You can’t ask for a better location- steps to a quiet beach, a shared pool in front of the house and a porch from which to watch sunsets. However, the house was filthy. Layers of dust , the vents up near the ceiling are full of mold/mildew, even the lightbulbs! The lamps are dusty. Carpets are stained. And the house needs repairs. I don’t mind something not updated but when I arrived the towel bar in the master bath was hanging out of the wall (still not sure how the maid service got towels on it). The screen on the porch was ripped and blowing in the wind, the door to the upstairs bedroom wouldn’t open (and is a louvred door which doesn’t keep sound out and had inches of dust in the louvres). The door to the laundry kept coming off it’s track. We had an issue with water from the dishwasher. One of the porch chairs was ripped thus unusable, and several others are close to ripping. Drawer in the living room cabinet is broken- or at least doesn’t close. We had maid service twice in 3 weeks and they did a very basic sort of clean. They left toothpaste residue on the counter and the carpet on the stairs wasn’t vacuumed- and it’s expensive especially considering how little they did. It’s a shame because I truly love the location but I just couldn’t put my family in this property again. The management service was responsive and emergent things got repaired (for the most part- there is still a power cord with multi plugs in it that is frayed at the plug that was never replaced). The house itself is as depicted as to size/rooms (other than the bedroom door) and, with a huge cleaning and repairs could be great. With COVID I was shocked that the house wasn’t thoroughly clean!

We had a great week! The house needs updating. A few things were broken. We called maintenance and they came to fix the ice maker, which they couldn’t fix. They did not come out to fix the broken sliding glass door. My kids were a little disappointed that we didn’t have access to the pools with water slides, where we had been before(end of south seas). Over all good time on our vacation!

Nice location. Our second beach house rental in South Seas. This one not as nice as previous and needs updating. Particularly beds and bathrooms.

We loved it! 50 yards from the beach. Pool right in back. Amazing place. We swam all day and caught fiddler crabs at dusk. Just a short gold cart ride to great restaurants with out door eating. We will be back for sure.

We enjoyed our stay and in general. the home was clean and storage was ample. When stripping the beds at checkout, there were unrine stains on the twin bed mattresses upstairs that concerned me as I had my grandchildren sleeping on those beds. Clean and comfortable bed linens are so important when renting to others. I realize that is a big challenge but sanitation is critical. The refrigerator had some broken shelf liners and the back stairs rail was loose and moved around as you would hold onto it. Nice to have extra trash bags and dish cloths. Ants are always a problem at South Seas - this is our 49th year visiting. I was careful to keep food items away from the counters when not in use but the ants still come from who knows where. It would be nice to have a housekeeping service available for self pay use at least once when staying 5-7 days or more.
