New for 2024: New Pool Table & Shuffleboard Table in Game Room. Welcome to Old Nags Head Place! This home is centrally located with all the amenities that you can think of! The private pool gives way to a well maintained lit sand volleyball court that is perfect for the day off the beach or an evening match. Don't forget Cornhole! There is plenty of spacious decking for star gazing and moon watching at night or perhaps even a grilled meal! This home is large enough to spread out yet there are plenty of places to gather as a family and entertain. The ocean facing portion of the home is made primarily of windows which make for a bright and airy living space. No shortage of Vitamin D here! All five bedrooms are open and spacious with plenty of light that serves a constant reminder that you are at the beach! The beach accesses (Yes! There are two) are just a short walk away are great for families with small kids that are trying to avoid the long walk with beach equipment. Near Mile Post 11.5, close to the Nags Head Fishing Pier! Dove Ocean is equipped with a back-up generator in the case of a power outage. Outside: Pool Area, Pool, Hot Tub, Outside Shower, Volleyball Area, Fully Fenced Backyard w/Patio Living Area. We spent a week here with friends and family and everything was perfect!!!! The kitchen was the most stocked thst we have ever seen!!!! Plenty of space for 7 of us, beds slept good, pool and hot tub were awesome!!!! The property was centrally located, had ocean views even though not directly on the beach, parking for 4 vehicles and spotless. Loved the outdoor kitchen and we spent a lot of time out there cooking and lounging in the sun. Will definitely stay here again when we decide to return to the OBX with a group!!!!

Fantastic accommodations for all ages. Clean property. Well maintained. Pool and hot tub were cleaned mid-week when we were there. Having 2 refrigerators is a huge plus and elevator for unpacking and packing up. Loved the DVD collections and the game options. Great property, awesome location! So close to everything!

Dove Ocean was perfect for our family! From the open concept kitchen, dining and living area on the top floor to the TV room on the second floor and the game room on the ground, there was space for everyone to enjoy! The pool area was a favorite for the kids and we all enjoyed the corn hole tournaments in the sandy volleyball area. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking our favorite meals which we enjoyed around the large dining room table. It is conveniently located in Nags Head, just minutes from shopping, grocery stores, attractions and restaurants.

Our family enjoyed everything about Dove Ocean! Plenty of Puzzles for the rainy days we had. Outdoor area was great. Played plenty of corn hole and some sand volleyball. Close to local restaurants and ice cream. Not far from beach access, easy walk.

Hi, my second time staying in Cape Todd. In 2015 we loved the home, amenities, and location. This year we noticed several issues some of which weren't addressed and this impacted our experience. Several issues were reported, and fixed like pool lights, and hot tub. However, the wi fi never worked consistently which constantly requires us to reboot the router or call the customer support team. And since the owners offer netflix over tv in the bedrooms, the TV(s) are rendered useless without wifi. A few doors had handles which would come off, which was annoying. But we liked the improvements on the deck, the pool patio and the keurig in the kitchen.

We very much enjoyed the home and size. we were a little disappointed that the pool was full of sand from the previous renters. I know the pool is cleaned once per week so there is a lapse naturally but it was not a great first impression. In addition, nearly every bathroom had plumbing issues and poor draining. We let the rental company know but no one came to fix the issue. The propane tanks were also empty when we arrived so it would be a good idea to check that when doing the cleaning to make sure the new renters don't have to wait for propane to be delivered. Though the rental company was quick to deliver full tanks when we asked (within one day).

Although, we loved the house, location, and amenities, there was one major issue. The hot tub had electrical issues. My daughter was shocked, as was I and my brother. This could have been deadly. I sent two messages to the rental group, as I was unable to get anyone on the telephone. It was unfortunate that this happened and that it wasn't addressed while we were there. I hope it is fixed now for the safety of future occupants.

This is the first trip for all of us following the pandemic. We looked forward to the great amenities of this home and the proximity to all the landmarks. Cape Todd was great for all ages, even the toddlers. The owners took care of everything but the food. Roku and Netflix are provided as well as a huge DVD library for all ages. It is in walking distance to FroYO, the fishing pier, the beach and a few restaurants. Easy access to the beach through the back gate. It is a beautiful home and we look forward to returning to this house in the near future. Thank you for letting us use your home!

Relaxation and Luxury
We had a wonderful week at this lovely home with our adult children although it would be wonderful with kids too. It was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The pool was a delightful luxury. The local beach was just beautiful.

Property is perfect
I gave a lower rating than I normally would have only because I believe the people who rented the property before us were not very kind to it. We got here and the outside kitchen/grill area was a mess and I’m assuming housekeeping just didn’t have time to address it. The rest of the house was satisfactory and once things were cleaned to my liking we could truly enjoy the amazing space! There were three days we ended up not even going to the beach because we had so much fun playing corn hole and volleyball on the sand court (the sand actually felt like beach sand not gross sand box sand). The outside kitchen was so nice to use! We had snacks and drinks there everyday. We had 10 people staying here and we had plenty of space to spread out. We all decided we would trade a beach front property for this property just because of the outside activities at Cape Todd. Overall, I would recommend this property and I would consider staying here again.

This house was perfect for our family vacation. We loved that there was a pack n play, baby gates, a high chair and a booster seat with this rental so we didn't have to worry about packing our own. The volleyball area in the backyard was so much fun and the outdoor kitchen was also an awesome feature. The home was clean and had everything we could've wanted!

My family stayed in this house for the week leading up to my wedding. It was absolutely gorgeous and we couldn't have asked for a better place. It was clean, tidy, and absolutely what we hoped for. The views of the ocean were more than I had anticipated considering the house is a few rows back from the ocean. It was so nice to already have sheets and towels at the house so that we did not need to worry about bringing them.
Check in and check out was simple. Beach access is super easy to get to and we enjoyed playing beach volleyball in the sand! I would highly recommend this house to anyone! =)

Was like Disney. Show up with a code on your phone or "magic band" vacation starts. When you need to leave, just check out with the app on your phone. Place is great, all utilities work. Beach access isn't to far. Location worked out for our deep sea fishing event. Make sure you bring soap of all kinds, trash bags, and better off with paper plates and plastic cups so you don't have to keep doing the dishes on your vacation. They have sheets for the beds and packages for towels, which worked out great for us as we had to fly and couldn't bring these items. Everything was great, thank you.

Only complaint is that refrigerator in game room wasn’t working. Luckily we noticed that our ice had melted on Sunday night before any of our food defrosted and spoiled. Called for service first thing Monday morning. No one came. Called again on Tuesday. Someone came either Tues. or Wed. afternoon, said he couldn’t fix it and someone else would come. Made 2 more phone calls after that and still no one had come as of Sun. when we left and never received any phone calls with any explanation. Disappointed in maintenance service. With 12 people in house we really needed the 2nd refrigerator. Other than that, the House was beautiful with great location and we had a wonderful family reunion/vacation.
