Nicely located hotel, clean and comfortable rooms. Very friendly hosts, doing a great job on sargassum removal, delicious breakfast, and helping out with organising trips. Free use of kayaks and snorkel gear. Xcalak is especially good for diving and fly fishing.
Nothing.

Casa Paraiso is perfectly located in the Mexican Caribic. The owners and all people working there are lovely people. We had a great time there and want to say thanks to Jim and Lisa, they are great hosts. Thank you for your invitation for dinner, we loved it. Benjamin is a great chef, also the breakfast was amazing.

Beautiful remote location, great staff and nice upgrades from our visit a few months ago. Benjamin, Chase and Sarah are wonderful hosts and the beach at Xcalak is amazing!

Casa Paraiso was a perfect spot for us. It was isolated and quiet without a lot of distraction. There were lots of activities available including snorkeling, biking, paddle boarding, kayaking, diving, fishing. We didn't end up taking advantage of all of them since it was a bit windy and cool but we biked and walked a lot. And soaked up the sun. Our room had a terrific deck with chairs that looked out over the water. Benjamin, the manager, was friendly and very accommodating as were the other staff. This place is pretty much off the grid so the kitchens were not equipped with a microwave, blender, etc - appliances that take a lot of electricity but they were available in the cabana and Benjamin was most helpful in making sure those were available to us. The breakfasts were hardy, delicious and seemed very local but differed each day - chilaquiles, pancakes, eggs with chorizo, salsas, vegetables, fruits - always accompanied by eggs, beans, juice and coffee. The casa was just a very nice beginning to our time here in Mexico.

Casa Paraíso is located on a beautiful place! It truly is paradise! they have an own jetty with hammocks and a palapa at the end where you can enjoy the sunrise and the beautiful view. Overall the atmosphere is super relaxed and we immediately felt at home. Benjamin, the manager is absolutely lovely and helped us with every question we had. He made our stay unforgettable!
nothing - we liked everything!

Seriously one of the tastiest breakfasts we have ever had. Reliable WiFi. Xcalak is our new favorite coastal village. We loved cooking most of our food in the room. My toddler daughter had an amazing time playing with the puppy, swimming in the Caribbean, and jumping off the dock. Benjamin helped us arrange an amazing fishing trip. There is no aircon, lots of mosquitos at night, sometimes the power goes out, you need a car or be able to bike, but you get to be all alone in a gorgeous place. If you love luxury and complaining please stay away. We will be back!
There is always something to complain about if you try, and I choose to not nitpick a good thing.

Beautiful location on a quiet stretch of the beach. Room was very nice with a great patio with ocean view. No AC, but breezy and comfortable at night. Benjamin, the owner, was wonderful and cooked us delicious breakfast and had good tips for the area.
Summer brings in the sargasso to the Mexican coast and we also hit a storm from the south that brought high winds. Looking forwardbto going back at another time of year.

Honestly? Absolutely nothing.
Although Benjamin tries to be attentive, the overall level is terrible.
Absolutely not understand, but previous reviewers had to visit a completely different place.
Unfortunately the worst accommodation I have visited in the last 10 years.
- everything incredibly dirty and sticky
- even the refrigerator in the common area is incredibly dirty.
- if you respect at least the minimum principles of hygiene, the dishes are unusable
I wanted to leave the first day, but my wife convinced me to stay. And it was a big mistake!
The next day we woke up extremely bitten by bed bugs. We treated it off for the whole next week.
Casa del Paraíso??? Certainly not, rather a nightmare house "Casa de Pesadilla"
Usually I'm not very interested in the price, I only follow the reviews. In this case, the price was 50% higher than the price of Hampton by Hilton in Merida. But this is a completely different universe!

Beautiful place with a very authentic touch. Far away from everything but 5 minutes drive to dive centre. The manager Benjamin is very kind

It is truly a unique place, far from the crowds. You step right from your room on the beautiful private beach. The rooms may be somewhat dated but sufficiently comfortable, WIFI is excellent. Benjamin and his staff take excellent care of you. Moreover Benjamin speaks excellent English and he would be happy to help you with anything.
All kind of tours are offered, but as we discovered, the success of them depends strongly on the time when the tour is performed. Better not between 11.00 and 15.00 hours Snorkeling was to us, pretty spoiled by the way, a bit disappointing.
