The Nest is a newly renovated apartment with attention to detail showing exposed beams, vaulted ceiling, and hardwood throughout. This quiet rental has a full granite kitchen with peninsula, living area with sectional couch comfortable enough to sleep an additional guest, full bath with tub and a washer and dryer. The newly remodeled apartment located in downtown Freeport sleeps 4 comfortably. The bedroom has a queen bed and twin with trundle. The large sectional couch is perfect for relaxing and there are doors to separate the spaces. The Nest is perfect for a small family, romantic getaway, or shopping weekend with friends. There is a large HDTV w/cable in the living area as well as in the bedroom, as well as wifi, efficient heat and AC for your comfort. All linens are included. The kitchen has a peninsula with seating, refrigerator with freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, blender, linens, pots, pans and dishware. Pack n Play with linens is available as well. Let us know if we can set that up for you! Nearby Bow Street Market has "Bow To Go" as well if you wish to have your groceries awaiting you at Bow Street Market. We live in town so please let us help make your stay enjoyable with local tips, directions, information on events, hiking and biking routes or area must see attractions.

We had a wonderful two nights at The Nest. It is a perfect size and in the perfect location for walking to everything in Freeport. It is tucked away on a quiet side street with plenty of parking. Easy check-in and most importantly, the place is super clean, comfortable, and really well appointed. Erica and Doug have done a fantastic job of creating a beautiful space for visitors and were super responsive to our questions. We had a nice conversation with Doug on our way out. Really nice guy! We would definitely return and probably wouldn't bother looking for any other place because this was so perfect.

Our family stayed at The Nest for 2 nights. It was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. We had plenty of towels, sheets and blankets. The kitchen had everything we needed for some simple cooking. Erica responded nearly immediately to any questions we had and the check out procedures were minimal and easy. A great location that is walkable to the entire downtown area. Thank you for a great stay!

It was a very nice place to stay. We stayed 3 nights… had only booked for 2 nights but a change in plans. The host was more than willing to accommodate our needs. All the outside with the Fall plants and planters were especially inviting! Quite amazing. Would highly recommend. Thank you Erica and Doug!!!

If I could give 10 stars, I would! Erica was the best host we have ever had. She responded immediately to my messages and went above and beyond even offering to come pick us up at the airport after our flight was delayed 3 hrs, and the rental car wait was >2 hrs. Luckily we didn't have to take her up on the offer but the fact that she offered meant so much! The Nest was lovely, clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. It was perfectly located in Freeport, just a quick walk to the outlet mall and LL Bean store.
If we get the chance to return to Maine, we will definitely try to stay at the Nest again.

This is our second time staying in this rental and it was exceptional. The rental is well outfitted with everything you need while away from home. It is also in a great location; you are a 3 minute walk from LL Bean with off-street parking.

We absolutely love staying here. We have been coming to Freeport for many years. This was our 2nd year at this location and don't expect we could find a place we woud be happier with.
It's comfortable, clean, nicely furnished, modern kitchen and bath, walking distance to everything yet in a quiet location. Perfect choice for our annual meet up of 3 childhood friends. Can't wait until next year!

Being in Freeport for an intense grad-school residency, I knew the days would be long and I'd need a place to "recharge." The Nest was that and so much more. This up-to-the-minute one bedroom affords all the amenities you need, with the bonus of being quiet, spacious, and inviting, From the huge cozy sectional sofa to the bedside USB connections, there's been a great deal of thought put into this space. Erica and Doug were quick to respond to any of my questions, and the check in/out was effortless. Can't recommend this place enough and plan on returning!

My daughter and I decided to spent a weekend together in Freeport, do some shopping, dine out and enjoy! The Nest was perfect! Erica and Doug have done a beautiful job, everything was beautifully decorated, very clean and cozy. Everything one might want was there…my daughter and I would highly recommend The Nest. Erica and Doug were very easy to work with and we’re always available….

Just as described. Great location to visit the coast and venture inland a bit too. The best was cozy and well equipped. Check in was easy and smooth. Hosts checked in on us via text but we did not need a thing because the description of the place was spot on.

This home was perfect. Clean and cozy. The owners went above and beyond with making sure we had everything we needed. Making sure lights were on for late check in and left us Root Beer in the fridge.
Would definitely recommend for anyone staying in the area.

We had a great stay at "The Nest" last week while in Freeport. We stayed 4 nights with our newborn and it was very clean, comfortable and convenient. Great location to town (one block) with parking on site was a plus. The apartment itself is exactly as pictured on VRBO and very clean! The couch was super comfy for down time or watching TV. Quick communication with the host during check-in and out too. They had some Maine root beer chilling in the fridge for our arrival (which we unfortunately forgot about b/c we were out and about most of our stay)! 100% would stay here again and hope to soon!

Our stay at the Nest could not have been better. Everything was just as described and communication with Erica was clear and easy. The location is perfect - close enough to walk to all the stores, but nice and quiet at the same time. There was everything we needed in the apartment. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect spot for our little family!
We so enjoyed our stay at “The Nest”! It was the perfect size for our small family including our 5year old and 6 month old. Very clean and comfortable accommodations. Great location and in walking distance to many shops including The Met where we got our morning Iced coffees. Erica (and Doug) were great hosts and very attentive to needs! Erica came through with many great suggestions for things to do and places to eat and was always quick to respond to messages both prior and during our stay.! From her suggestions, we highly recommend Popham Beach and Wild Oats Bakery! The litttle details of leaving local Root Beer in the fridge and a birthday gift for our daughter were so appreciated and just a cherry on top for a perfect “Welcome”to Maine. My husband and I are already talking about when we can return to “The Nest”!

Love the nest!
We really enjoyed our stay in Freeport! The apartment was extremely clean, comfortable for my husband and 2 children (both under 10) and so conveniently located in Freeport and as a stop on our trip. Erica provided excellent recommendations which made our trip even better. Wolfe’s Neck Woods State Park and Maine Beer Company were two of our favorites. Hope to visit soon and stay at The Nest again!

The Nest is absolutely spotless and surprisingly has plenty of room considering it’s a one bedroom. The Nest is accessed by an outdoor stairway. There is a small outdoor patio for sitting if you are so inclined. The outdoor seating is bordered by beautiful hostas and the landing at the top of the stairs has beautiful flower boxes. It’s just some of the little touches that welcome you to The Nest. We fell in love with it immediately! A big thank you to Erica and Doug for their hospitality. We look forward to a return visit!

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at The Nest. Comfy beds and sectional. Just the right size for the 2 of us. Erica was welcoming and very responsive. Freeport is a cute town and The Nest is in walking distance for it all. We would stay here again!

Perfect Spot
This was the perfect weekend home base for us to attend all my brother’s wedding festivities nearby! Walking distance to all the shops but set back from the road so nice and quiet. Also, super comfy couch!

Was only up for the weekend but wow was it nice, a quick walk to downtown and a short drive to many awesome, restaurants, breweries, and scenery. The nest is the best!

It was quiet during the day and night because it's off of the main road. Highly recommend having breakfast at Isabella's and their coffee which is from a local roastery. If you are looking for a light and affordable meal, we suggest going to Bow Street Market grocery store and asking the deli to make a sandwich for you.
