If you want the short story the house is nice and well maintained but had issues with sewer smell in the master bathroom and no communication from the homeowners to address the problems. Description of the extra loft needs updated. If you want the full review read below. Issue #1: When we booked the house we saw online that we could book the home or pay an extra $100 per night to add the loft for an extra bedroom. The description of the loft area needs to be updated to clearly state that it is not part of the main house. We did not catch in the pictures that the loft is completely separated from the main home and sits above the garage next to the house. Because we had younger children my wife and I were not comfortable having them sleep separate from us. The loft during our stay was not used and was a waste of $100 per day. Issue #2: Sewer gas smell in the master bathroom. The master bathroom had a sewer gas smell that originated when we used the shower. Throughout our stay the gas smell became worse and eventually got to the point that we had to close the door to the bathroom and not use it at all by day three to try to keep the smell from affecting the master bedroom and kitchen (there are two doors to this bathroom, one to the master bedroom and one to the kitchen). This left our family of 5 with only 1 bathroom for the stay. Issue #3: The outside property when we arrived was neglected. The grass was 24-30" tall and looked like it had not been mowed in over a month. So much so that you could barely see the path leading to the deck. Someone came on day 3 to mow but only did a small amount of the property. Issue #4 and my biggest complaint: We received no response from the property owner during our stay or after the trip was over in regards to the sewer smell in the bathroom or the poor description for the loft that we were charged for and never used. The house is nice with a good location but the smell and no reply from the property owner makes it impossible for me to recommend to others.
