This was our second time staying at this property. It's the perfect fit and very functional for our family. Things we especially enjoy during our stay: sectional in living space means plenty of room for whole family, sleep number beds and pillows are cozy, multiple tables (especially the newer bigger coffee table) for eating, crafting, puzzling, and games. We especially love being able to walk to the beach! Would love to come back again!

We've been to GM many times since the 70's and have stayed in several rentals. Big Red was great--perfect location in town, great kitchen, sleep # beds, clean, spacious for 5 adults, Roku tv, easy and prompt communication with the owners. Highly recommended, and we would stay again.

Perfect location for our annual Snowmobile trip to Grand Marais. Snowmobile rentals right next door. Love the house. Plenty of room for the 6 of us, with everything we needed! Richard and Jennifer are great people. Always available and willing to help with anything we need. We will be back!

The pictures don't do this home justice. This home has allot of character and was spacious, yet cozy. Owners did a nice job of renovating a 100+ year old place. Very clean home and easy to work with people. We are already planning to come again!

We had a great time in Grand Marais. We were able to walk to the local restaurant and bar and shops. Even though the snow wasn't the best we still had a great time.

The owners were very kind, thorough and accommodating. We came in early and everything was ready to go. The house was very large and had everything we needed. Very impressed to have all sleep number beds. The kitchen was well stocked and with everything we needed. We have nothing remotely negative to say, very happy with our stay.

Beautiful property in the heart of Grand Marais. Beautiful renovated farm house. Owners were responsive. Lovely kitchen and family room, and compared to most options in the area, it was a luxury retreat!! Only caveats -- the place smelled slightly of smoke (noncompliant previous occupant maybe =() and the wifi is a little buggy because of different zones. Overall we had a very nice experience though! Big Red is a wonderful, clean property right downtown Grand Marais. It has everything you will need and is only one block from all of the shops and restaurants. We will be back!

We chose this property because it was close to pictured rocks. As we wanted to hike the park. We also rented UTVs for a day which was conveniently located next door. Wasn’t sure what to expect in the town, but it’s a great little harbor town with maybe a dozen shops, restaurants and stores. It was super relaxed and we walked everywhere in town. The property is about 2-3 miles from the top end of the pictures rocks national lake shore. The house itself was the perfect size for our family. There were 9 of us total. The photos posted online don’t quite do the place justice. We were pleasantly surprised that the place looked nicer in person. The beds were comfortable and the hosts were friendly. We’d like to come back in the winter sometime and check out the snowmobiling.

"Big Red" is everything that you could ask for in a Grand Marais rental. The overall house is very clean with updated decor and furniture (and sleep number mattresses!). Anything that you might need to cook a meal is in the kitchen including a crockpot and a whole rack of herbs/spices, coffee/tea and nice utensils. All of the bedding is fresh and new. No weird smells or tearing. Plenty of towels, toilet paper, and paper towels. The wifi works great throughout the whole house. The drive way is huge which was great because we had two cars and a snowmobile trailer. The best part is that you are walking distance to the restaurants/bars! The owners have the shop next door so stop in to say "Hi" and check out their merchandise or rent a snowmobile!

Fantastic property. Outdoors, living area, kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms are all well kept. You can't also can't beat this prime location in the heart of Grand Marais.

We were so pleased to have all the space for family dinners and hanging out. The beds are amazing and the best night sleep you will have! A short walk to the bay and downtown. Make sure to rent UTVs from Powersports right next door, a fun ride on the trails! We will definitely be back, thank you for opening your home to others!

This was our first experience renting a house in Grand Marais. Usually we camp when we come up (every other year) We had 3 kids under 2 and the property was perfect. Plenty of space for fitting pack n plays in the twin bedroom and large closet. Beautiful kitchen! Lots of storage for a weeks worth of food for the whole family. Comfy couch perfect for relaxing on rainy days. Next door to atv rentals that were lots of fun! Large yard for yard games and space for everyone at the campfire. Definitely looking to rent from you again!

Would highly recommend staying at Big Red! Very clean house with plenty of room. The kitchen with large dining room table was wonderful. The location right in town was nice - the kids could go get candy and ice cream without having to venture far at all. The big yard was a huge bonus - and the bags boards were a big hit! We had a lovely stay - Thank-you!!

Staying at Big Red was a great stay! Everything was exactly as advertised. Staying in Grand Marais was a great location. We were only a block from restaurants, market, ice cream shoppe, and coffee shop. Couldn't have asked for a better stay for our Pictured Rocks vacation.
