Panguitch information: Located in the valley between the Markagunt and Pausaugunt Plateaus, Panguitch Utah is home to some of the most majestic scenery on earth. A Native American Paiute word meaning “Big Fish,” Panquitch is undoubtedly named for the famously plentiful lake in the nearby mountains, hosting some of the largest rainbow trout in the state and ideal for year-round fishing. In springtime, Panquitch hosts an Annual Quilt Walk Festival where local quilters display both hand-crafted and machine embroidered works of art, while local performers re-enact the story of Quilt Walk and food lovers highlight their culinary creativity with quintessential pioneer cuisine. As the gentle warmth of spring fades and the lazy days of summer make their yearly entrance into the town of Panquitch, the city pulses with excitement as pilots launch a sky-full of hot air balloons into the heavens for the annual Panquitch Valley Balloon Rally. As night falls, spectators in the Historic Downtown area encounter the adventurous spirit of the town’s past, mixed in the magic of glowing hot air balloons as they parade up and down Main and Center Streets, like enormous planets waiting to be explored in the starlit sky. Rodeos, concerts, horse racing, sports tournaments, conventions, and equestrian competitions are hosted at the Canyon Country Complex, the city’s new event center. This state of the art, Triple C Arena is located just off scenic highway 89. July 24th is one of the town’s biggest celebrations. As the rest of the state pays tribute to the settling of the pioneers in Utah with an annual parade and fireworks, Panquitch commemorates this historic “homecoming” with reunions (family and class), a community breakfast, pit barbeque dinner, races, games, rodeo, and a city dance. Summer isn’t the only time to enjoy activities in Panguitch. A New Year’s Eve party is held every year at the indoor Triple C Arena. The whole town comes out to celebrate and enjoy food, games and live entertainment. Ice fishermen can ring in the new year by participating in the Panguitch Lake “Big Fish” Derby. Beginning the first Saturday in January they vie for cash and other prizes by catching the largest fish. For those desiring a more personal tribute to the early settlers of Panquitch, a historic cemetery awaits visitors just two miles east of the town on Highway 89. This hauntingly beautiful burial ground hosts tombstones dated as early as 1870.

House was clean and well maintained. The property managers were very proactive in the check in process and I never had to ask for anything. Beds were comfy

Smoke detector was chirping. We removed the battery. The place needed pest control. The window seals are dirty. The TV is dusty. The fake plants are dusty. Nothing has been dusted in months. The front tub needs something to keep it from being so slick. The master toilet runs ALL THE TIME, wasting water. The front room stinks like either mold/mildew or cigarette smoke. It is TERRIBLE but you only notice it at night or wet mornings. The cheap living room furniture is so short and close to the ground ..... and stained. Flat sheets in place of fitted ones don't stay in place. DirecTv didn't work at all, neither remote. The A/C wasn't installed properly. It never got cool enough to turned off. Neither shower heads worked well. One was like a water hose and the other ran out both heads at once. There was no where to hang wet towels. The broken UNSAFE highchair needed removed or replaced. Lisa called and I missed her call. She never answered or called me back. I felt harassed prior to our visit and abandoned afterwards. Multiple texts/emails to remind me of our visit and crickets about checkout or departure. Your internet was great (better than at home). The place felt cozy. The decorations were good. Having a washer/dryer was convenient and laundry soap!! Patio furniture/BBQ was a great touch. I was surprised to find shampoo and conditioner and extra blankets and a fan. Even a sponge for the sink!! With all this - we wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

The property is not advertised correctly. It does not have grass in the front or the back yards. The couches are discustingly dirty. The small couch leg broke the first time I sat on it. No one ever came to repair it as we were told would happen. The windows and window sills are filthy with dead bugs. The curtains need repair and cleaning. Extra blankets need washing. The shower curtain liner is filthy and needs cleaning or replaced regularly. There was not adequate hand soap. There should be one at each sink. It could be a very nice place to come back to is cleaned thoroughly. Please update your listing with pictures and clean thoroughly. I Elouise love to rent it again with friends for th annual Quilt Walk. Thank you

We enjoyed our stay here, we had plenty of room to spread out. The weather has cooled off considerably in Panguitch and the house was a bit chilly. I asked for help with the main heater but never got a response. There are portable heaters in every bedroom, which helped a lot. I was also confused by the text messages that came through about checking in.
