Located in Wellington, this charming cottage for $117 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Kelburn is one of Wellingtons inner city suburbs. Located above the CBD and a stones throw from the Harbour and Te Papa. We are handy to bus transport and the cable car. The Botanical gardens are on our doorstep and for the keen walker it is approx 35 mins walk to Westpac Stadium. The main restaurant area of Te Aro and the entertainment precinct in Courtenay Place are both approx 20 mins walk. The Wellington International airport is some 15 min drive depending on the time of day and the Airport flyer (bus transport to and from the airport) stops along from the bottom of the cable car. The Interislander Ferry terminal is approximately 10 mins drive away and the other ferry, Bluebridge some 7 mins drive. Kelburn Village offers cafes, boutique shopping and a range of service retailers ie hairdresser, pharmacy and general store. The cottage is a one room, self contained building with separate ensuite, and a short walk down from the road. It is bright and warm and compact. A perfect place for a weekend break or a longer stay in Wellington. Special conditions: The cottage is a very short walk down ( steps and path) so is not suitable for wheelchair access. Linen is included as is tea plunger coffee and milk.

We did not hire a car for Wellington and with this conveniently located property, we made use of walking, buses and the magnificent cable car. With Kelburn village around the corner we were able to sightsee plus act as if we were locals; bakery, restaurants, cafe etc. Will definitely stay again.

For me it was exactly the right place and size I needed and was situated just a few steps from the Botanical gardens and tram link down to the main shops. Only downside is there is no parking as such and some steepish steps down to the property. So not for people who struggle with walking or are disabled.

This is a cute little cottage in a perfect location in Wellington. Just a short walking distance to the Cable Car and The Botanical Gardens. The view is amazing and the grounds are beautiful. We enjoyed our stay so much!

Cottage was perfect for 2 people. Loved the location close to cable car and cafe. Private parking spot was a plus. Well maintained and very clean. Had everything we needed for out short stay. Brenda the owner was easy to communicate with.

Once we got the communication working the welcome couldn't have been warmer. The little cottage was just great, and a lot of thought had gone into making it so. All in all lovely, and Brenda made time for us and was so helpful.

The cottage sits above the city, with a spectacular view. The owners allowed us to use their deck area and enjoy a glass of wine. It is a nice walk to the city and very close to the cable car, if needed.

The cottage is situated in the corner of the garden of a lovely Victiorian House, just a few steps away from the Cable Car and Botanical Garden. It is well equipped an very cosy. The hosts are very gentle, kind, helpful and very flexible people. We give them a five out of five rating.

Brenda's cottage was perfect for the couple of nights we stayed in Wellington. Quick access to town (walking distance) and great to have the cable car to bring you up again after a day exploring. Lovely and tidy place and super friendly and acoomodating hosts. Would recommend!

We loved our stay in this beautifully presented cottage separate from owners home in lovely garden with everything we needed. Only minutes to our daughters new flat, the cute village of Kelburn for meals, and down to the city. Out hosts were very friendly and welcoming and helpful with our parking requirements. Will definitely stay again when we visit our family and explore the city further. Very close walking distance to Cable Car but didnt have time to use this trip. Thank you so much - Karen and Tony

Brenda’s place worked out just right for our two night stay in Wellington. Very walkable to downtown as well as the shuttle stop for Zealandia, the botanical garden, and the cable car. There was also a grocery store and some takeaway options within easy walking distance. We were very comfortable and happy we chose this place. Brenda was an especially accommodating and welcoming host!

Few minutes walk to the Cable Car and the glorious Botanical Gardens. So you can walk down the City to Sea Walkway into town and ride back up! Brenda and Peter are lovely welcoming hosts.

Luxury cottage with everything you need in the garden of the host. It is a steep walk down to Wellington Central but the cable car is an easy ride up and the Uber is a very reasonable price. Brenda our host very easy to contact and responded quickly to our messages, which was usually for some ice for our GnT. The cottage itself was spotless and all facilities were on hand with an informative welcome book and knowledge of the local area. We would definitely recommend this accommodation.

The hills in Wellington resemble those in American cities like San Francisco or Sausalito. A location that looks good on a map can involve some pretty serious climbs when walking. This casita has a great location near the cable car that serves the Wellington CBD. A great base from which to explore the city. The casita itself is perfect for two. Well equipped for either a short or long stay. Clean and well maintained with friendly hosts. Couldn't have asked for more expect possible more time for a longer stay. Perhaps next vacation.

Set on the side of the hill in Kelburn, the property is only a couple minutes' walk away from the cable car station. It is super clean. The host Brenda is very helpful, and we felt very welcome. We had a lovely stay.

As an artist, writer, poet, I couldn't have found a better property or spot to stay in on my visit to Central Wellington. Warm, cosy, private and contained. I delighted in the tuis in the trees in the skylight. The electric blanket on when I arrived... Felt like a sweet colonial little 'cottage' - with all amenities. I could have stayed a long time. Just wow! Gorgeous wee spot so close to the University. Woke up hearing and seeing the birds in the trees above through the sky light! Super clean and recently renovated. The photos don’t do this place justice! Will definitely be back!
