Secluded and private oasis whilst still being so close to the Medina.
A little dated

The location is amazing, and the staff is at your total disposal. Madhi is very kind and discreet, we will come back for sure! Discovering Marrakech with his insights has been an amazing experience .

This was sweet and blissful stay!
The Riad is located down a quiet side street at the mouth of the Medina, near the Jewish quarter and nestled between the Bahia and Badi palaces, which made the location feel a wonderful secret yet central. It also sits at the start to streets that lead up to the Medina, so you are near to everything you need to visit and explore.
The interior is beautiful; like all Riads, the magic is on the inside, behind old wooden doors that you wouldn't think housed such an oasis. Inside here were cool white pillars, a plunge pool, an open atrium, and in the centre an old palm tree as tall as the building, proving this Riad's authenticity (whilst providing homes to the birds that great you with a dawn chorus on sunrise). They have a superb terrace from which you can see the Atlas Mountains and across the city. The room was comfortable and I slept well.
The staff, Zaq and Mahdi, were incredibly welcoming and helpful. I initially had trouble finding the street, yet Mahdi kindly ventured out to collect me. They later helped with orienteering, pointing out where to go on the map, explaining the history of the area, best places to eat, so you wouldn't need a guide book. They also took care of my luggage so I could explore the city before a late flight, post check-out.
I only stayed for one night, and it was hard to leave.. The memory of watching the sun rise from their perfect terrace is one of the best memories from my trip to Marrakesh. I will definitely return, to the city and to this Riad.
Worth downloading maps.me (which works without wifi / data but uses your location - lesson learned) to help find the Riad as it's not a street a taxi can pull up in front of, so the last few metres need to be on foot.

The property was beautiful. It was in a beautiful area in the middle of the Medina
There is nothing I didn’t like.

We had a lovely stay at Dar Crystal. The Riad is beautiful, the location is great (walking distance to main attractions) but above all the staf went above and beyond to help us find our way and ensure we had a good stay. We would 100% recommend this Riad and happily stay again when we return.
Our bed was a bit hard for our taste but nice and big so it didn’t bother us too much.

We stayed at Dar Crystal for 3 nights for a long weekend trip to Marrakesh for the first time. The riad was beautiful and nicely tucked away from the chaos of the Medina, but still a close walk to everything. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, especially Zachariah and Mahdi who were very kind to us and made our stay extra special. All our requests were met and we were extremely satisfied with the customer service and amenities. Would definitely recommend staying here for a short trip to Marrakesh!

The best experience ever!
The riad was so beautiful and clean!
The staff was very welcoming and nice, helping us with all of ours needs.
The location is also great, based in the middle of the medina, allowing us to move around easily.
The standard breakfast could use more variety between sweet and salty but they were kind enough to make us eggs everyday after we requested.
Zack and the rest of the staff makes you feel welcome.
Thanks for the amazing experience, see you soon guys

Wow, what a Service! If a host can be awarded, Zak deserves the golden medal! He was extremely caring to each and everyone, always a smile on his face and with him everything is possible! He is the heart of this place! I could go on and on about his service tbh ...
About the place now, perfect location, right next to Bahia Palace and out of the craziness! It felt so good to go back into the Riad after hours and hours of walking in Marrakech where it can be quite overwhelming. The place was always spotless amd welcoming.
The only down side here for us would be the pool... it would have been nice to have it a bit warmer (maybe something to consider?), 15degres was way too cold for us. Such a shame to not be able to enjoy it fully!
Other than that it was perfect!

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for everything!

I liked everything about this place. The staff were so friendly and hospitable. They truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Zac would do anything to help his guests and is a fountain of knowledge when it comes Marrakech. Case in point on the first night, after arriving late, I accidentally left one of my bags in the taxi, Zac and I jumped on his moped and he rode across town to track down the taxi and recover my bag, I tried to pay him for his time and fuel but he refused any money claiming that I am his guest and it was the least he could do, this was not an isolated incident, unfortunately my girlfriend got very ill whilst on our trip. Zac immediately helped us find a suitable hospital and on his day off he volunteered his time to help us further, he came back to the riad and went out to find a pharmacy to collect her prescription (this was a Sunday so lots of pharmacies were closed). He spent his afternoon driving across town to find an open pharmacy and collect the prescription. I cannot thank him enough for all his help.
Unsurprisingly the other staff in the riad are attentive and helpful, Annis keeps vigil over the front door and will answer day or night, he also helps prepare all of the breakfasts which are delicious. Jameela is a fantastic cook and she and her cleaning team keep the rooms absolutely spotless.
The riad itself is beautiful and is an oasis of calm in all of the craziness of Marrakech itself. However manic things were outside of the riad it was always a great pleasure to return to our Riad after a long day. It would be calm and cool and welcoming. It always felt safe and secure. The rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious. The WiFi is high speed and available throughout the Riad. Honestly I could speak positively about Dar Crystal for some time, there are several more stories I could recount about Zac and his team.
The location is slightly difficult to find when you first arrive. We didn't book a taxi in advance. My advice for when you arrive is to speak with Zac in advance and let him organise an airport pickup. In future once you have learnt the location you can get a taxi to Bahia palace and walk to the riad.
Additionally it is worth noting that the WiFi does not reach the roof terrace. It only reaches the rooms on the ground floor and the first floor.

The customer service was really great. Zakaria and Anas have helped me and my cousin throughout our stay in Marrakesh. They've always treated us like family and recommended good food places and information on touristic places. The terrace had a great view of the Atlas mountains and had beautiful decorations. The riad was always quiet and calm. The Spa was great too.

Its a beautiful riad with a nice garden and a great rooftop. The rooms are clean and have everything you need. The hosts are very kind and helpful and always around, they always have great mint tea ready and have helped us with recommendations and things like airport transfer. Its also a little more outside of the Medina so the area doesn't feel overwhelming or you don't have to worry about getting bothered on your way at night.
The mattresses were a little hard for my taste, but it didn't ruin the experience. The pool looks lovely but it almost feels more like its there for decoration, I just felt a bit weird taking a dip while the hosts sit around in the garden all day.

Liked the chill atmosphere and beautiful interior there. Personel and guy named Bryan were really nice, and hospitable. Thank you!
I think breakfast could be more varied. But it was nice.
Also, if you arrive at night make sure you get the phone number of the person that will let you in. Cuz even tough we told that we are arriving at night, we had to wait about half a hour to get in because everyone was sleeping. Riad made it up for us after that, but that wasnt pleaseant at 2 am at night. :) anyways it was a good stay.

This is a lovely small read, with large rooms. We had a room on the top floor so we were delighted that it had a/c. The breakfast was simple and delicious. The bathroom was especially beautiful and the staff were excellent
We liked everything

The riad is a nice place, room was big and comfortable. Breakfast is good but is not continental as described: it misses salty food that is usually present in all riads we have been, that are even cheaper.
The riad is very beautiful and coherent with the price asked but we do not recommend this place: we went into a really unpleasant surprise at the end of our stay. We asked the host in advance a night more to stay after a tour in the desert that we booked with them. He gave us the availability of the room asking us if we could move to another room next to the prior one. We answered saying no problem, a room more little for just one night is good as well. When we came back for the last night we discovered that the room was not in the same riad but in another one next to Dar Crystal. The quality wasn't the same, the new riad for which we didn't book was in decline and the host tried to solve the problem by speaking about a misunderstanding. It wasn't at all a misunderstanding, but just the fact that the riad received another booking by other guests, more than us, and preferred to give our room to them, in order to earn more money, ours and theirs. It was really a pity because the place is nice, but very badly managed. We felt cheated and this is unacceptable by a riad that costs as in Europe.

It's such a beautiful place and looks exactly like in the pictures. It's a calm and cool oasis that lets you unwind from all the buzzing life and hot weather outside. The area is the Jewish area and it's very nice to also explore this part of the city. Also, you're at the Djemaa el Fna within 15min by foot through the markets which is a great walk.
GREAT host (Zakaria)!! He was such a great help with all the questions and pleases we had. He's a great company and we had so much fun with him and learned a lot about Marroco from him.
I loved the delicious breakfast which you could choose where you want to eat it from all the little sitting spots within the Riad. My recommendation is the beautiful rooftop terrace. But not only for breakfast, watching sunsets, drinking tea at night, or doing sunrise yoga there is highly recommended as well.
Also, we did the cooking course they offered and it was great. Can only recommend this as well.

When you enter the Dar Crystal you come into a calm and relaxed space where you feel safe from the bustling world outside. The Riad has a fantastic location and a great terrace, where you overlook the whole city roofs. Zakaria and Hamza welcomed us warmly and took care of every single need.
The standard rooms are on the ground level and the more you pay, the upper you get (recommended for less noise)
And the breakfast is just yummy!
The noise the other guests were making, especially the children playing in the yard inside at late and early hours. The noise problem might be normal in Riads in general.

The guys there are very friendly and helpful, especially Zakharia tried to support wherever possible. The Riad is clean and calm and you can enjoy breakfast (which changes a bit from day to day) on a wonderful terrasse with lots of plants and birds. As we celebrated our wedding anniversary there, we got a free upgrade of the room.
The riad is not really visible from outside, there are no signs at all. The wifi didn't really work inside the rooms.
