly recommend! Well done to Maramba and team, 5 stars.

Very poor

Full of mosquitos without any treatment. The room was not clean and was infested by mosquitos. We spent one hour to kill them after entering the room. The bathroom was not clean at all.
