About this house rental
Our two story oceanfront townhouse provides immediate access to Delaware's premiere family beach and private shore community. Walk directly out of our home onto the pristine, inviting beach! With only 36 homes, the beach always has room to spread out and relax. Swim, paddle board, ride your bike or sun bathe...memories from "Fundadore" will linger for a life time. Our home in the Seastrand Community has central air, heat, ceiling fans, an outside shower, beach chairs, umbrellas, various beach toys, and two parking spaces. It sleeps six and has two full bathrooms as well as a half bathroom. The boardwalk leading to the charming town of Rehoboth is only a three block walk by street or beach. The community is private and does not allow beach access to the public. Rehoboth is one of the most sought after beach communities to rent a home on the Delaware shore. Walking is a treat but the Jolly Trolly will take you and your family and friends into town to avoid peak parking times. The nearby Tanger outlets provide a wide variety a stores and deals. Fifers Farm market is also walking distance from our oceanfront home. There is an old fashioned boardwalk in town with many restaurants and shops. Our children grew up going to "Funland" where they loved the games and rides - right on the beach. Weekend evening concerts in the Gazebo are best followed up by a big ice cream cone on the walk . You cannot beat the location: relatively close to the shops and restaurants in Rehoboth but still quiet and peaceful on the beach. My husband, infant son, and I had tons of space to relax. The decor and furnishings are overall quite dated but everything is in good condition. The host was always quick to answer questions.

Our family enjoyed a wonderful week at the beach here. The location was perfect, we could enjoy the salt air, the ocean breeze and the sound of the waves while we ate breakfast in the sun room, lounged on the deck in the evening and all night with the windows open.
The beach is so close you barely need to pack a cooler and the property had more than enough room for our family of four to be comfortable. Rehoboth & Dewey are both a brief walk, trolley ride or quick drive away.
It was a great place to enjoy a week away!

Our family had a great vacation at Janet’s home. The location right on a private beach was wonderful and we loved the gorgeous view from the second level. The house was nice and when there was a small issue, Janet immediately arranged to have it fixed, which we appreciated. We hope to return for another visit!

You can’t beat the location of this property. We had a front row seat watching the rough ocean waves on two of the days and two other days of beautiful sunshine. It’s always a great spot and I’m sure we will try to stay there again.

We had the best time. It was our first vacation since having our baby, and it was perfect. The home was beautiful, and had everything we needed to spend time at the beach - chairs, toys, etc. It was also a quick walk or drive away from a ton of amazing restaurants and the boardwalk, and we loved the outdoor shower and gorgeous views. The back deck was so nice to relax outside at night too. We will definitely be back. Thank you!!!!

Couldn’t be happier with our vacation at “Fundadore!” It’s a beautiful home (VERY clean) with all the amenities you could want. The private beach right behind the house is completely hidden behind the dunes and very quiet; from there you’re just a few steps from the ocean. The location is perfect: easy waking to downtown Rehoboth and Dewey but far enough from both to be quiet and feel secluded. Janet is a wonderful host and very responsive. Just an absolute A+ all around and we hope to be back next year!

A slight hiccup upon check-in was quickly resolved. This is a true beach bungalow, well-worn but loved, steps from the ocean. Dewey Beach is a dog loving beach town so if you don’t love dogs this place is not for you (we love dogs). Ideal location for shopping and plenty of markets nearby for quality meat and seafood. The kitchen is well equipped w/ cook ware & utensils but bring your basics, food wrap, oil, vinegar, spices, coffee etc. Lots of dining out options nearby too. Master bedroom is wonderful, sleep w/ the sliding doors open and sleep to the sounds of the surf, lg. walk-in closet and TV are a plus, En-suite bath, great lighting and plenty of space for toiletries. We used the shower in 2nd bathroom which had a much better shower head. For 2 people we had more than ample room. Janet is a great host!

This could possibly be one of the best locations in Rehoboth. The beach is not crowded and you can easily walk into both Dewey and Rehoboth thus avoiding the hassle of trying to find parking. Sunrise from the back deck in the morning. Plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas. All in all a great find.

This was a great property - very clean when we arrived, and a ton of amenities for being right on the beach (chairs, umbrellas, outdoor shower, etc). The location can't be beat - you are at the end of Dewey Beach and the beach is very uncrowded, and you literally just have to walk out the back door, over the dune and you're on the beach. Everything was great.

Great Location
The location of this townhouse is awesome. Short walk to a very quiet beach. Great airflow for ocean breezes and sounds. The first floor deck is great, but you can not see the ocean because of the dunes. The townhouse layout is comfortable and the first floor has been updated. Had to bring bed linens and bath towels so be aware of bed sizes. Pillows, blankets and kitchen linens are provided. Some bed pillows were stained, and bed skirts were torn, but the property itself was clean.

I booked Janets house for a weekend away with my friends from childhood. We stayed up talking late into the night while listening to the ocean waves. It was the perfect setting for our little reunion. Janet was responsive and helpful. The trundle bed has two twin bed mattresses. The description says “double”, but that just references that there are literally 2 beds. :)

Long Weekend Getaway
My husband and I had a very nice long weekend staying at this property. It was very clean and had everything we needed.

Great home for a weekend getaway
Wonderful condo that sits right on the beach. Coffee/wine on the deck listening to the waves. Just blocks to Rehobeth for boardwalk and shopping. Great place to stay for our ladies shopping weekend.

Another great family vacation
Once again we had a wonderful stay at this cute seaside house. With two toddlers, it's so helpful to have the beach just a few steps away, as well as the sand right outside the back porch for those times kids need to play but you can't make it all the way to the ocean. The screened in porch is perfect for meals, and the kitchen has everything you need. Janet is also very responsive to make sure you have a smooth stay. We plan to come back again and again.

My daughters and I had a great time here. The property is clean and comfortable. You could not ask for a better location on the beach. It is also very close to downtown Rehoboth where there is great shopping and restaurants. This was our third vacation here.
