About this apartment rental
This is a charming art deco home built in 1915. The property has been recently renovated. There are many quirks of an old New England home as well as modern upgrades like stainless steel appliances and laundry in the new bathroom. It is a spacious 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom first floor apartment completely renovated with a historic feel of a New England home but with a lot of modern upgrades. There is one queen size bed in the master bedroom, two twin beds the second bedroom, queen size pull-out sofa in the living room, a very comfortable queen size futon in the sunroom and we also have a queen size air mattress available. The sunroom can be used as a sitting room or breakfast nook as well as a private bedroom. A full size dinning room to host family get together. Old red birch and fir flooring throughout. Access is to the entire apartment with private entrance - you will have full access to the kitchen and bathroom never needing to share it with anyone else. Please don't access any other part of the house (second floor, basement, attic space). Access to private driveway for off-street parking for up to 3 vehicles. Contact with us is mostly through email, text and phone, in person only occasionally if you run into any issues. Short term rental license number: STHR-000137-2018

Gals post holiday gathering.. we came in from NC and VT to meet friends and family in Portland. This was exactly the type of property we were looking for. Comfortable and cozy with space to cook dinner and hang out. Owner, Helena, was responsive to any prearrival questions and had other details prepared when we arrived. Kitchen beautifully stocked, plenty of towels and extra blankets and pillows.
We had a lovely stay and absolutely would return and recommend to others.

Quiet, clean, and comfortable accommodation, perfect for a family with 3 kids. The host was very responsive and made us feel welcome. The neighborhood is in a great location just a few minutes from all the important attractions. There are also great food options within walking distance.

Great close location to down town area. The apartment was very clean and well maintained. The beds were not the most comfy but it was a place to rest our head. The air conditioning was a wonderful bonus for each room. Appreciated the beautiful kitchen and coffee makers! Overall great place and we had a lovely stay!

This was our first visit to Portland. Our host was so great to work with and always answered my emails promptly. The apartment was perfect my family's needs (5 of us including 3 adult children). It was clean and tidy and the washer/dryer came in so handy! The sun porch worked perfect as an extra bedroom. The neighbors were also very friendly. We would definitely stay here again!

Our family of 4 really enjoyed our stay. The house is bigger than expected. Super clean and well supplied. The location is great. Easy to get everywhere. Helena was super responsive to our questions. The sun room and coffee were an added bonus.

First trip to ME/Northeast and visiting our daughter. Stayed at the property for 4th of July week and were so impressed. The unit is beautiful and there was plenty of room for 4 adults. Just 1 bathroom which is typical for early 1900's homes, so plan accordingly. Location was perfect....juat 2 minutes walk from our daughters apt and 5 minute walk from the Cove which has a great walking trail around it. Every place we went in Portland is <10 drive (downtown, harbor, transportation center/Amtrak) from the apartment. Owner was quick to respond on a minor issue and provided a great local resource folder. Was a great stay and one of the best places we have stayed through VRBO!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Nicely equipped, comfortable, warm and stylish vibe. Would stay again for sure. And location was excellent… we were in and out many times between visiting many places across Portland.

My senior parents and I enjoyed our 4-night stay at this spacious, well cared-for, and comfortable home. The sunroom was especially inviting, even with the rainy/cloudy weather. While we didn't cook much, it was nice to have a full kitchen for some low-key home meals rather then eating out for every meal. (Trader Joe's is just a few minutes' drive away.) The location was ideal for us to visit local sites, but also be able to return home for quick break/rest. The beds were comfortable, and the living spaces relaxing. My mother also loved the color scheme of the place. Patrick and Helena were super responsive in all of our communication.

This well-appointed flat was quiet and spacious. There were so many nice extra touches, from the gourmet coffee to the en suite laundry. We especially enjoyed sitting in the sunroom to read, talk, and sip our tea. Checking in was simple. Thank you for a wonderful place to stay!

Great location just steps away from the best bagels in Portland -Rose Bagels. Of special note and appreciation were the lovely all cotton linens, towels, low key but lovely decorations, really well stocked kitchen, multiple places to congregate and last but definitely not least - a GREAT selection of coffee beans. Thanks for a great home away from home!

Just what we needed

We were lucky enough to live in this neighborhood, years ago, before moving out of state! We wanted to get back to Portland to show our kids the beautiful city in which we used to live.
The apartment was spacious and in the perfect location, close to local eateries we used to frequent. The apartment provided all the necessities we needed (and more!) and the backyard was perfect for our young boys to run around in! Everything was very clean, the host was welcoming/responsive, and the off-street parking was a bonus! Thank you for having us :)

Lovely, well appointed, well located and clean historical property
Friend get together of two adults and 3 kids in this lovely home. It was close to many places to easily walk, such as The Great Bear. Plenty of air conditioners to ensure the inside was comfortable. Everything we could need, and then some, were provided by the hosts. Old home but very well maintained and decorated. Would absolutely recommend to others or stay again when in town.

What a wonderful place to stay for our family of four’s first visit to Maine! The first floor apartment was in the perfect location in a beautiful and safe neighborhood. It was extremely clean and inviting with all of the amenities that we needed. The beds were super comfy and the space of the apartment was a great size for us. The parking on the side of the house was an added bonus and the keypad on the door made it easy for coming and going. The host was very nice and extremely quick to respond when we had questions. We loved our trip to Maine and will definitely stay here if we are ever in the area again!

This was a perfect place for our 10-day stay in Portland. We loved that most of Portland was within a 2-mile walk for us, with easy access to the Back Cove trail. But we could also walk the other way into lovely, quiet residential neighborhoods. We loved that there were two amazing coffee shops, and several eateries right outside the door.
The apartment has a great layout, especially the spacious dining room, kitchen and sun room. There was more than enough space, even when we had four people in the house. Having driveway parking and laundry was also a nice perk! We really felt at home.

Perfect Spot in Portland
The charming 1st floor historical apartment was clean, well stocked, spacious, homey, and very comfortable. The neighbors were friendly and the location was safe and within walking distance to a wonderful coffee shop, and other stores. It was within short driving distance to every area in Portland we needed to see. Communication was very prompt and easy. It was a fabulous place to stay on our visit to Portland!

Beautiful apartment close to downtown Portland
We stayed at this apartment for several days after our trip to Acadia. It was the perfect end to our time in Maine. Apartment was immaculate, kitchen was fully-equipped (even stocked with gourmet coffee), and check-in was super easy. Host also provided lots of great info for the visit. Although it is just over a mile from downtown, it is not walkable. That said, we never had an issue parking. I highly recommend this apt and host for anyone wanting to visit Portland.

This is an outstanding property to experience Portland. It is in a neighborhood that isn't far from anywhere in Portland. It was safe and quiet. The communication from the owner was great. Everything just felt comfortable. From the unit we walked the back cove trail, and walked to dinner out at The Great Lost Bear, which was a short three block walk. That might have been my favorite stop in Portland. The Old Port, the Farmer's Market and Holy Donuts and just about anything else were only a short drive from the unit. We ate way too much lobster and seafood, but that's why you travel to Portland. My wife and I would love to stay here again on our next visit to Portland.

The house was really clean, maintained and well stocked for our stay. We had rainy weather so we stayed in a lot and found it very comfortable.

Comfortable
We really enjoyed staying at this apartment. The location was convenient to local restaurants and driving into Portland. The apt was clean and the air conditioning was much appreciated during this hot July. The kitchen was stocked with all the extras you would need as well. We would definitely stay here again.
