Close to Coonabarabran and close to the majestic Warrumbungle National Park, our accommodation is perfect for couples and families. Located on a rural property, Mirrabook Cottage is a world away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Enjoy the peaceful night sky, clean fresh air, and a quiet glass of wine on the deck. The cottage is a separate cabin from the main house, with separate entrance, ensuring maximum privacy. Our kitchen is fully self-contained, perfect for making your favourite gourmet meals. Baby items such as portacot, high chair and baby bath available upon request. Additional floor mattress can be provided for extra persons upon request at additional cost. Sorry no pets. The property owners are available at any time to answer questions or provide local information. We endeavour to make your stay as smooth as possible. The property owners live onsite in a separate home.

The cottage was perfect us (two retired couples). Everything we needed was there. The cottage was clean and comfortable and quiet. Nothing was lacking. I highly recommend the cottage as a great place to stay if you are visiting Coonabarabran and/or Warrunbungle National Park like us.

We wanted to explore the unique volcanic rocky outcrops and beautiful forests and bush land of the Warrumbungles. This cottage, just at the foothills in peaceful rural setting, was a perfect base and a cosy spot to return to after a day’s exploring. The owners are friendly and helpful. We originally planned to visit in 2021 but were thwarted by lockdowns. Kelly was wonderfully flexible and accommodating. A beautiful and unique spot.

We spend a couple of nights here to see the dark sky reserve and had a fantastic stay. The house was clean, tidy, and warm!! We had a lovely time sitting outside and looking at the stars - it really felt like home.

We [2 x 50+ couples} loved staying at Mirrabrook Cottage. The travel instructions were excellent. If you are looking for a peaceful, bush experience close to both Warrumbungle NP and Coonabaraban this cottage is half way to both. The cottage was well equipped and I loved hearing the birdsong every morning and evening, sitting around the open pit fire watching the hills. A very relaxing place with everything you need.

Cabin is well-appointed and in a great location halfway between Coonabarabran and the Warrumbungles NP- about 20mins to each. On the deck you have mountain views and a babbling brook far from the madding crowds-what more do you want?! Host Kerry was very kind and responsive to all our requests- highly recommended.

Mirrabook cottage is spotless, modern, well appointed and very comfortable. It has a well equipped kitchen and laundry/bathroom and a very comfortable bed. The setting in the foothills of the Warrumbungle National park is wonderful with rural and mountain views, cattle, kangaroos, lots of birds and bright starry nights. We had a great holiday exploring the region and would love to return.

Our hosts were very welcoming and the cottage was fully equipped with everything we needed and completely spotless. The heating made the cottage cozy and warm and we loved watching the sun go down behind the hills each night. We will definitely be back and will recommend Mirrabook Cottage to all of our friends.

Great for Siding Springs and Warrumbungles. Property was immaculate and perfectly described. Beds warm and comfortable and well heated in winter. The walks were epic and difficult but so worth it! Camp fire was great and night sky in big sky explorer country was unmissable and privacy was second to none. Shame about tours of Siding Springs but will be back again for the caves and other walks and great for escaping Covid. Thank You

A Piece of Heaven
This property is blissfully quiet, set in beautiful scenery and equipped to a high standard. If your ideal break is to commune with the stars (it’s in a Dark Sky Area) and nature (kangaroos, birds and farm animals) then this is surely the place for you. The view of the Warrumbungles is superb, and all from your balcony. Though it is situated 17km from town this is a mere 15 minute drive. This cottage is a restful haven from the hustle of the outside world. Kelly, our host, was very helpful and showed great concern for our enjoyment and welfare. 5 stars.

We loved our stay at Mirrabook. Its a beautiful, quiet spot. The cottage is clean and a good size for our family of four. We loved sitting around the firepit and watching the stars at night. Easy access to the Warrambungles and observatory.
