Very pleasant condo with lots of room and oversized garage for two vehicles and all your gear. Very quiet side street but you can walk to pub, store, and Skibowl tubing area. Very close to the pool and hot tub. Kitchen is great, fireplace great. Plenty of blankets and pillows to keep you cozy. The problems were: main bathroom commode on 2nd floor clogged twice and overflowed once. It needs attention. Also, I don't think this place can comfortably sleep 10 people. The two bedrooms were fine, but I don't think the triple bunkbed in the upstairs hallway could safely hold 6 adults as advertised; even 3 was an issue. It is pretty rickety. We ended up taking the upper mattresses off the bunk and slept on them on the floor. Overall, very pleased with our stay though!

Everything was great except the downstairs toilet didn’t work as many others have mentioned. I messaged 10 minutes after we arrived and they assured someone would come fix it. 2 days later and never heard a word from anyone. Not that it’s a huge deal but who wants to walk upstairs every time you need to use the bathroom? Other than that it was clean and nice.

Overall, our stay was great! There were plenty of places to eat, sleep, lounge about, and chill for the weekend.
However, there were 9 of us getting ready for an event, and none of the toilets were ready for it. The half toilet downstairs had trouble flushing, like it wouldn't refill with water after the first flush. We closed off that toilet for the rest of the weekend. The full bath upstairs would try to fill up the tank but needed a little assistance to close the plug in order for the tank to fill. The full bath in the en suite functioned the best of the three, but the handle still needed to be held in order to flush properly. We called for a maintenance request, but through the course of the weekend, I kept missing the repairperson's calls/messages (and that's totally my fault). However, I hope they were able to come by after we checked out to fix all the toilets.
Despite the toilet issues, we had a fun weekend in the mountains. I would still recommend this spot, especially if you're looking for something in town.

Perfect location and very nice floor plan for families. Kitchen was well stocked with silverware, dishes, and pans. We needed some basic cooking items but the market store was a quick walk away. My only suggestion is to communicate with the cleaning agency regarding the importance of clean bathrooms. I own a rental property and even outside of COVID, making sure toilets and showers are spotless is a must. Given that COVID levels were high in the Gov camp for the entire stay, I would suggest making sure that the cleaning staff is at the top of their game. It makes a difference to people who care about remaining safe and who have family members like myself who have medical conditions. I recognize that this is out of your control for the most part but maybe emphasize with the staff that the "typical" spot clean is not enough.

I love how this location is so close (walkable) to the heart of government camp. The garage is big enough for all your toys and to feel like your care is secure. We will definitely keep this place in mind for future stays.

Perfect for what we needed
This place was nicely decorated, clean and spacious. The only thing missing was a full sized mirror otherwise then that 10 out of 10!

The last night at 5am one of the fire alarms was chirping because it was low battery. But other than that everything was great

This is location has both pros and cons. My review is based upon me being as someone who has stayed at many vacation rentals and someone who also rents a property for others to use.
Pros-
Size- this was a very spacious condo for my group of 3 to spread out. It can sleep up to 10 but I’d only recommend that if there are kids in the group
Location- is very easy to access and close to everything in Government Camp.
Garage- If you have recreational items (such as skis or golf clubs) the garage made it perfect to store items
Well stocked- the kitchen was well stocked and ready for anyone to be able to prepare meals easily. The appliances and the outdoor grill were all great
Beds- they were comfortable and no on in my party had any complaints
Decor- it is nicely decorated
Pool- great pool and spa
In unit Washer & dryer- nice to have on site to do laundry and detergent was available for use
Cons:
No air conditioning- we happened to visit during record high temperatures and the entire place was hot during our entire stay.. The owners do supply fans but they did nothing but move hot air around. It was unbearable for us to sleep. Just an example, it was 86 degrees Fahrenheit at 4am on the main floor, and the bedrooms were even hotter. If it is ever beyond 80 degrees outside, I could not recommend this location to anyone..
Cleanliness- the sheets in the guest bedroom had not been changed from the previous occupant. I could tell from the hair and crumbs that were left behind. Some items hadn’t been dusted for a bit of time
Furnishings & Decor- although cute, some of the items need to be placed or cleaned (broken lampshades and blinds, seating need a good steam cleaning, etc
TV- this unit doesn’t have live TV. You can access YouTube, Netflix or other applications but you’ll need to have your own login
All in all, during colder months, I could stay again if accommodations were limited. However, due to the lack of air conditioning during the summer months, it was a miserable and would not stay again.

Place looked like it does it photos. Super walkable to town and places to eat. Very close to ski bowl and a comfortable stay overall. Some issues- mattresses were not comfortable. We switched beds mid-way to see if there was an improvement from the master and there wasn’t. The dishwasher was full- someone ran it and didn’t empty it. The coffee maker was not clean and had old grounds in it. And there were some long black hairs hanging around in the bed sheets. Lastly, the place is managed by a company who has their own rental site so VRBO communication isn’t helpful- you’ll either need to download the company website or call them directly, not use the VRBO message system

Great Home!
The home was very comfortable, spacious and well furnished.
Unfortunately, there wasn't enough shampoo, conditioner, washing detergent, and trash bags.
It also was not cleaned well, the floors were dirty. We obviously, took off our shoes to keep it clean, but our socks got dirty very quickly.
We love Collins Lake condos and have stayed for over a month in different units, however the cost for cleaning doesn't correspond to the cleanliness we have experienced in this unit.
