Lower Sycamore cottage had a good layout and was well presented which had a cosy feel to it. . Lovely high spec modern new bathroom with walk in shower ( needs the photographs updating ) with compact kitchen with everything you needed including cleaning products, cloths and dish washer tablets.. Bed was very comfy and excellent quality bed linen. Full sized double oak wardrobe, tall oak chest of drawers and two good sized oak bedside cabinets for storage.Comfortable sofa and lovely electric log burner.

It was self catering but we've done this before and had a little welcome pack with a few coffee sachets and T bags - nothing at Sycamore

We'd given our arrival time in advance but the cottage was very cold when we arrived - had to work out heating after a 2.5 hour journey, then look for a Tesco just to be able to have a cup of tea

Excellent central location, right near the bus station. Easy access to shops, restaurants, pubs and walks.

The front door needed some love and a good clean. The little yard needed a tidy and some weeding!

The location was fantastic and the carpark was very close.

Some of the kitchen items were dirty, and there were no salt or pepper... just empty grinders

Location was perfect and the flat was beautifully clean.

Garden wasn't a garden, more like a courtyard so not really suitable for the dog. The previous occupants had accidentally taken the parking permit so we had to pay for parking all week. We are being refunded but it was just inconvenient when a permit was promised.

The location was awesome, my daughter works in the village and we were visiting, it was our first time in the lake District and we will definitely be going there again.

Great location, clean and had everything we needed and pet friendly too
