Spacious 5BR Hocking Hills Lodge with an amazing view
About this lodge
This is a professionally decorated 5 BR, 3 Bath cabin with 3000 sqft of living space. The cabin is equipped with WiFi, Sling TV, a firepit, a foosball, a large covered porch, and an amazing view. Morehead Lodge is located at Crockett's Run, a Lodging, Glamping, and Event Space on 56-acres. Events are typically held on the weekends only and in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. Morehead is tucked away and not directly next to the event lodge. There are hiking trails, a pond and playground available on-site for Crockett's Run guests. We are located in Logan, Ohio so only about an 8-minute drive to downtown Logan, which has shops and a grocery store. We are 20-30 minutes away from major state park trails, depending on the specific trail. This was a perfect rental for our stay in the Hocking Hills area.
The lodge is very clean with every amenity you will ever need. Very relaxing inside the lodge and outside. Easy check-in and easy check-out.
The location was great for exploring the area and the trails on the property are very nice.
We hope to come back soon!

The house and property were perfect for our family of 9 that included 5 adults and 4 kids from 1.5-6 years old. Went to the playground and pond every day which was less than a 5 minute walk away. Even caught a fish on every trip! Everyone enjoyed using the fire pit and hot tub. Appreciated that the house was well stocked with towels and simple things like paper towels, dishwasher tabs, hand soap and dish detergent (which hadn’t been the case with other houses we’ve rented) as well as outdoor toys for the kids. A great visit.

We did our Girls Trip here and had a fabulous time! There were only 4 of us and we had our own rooms. There was so much to do. From hiking to horseback riding to wineries and relaxing in the hot tub at the house! We definitely plan on coming back again. I have other friends that want to use this house for their Girls trip too!

We had a great time at Moorhead Lodge! The property is beautiful, our kids enjoy exploring the trails and creek. The house was spacious and clean and updated and Ben and Megan were very responsive. We are already planning our next trip and hoping to bring friends with us to stay at one of the other cabins on the property!

Home was very nice suited our family well. Loved the large kitchen and very long table, seated all of us and good for games. Pond was nice the younger kids loved the fishing and of course hocking hills is great for hicking. Thank you Pam

Beautiful views
Loved the house. Only really complaint is the back door off of the kitchen doesn’t open or close easy kinda tricky to figure out. The beds downstairs are really comfortable but the frame of the bed is not ideal. I would have slept better if my husband wouldn’t have had to crawl over me just to use the restroom. But the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in. We couldn’t figure out how to use the fans outside to get air moving it was muggy. The house was beautiful and the sights are amazing. Having a small trail on site was awesome for a quick kick to wake you up. The pond was nice to have didn’t catch anything. It’s a great venue for sure. We would be back. Loved the big table had to push over the bench to be able to fit all 8 of us at it. There are only 6 chairs at the table. We would go back for sure!!! Also a great place for a wedding we found the bridal suit when we were leaving. So pretty and a really great idea!!! Thank you so much for a great and beautiful place!

The house and amenities were even better than expected! It was a perfect gathering space for a group of friends. So many hang out areas, a dining table long enough for all of us! A couple major highlights; the hot tub, the trails on the property, the kitchen (we cooked all weekend), the comfortable beds and all the living rooms.
After check out we headed to old man’s cave for a nice short hike before hitting the road.

Hocking Hills Bauer Property
8 of us (4 couples) enjoyed out trip into Logan and its neighborhood towns. The house we stayed in was very well equipped and was all we wanted for a short weekend trip. The trail at the back in the woods, the fire pit and hot tub were all enjoyed very much.
Recommend this to anybody looking for a small getaway.

The teenage cousins played board games and cards games at the large kitchen table where we all also ate wonderful meals together. We used the charcoal grill for burgers and brats and drank coffee and adult drinks on the nice sized patio that fit all of us. Some of our group went to Old Man's Cave and Conkle's Hollow for some hiking and since we were so close, we took our oldest to Ohio University in Athens for a college visit. It was a wonderful getaway and a really nice place to unplug for some quality family time!

Really Enjoyed the Stay
The Morehead Lodge was a welcoming place to stay, had a great feeling of "home" away from home, and was set well amidst the larger surroundings of Hocking Hills and Logan, OH. We were close to hiking while being close to grocery shopping at the same time - great place to stay while getting away.

Great family trip
Stayed the weekend after Christmas with the family. Another family could not go so we had the house to ourselves. Enjoyed the snow (which I’m told doesn’t happen often) and ended up sled riding, using hot tub, and exploring outdoors. Thanks for a great weekend.

Other than an inconvenience with the dryer not working, this was an amazing place to stay!!! My kids loved the entire property. It is filled with natural wonder. The cliffs along the River were so beautiful. The kids especially enjoyed exploring outside. The house was very inviting for littles and teens alike. There were plenty of games and a fussball table as well. We had fun and it was so close to Hocking hills, only about 12 minutes to Cantwell cliffs.
