About this condo rental
This is a modest condo priced accordingly in a great location located at the center point in Maui that allows easy access to virtually all points of Interest on the island. Pool, barbecue area, elevators, air-conditioning and a spectacular view that is magnified inside the unit with mirrored walls and even more breathtaking from the balcony. Tiled floors ,and a large queen sofa bed accommodates along with a split king bed at least 4 guests comfortably. You are literally steps to the water in a unique condo that converts easily into two separate condos for more privacy. Each separate studio can rent individually for economy or together for more stretching out room. Being at the apex of sugar beach ( the largest unbroken beach on Maui ) you can jog to your heart's content. you will find that your fellow tenant are friendly and outgoing.Many of them hail from Europe, Asia,Australia,New Zealand and the mainland USA.Expect to be invited for a meal if you are around the cooking facilities at meal time. It is noteworthy that up to 73% of our guests have been with us before. Historically Nani Kai Hale was used by the old Hawaiians to dry their nets and collect turtles which are now a protected species. Canoe and catamaran racing is often viewable from the grass covered sun deck across from the outside showers and heated pool. In general Nani Kai Hale Resort is beyond the feverish routines of most beachfront properties.The privacy and peaceful ambiance is restful. Lower rates for longer stays Keywords: Condominium

The room was older. Location was excellent. Beautiful view of the ocean and easy access . I misplaced my key to the condo and the owner drove out and gave me a replacement.
My biggest issue was the windows were filthy. My first morning was spent cleaning them as I hate looking out dirty windows. I probably could have called the owner to resolve this issue, but there were cleaning supplies and I was eager to get it done.
Overall, I had a great stay and would stay there again.

Was in extreme need of updates. Mostly clean. Nice location. Walked to one restaurant, hawaiian ice place and farmers market. View from balcony was great. When calling property manager his voice mail was always full so you had to keep calling till he answered. Had a problem and he did come over in a timly manner and resolved the problem.

The location on Sugar Beach was AMAZING!
The grounds and community area was beautiful!
Lots of outdoor furniture and BBQs.
Loved the cat šāā¬ Kai.
The Condo was clean and had everything we neededā¦ā¦But all furnishings were Vintage and in need of an UPDATE!!!! A coat of paint would make a huge difference!!! And a NEW SOFA!

Property description was spot on, location allowed access to many of sights of Maui. The pool was awesome and the beach was beautiful. Host was very responsive and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This is economy digs in a great property on the beach. I stayed with just my kids and I. It was comfortable enough to sleep and cook in and we spent the rest of our days exploring and playing at the beach. Tony, our host, was such a gracious host and we will definitely stay here again. This property made it affordable for me to bring my kids to Maui!

Unit is run down, dirty and in need of repairs/upgrades; torn couch cushions, dirty curtains, duct taped A/C in living room only, ceiling fan in living room didnāt work, fan in bedroom noisy/dangerous and missing a blade, no closets available as they were filled with stuff. Ants in kitchen, kept everything in refrigerator. Mold in tub/shower.
Common areas; pool, ocean front grass area, bbq, lounge chairs well kept.
Unfortunately not the unit didnāt live up to the advertised pictures.

Upon arrival I was disappointed with the condition of the condo. Not represented as the pictures. The property is in a great location. We had a rental car which offered us the opportunity to explore everything Maui has to offer. If you are a couple looking for a nice place to celebrate a 70th birthday this is not the place for you.

We so enjoyed our stay at Nani Kai Hale, it met and exceeded our perfect Maui stay. Tony was great to deal with, Steven was so helpful, and all the residents and visitors were super nice. Made some great friends! We hope to get to stay there on our next visit to beautiful Hawaii. Dave and Kathy.

If you're looking for a place in Maui directly on the beach with a nice pool but you're on a budget, this is the place for you. It's on a beautiful beach with awesome sunsets. The patio on the beach has tables, BBQ grills and lounge chairs. There is also a very nice pool. If you're looking for a luxury condo this is not it, the place could use some updating but if you're staying inside while in Maui, you're a fool.

Overall it was a good stay. The Vrbo listing did not have the unit number and when we got there I tried to call the owner with no answer. Had to actually call the property to get the unit #
The unit was clean except for tiny ants in the kitchen. There was not food or anything there for the ants though.
Great access to the beach and on site pool.

It was extremely clean and in a wonderful location. The condo has everything you need for cooking, it also has 2 bathrooms! The location is perfect, you are close to both sides of the island the island and there is a store, farmers market and a sandwich shop within walking distance. Tony really went out of his way to make our stay extra special since we had been good guests. My partner and I found it incredibly comfortable! Don't expect a 5 star resort but if you're on a budget this place is perfect.

The photos are of the unit but must have been taken long ago. All insect screens are ripped. Master bedroom has two bandaids to cover one of the larger holes. Not sure why they decided to use a bandaid to patch screen windows.
Sofa has holes. Bedroom TV has tape on the buttons and does not work. Baseboards missing and donāt appear to have been cleaned in between bookings. Curtains are filthy. My son went behind them and came back covered in filth and dust.
Outside of the unit everything else was great. Location, beach, building, everything outside of the unit was beautiful. The unit itself is terrible.

The property the unit is on is beautiful and well kept. The unit 306 is filthy and unhealthy. I took photos to show the filth and repairs needed. The photos on VRBO must have been taken 30 years ago. NEVER recommend this unit.

The location is nice. The pool, grassy area and beach were the best part! The condo was old, could have been cleaned better (sand on floor upon arriving, shutter style closet doors disgusting with dirt and grime) but it did have a full kitchen and two baths. I wish they had put a little more money into the beds. In the king bed you felt every move and it made noise that woke you up. The sofa bed was saggy and uneven causing us to put our heads at the wrong end. Since you basically just sleep there, it would have been nice to be comfortable and get a good night sleep. With all that being said, we paid hardly nothing for our 12 nights and we had a great vacation exploring the island!!

Enjoyed the easy access to the beach right down stairs. Got to watch a luau that was next door and a couple weddings. Slept so peacefully with the ocean and wind blowing.

Itās a great spot, located at the coast of Sugar Beach yet itās close to Wailea, a 30 minute drive to Lahaina, and close to stores like Walmart, Target and Costco. The condo is spacious, the kitchen has pots, plates, and utensils, it has A/C, a balcony, tv, and of course the patio where you are able to cook and grill, has a mini fridge, tables and chairs. The only issue we had was opening the door. The key is a bit bended and we struggled every day to open the door. There were little ants by the couch area but they are harmless, could easily be solved with pesticide. Besides that, itās a great spot to stay while visiting Maui! Excellent pricing for what it offers.

Was never given the actual unit number or how to get into the room. The owner of the unit gave security information to my aunt before I had officially added her to my reservation and without any verification which makes me nervous about how safe this location is. There were no sheets for the pull-out bed but my daughter and I used the extra blankets in the closet.

This place is an awesome location for walking and swimming on sugar beach. You can go 3 miles in either direction. The condo has access to a shared sitting area beach front which is beaufully maintained. With BBQ and chairs and umbrella and a clean pool.
The condo bennifits from 2 full bathrooms and a kitchen with a good variety of utensils .
From the balcony you have a side view to the pool and the ocean and the event house next door to watch a Lua for free !!
However the property definitely needed an upgrade.
The AC was rusty and noisy but did work... just..
The doors had chipping paint..
But it was clean.
After a couple of beers we didn't notice the paint !
Make sure you have the combo code before you arrive.
We had a anxious time waiting to find out after we arrived.
