The breakfast pastries were great & restaurant staff were very helpful.
We stayed at the hotel on the way to Sao Tome & Principe in April and had a very pleasant experience. On the way back via Luanda we stayed at the hotel again, however had the worst experience. The airport shuttle ($60 extra fee) did not pick us up as arranged and only came 1.5 hours later. After arriving at reception, we were told we owed money for our reservation, however it had been paid in full prior to arrival. We were put in a room that smelt of cigarettes, didn't have a working bathroom basin, nor did it have a room safe as specified on the Booking.com website. After complaining they upgraded us to a suite, however this was right below the rooftop bar, which played load base music all night which was very present in the room. We were too tired to complain again. The manager confirmed we would be refunded for the airport shuttle, however has not replied to any mails nor have we been refunded. I would seriously recommend not staying in this hotel.

Wi fi was not great

The staff just seem untrained, they will not go out of their way to help you out, for example I did not have an electrical socket adapter, asked the receptionist and they just said "sorry we dont have those at the hotel". One bumped into me at breakfast and just went on about his business.

Loved the room size; loads of amenities, spacious and a great shower.
The breakfast was very average; no bacon...its Angola, why no bacon?! The rooftop terrace's food was expensive and pretty ordinary.

I think efforts should be made to diversify fruits at breakfast. As the hotel is in Angola, some typical dishes from Angola could be introduced into the menu.

the cleanness was amazing I weren’t expecting such a lovely place in Angola it felt better then some top London hotels I’ve been to would 100 recommended this place and I will only be staying here if I come back. Staff were amazing especially Augestio he helped us beyond he’s job he gave us places that he recommended and booked the taxis for us my partner and I felt really safe with the hotel not to mention the rooftop bar is so nice and peaceful with the swimming pool I loved every bit and only stayed for 2 days and wanted to extend it but couldn’t.
nothing was not to like.

They hotel staff are very courteous and the pay attention to the customers needs which is very good. The room is usually very clean and they make up the room on time.
The hotel breakfast is more of local dishes and not really continental. The issue of not speaking English at all does not help because you get frustrated trying to communicate with the waiters and waitresses. This does not make the breakfast, lunch or dinner at the hotel enjoyable at all.
My believe is that they don't care about the communication in English at all in Luanda from my experience and it does not bother them if you understand Portuguese language or not because they just continue speaking Portuguese language to you regardless until you say "please speak English a little".

Extremely friendly, helpful staff, immaculately clean and comfortable rooms, quiet location, rooftop bar and restaurant with great views of the city - this will be my first choice of hotel for future trips to Luanda!
