Nous avons tout aimé à Faré Mahi Mahi …. et nous avons eu du mal à partir ! D’abord le lieu se mérite après une route un peu chaotique mais totalement accessible avec la découverte de la maison et son point de vue exceptionnel l’accueil chaleureux de Sandrine et Laurent qui ont posé leurs valises ici il a quelques années et entretiennent avec beaucoup d’attention leurs chambres d’hôtes . Tout est beau , l’architecture de la maison la déco le jardin la petite piscine ainsi que les chambres remarquablement bien emménagées où il ne manque rien . Le lendemain c’est la belle surprise avec un lever de soleil éblouissant et le petit dej préparé par Sandrine composé de fruits frais, de yaourt maison confiture locale et tout ce qu’il faut pour débuter une belle journée . N’hésitez pas à leur demande conseil car ils connaissent bien leur île et les bons petits plans qui rend le séjour plus facile et agréable . Lors de notre voyage en Polynésie nous avons eu un énorme coup de cour pour Raïatéa et le Faré Mahi Mahi ❤️ On reviendra 🌏

the road until hotel

The hotel is situated high up on a mountain side. The view of the expanse of the blue ocean was magnificent. The serenity of the place helped to distress and then to soak in the beauty that was all around us. The valley on the side of our bungalow was exceptionally beautiful, I love listening to the chirping of the thousands of birds in the trees. Sandrine and Laurent are wonderful people and do their best to help out their clients and make their stay as memorable as possible. Laurent was a jewel as he washed my rental car before I left Fare Mahi Mahi. What a sweetie!!! Thank you so much, Laurent!!! I asked for extra pillows as I need to sleep with a lot of support for my back, needless to say, I slept extremely well, thank you Sandrine!!!

The dirt road going up to the place wasn't that bad but I rented a car that was very low, however I drove very slowly as to not scratch the bottom of the car.

Exceptional views so nice to get up high away from the humidity. It was a little bright & sunny in the morning but just delightful in the afternoon. Make sure you SMS the owners & they will pick you up from the town & drop you off afterwards. We slept with the doors wide open all night just lovely under the fan. The room bathroom was fine. The host does a good breakfast very efficient French only pretty well. Lovely pool with views

Very friendly hosts, attentive to our needs, and made us feel welcome. A beautiful view of the ocean and a clean room with an awesome bathroom/shower. The breakfast guava marmalade with toast was very special.

Although it was quite rainy when we were in Raiatea, the place has an amazing view, the bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is big and clean! The suggestions for dinner were also great! However, let me thank Sandrine and Laurent, the hosts, they are exceptional! Our luggages did not arrive with us but only 3 days later (thank you AirFrance...) and although we did some shopping, we did not want to produce waste by buying additional stuff we do not really need as we had everything in our luggage. Thus, Sandrine gave us literally everything: t-shirts, pants, masks, fins, sea-shoes, everything! We really appreciated this help as we had the impression we were at friends' place and this was definitely a relief after a 27-hour flight and no luggage! Thank you a lot for your great help, we will always remember you!

The bumpy road to arrive definitely needs some concrete. This is not a hosts' fault, but it was a bit complicated to arrive with the scooter, many holes and with rain the situation was even worst.

Sandrine and Lolo are amazing; Sandrine was so great, she helped us make a reservation for dinner the night we arrived and replied to our questions during the day too (on whatsapp). The location is truly stunning; sadly we only stayed one night but the view over the bay and the water is spectacular. Breakfast was great. They were just so flexible with what we needed and even though they say they speak not much English (a little French on your part will go a long way), Sandrine does her best to communicate in English also.

Can't think of anything honestly. Great value for 1 nights stay based on our overall experiences after 3 weeks in FP.

Sandrine and Lolo were very friendly and helpfull. they picked us up at the airport, organised dinner from take away (which was local food and VERY tasty and plenty) . In the morning take brought us to the ferry to Tahaa. Their place was very neat and we had a good night sleep. The view to the bay must be spectacular, but we had rain when we left in the morning.

A little remote, which we liked, but not within walking distance to the town or restaurants. The host was kind enough to give us a lift to places, but you may consider renting a car.

This property has a beautiful view. The hosts attended to every detail: from the appointment of the room, personable service, breakfast and shuttling. I highly recommend this property. The infinity pool was delightful.
