We had a great experience. The house was within minutes of several local beaches. It was just as it appeared in the listing and the owners were awesome in responding to a few questions we had. The special admission to the ferry was a special treat and the kids collected hundreds of shark teeth and other fossils.

This house is everything one would need. Plenty of linen provided, beds are super comfortable. Great location. Owners are great, met with John and he is down to earth. Will definitely be returning!

My family and I enjoyed our time at your spacious pool home.

The house was a good size and clean. The location was great. We took several runs in Shamrock Park and it was close to amenities. The best feature was Venice beach. The house came with a ferry pass and it was well worth it. The only downside was that the pool was a little cold so we didn't use it as much as we wanted too. Other than that, it was a great experience and we will be back!

This home has not been recently remodeled as indicated on the website. The only thing that has changed since it was purchased in 2015 is the walls were painted. We found the home to be dirty. The majority of the furnishings are old and stained and some of the kitchen chairs are starting to fall apart. The bathroom faucets are corroded and the showers have very little pressure. In addition, the shower water is lukewarm and does not get hot. There are inadequate dishes and coffee cups provided and the cabinets are dirty and unorganized. The sheets for the beds are old. We requested new towels because the ones provide were also old, worn and stained. The pool area is not very inviting. There are uncomfortable plastic chairs to sit in and only one lounge chair. The screened unit that covers the pool is in desperate need of paint and the doors are rusty and old. Although the listing indicates the pool is heated the owner tried but we never noticed any difference in the temperature so we did not use it because it felt cold. Also, the water that comes out of the faucet tastes terrible. We bought drinking water and water to use to make ice and coffee. The location of the property is good.

My husband and I rented John and Anna’s cute Fundy home in South Venice for. 6 weeks. We found the property to be just as advertised. John and Anna are exceptional hosts. They were very responsive to any adjustments or needs that we had. We enjoyed the pool and visits to the ferry beach. This is a great rental for a family or just a couple.... lots of room for company. We would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed a fabulous month of vacation here! The house was spacious, clean and had an awesome kitchen and pool. The owners are friendly and responded to our inquiries promptly. We highly recommend this lovely home in a quiet (WONDERFULLY quiet) neighborhood near biking and beach opportunities.

John and Anna were great to work with—very quick to respond to questions. The house was perfect for 6 adults. Very clean and comfortable. The pool and patio were great. The water feature was very relaxing. Nice place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. We’d love to come back and stay in this house again. Highly recommend staying here.

We stayed here over the long July 4th weekend. It is a great location and the pool is wonderful. It would have been nice to have some additional furniture by the pool.

Very clean,conveniently laid out home. Owners were very responsive to any problems we had. Very basic cooking pans and utensils but we managed. Nice little pool for lovely afternoons. GREAT location! So close to bike path and Shamrock Park! Definitely recommend renting bike. Loved access to the ferry and private community beach . Highly recommend ! We would have rented again next year for a longer time span but it was already rented☹️

During our visit, we took advantage of the free ferry to the local beach area several times. Such a great amenity! The house is very close to Shamrock Park, where we walked every day along the Intracoastal Waterway, enjoying the view and even seeing some Scrub-Jays. It was fabulous to be so close to a great walking area. The house location also made it easy to go grocery shopping and to go out to dinner at local area restaurants. Venice center is also just a short drive from the house. The house is very open and bright with comfortable beds and a screened lanai for enjoying outdoor reading and sitting by the pool. Having a private pool was another great amenity and the pool water temperature was perfect. The house was well stocked with paper supplies, dish soap, trash bags, etc. It was nice to arrive and have all of those things immediately available. The owners were very quick to respond to questions we had along the way during our stay in their home. A gas grill would have been useful as we do enjoy grilling. None of the bedrooms had a TV. It would have been nice to have had one in at least the master bedroom. The TV in the main living room was rather small for the area. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Venice this year. Thank you!

Owners got right back to us when we contacted them about problems or had questions. There were repairs required -- ie all the outlets in a room not working, leak in shower pipe which sprayed water in bath room, 2 broken chairs. Since we were on vacation, we were out most of the time and these items were not too annoying. We were looking forward to the heated pool as advertised, but the pool never did heat up even though it was in the upper 70's everyday. I hope the owners have a chance to do repairs because the location and house lay-out are good.

I rented this home for my parents, who are 80 years old. The pluses: the owners were very nice and responsive to all questions. The house is very clean, bright and open. Beds are comfy, plenty of sheets/towels. The layout of the house affords privacy to all. The pool is in good condition, but unfortunately was quite cool and not warm enough for my parents to enjoy which was somewhat of a disappointment as my dad was particularly looking forward to that. The location cannot be beat - you can be at the beaches in minutes and the area is very bike friendly. There is a wonderful park at the end of the street (Shamrock park) and you can walk for miles. The downside: the house really lacks some basic amenities. For instance, there is no poolside furniture - not a single poolside chair. It seems to me that there should be some lounge chairs for the pool area. It would be nice if there was some effort to decorate the pool area. There is no grill which was a real disappointment - we had to cook inside. One oven did not work and there was not much selection for pots/pans (none of the pans were non-stick pans which was somewhat of a hassle). There was also only 7 plates for 6 people so we were constantly washing dishes. The outdoor table could only seat four. There was only one television, and it was on the smaller side, in the house. Lastly, there seems to be a drainage problem - the sink in the kitchen discharged into the driveway and thus, even though I tried to make sure food didn't go down the sink drain, some food material did and it sat in the driveway. The washing machine also discharges into the driveway which is not visibly appealing, and doesn't seem neighborly to me. Probably none of these things would bother me for a short stay, but we were there for two weeks and it became bothersome. Overall, though, the owner is very nice,and responsive, the house is clean and well laid out, and the location cannot be beat. We did enjoy our stay!

We have visited Venice several times and we very much enjoyed it, the house is nice and great for larger groups. The pool is very private and was heated to a very comfortable temp for Dec/Jan Florida temps, especially considering we used it must in the mornings or evenings before or after we would come back from activities. South Brohard Park is a very nice public beach with great parking! It also doesn’t seem to be as busy as other public beach’s, we found 132 sharks teeth! Thanks! The Seite’s

We stayed her over the Christmas holiday, house was everything we expected, clean and well kept, and very comfortable. Upon arrival owner stopped by to check to see if we needed anything and also showed us how to warm up pool. Location was tremendous, close to everything, and of course perfect weather in Venice always makes the stay better. Would definitely rent again.

Great place to stay that's close to everything! The ferry pass was awesome as well! John and Anna are super friendly and easy to talk to and get ahold of. They're patient with your every question. Absolutely no complaints. Everything was fantastic! I would definitely stay again!

This clean, conveniently located house in a quiet South Venice neighborhood was fine for us while visiting friends and family during April vacation! There were fewer amenities than other places we have rented, but because we drove from Maine we brought our own beach and pool equipment. We really missed having a grill for cooking outside on warm nights! There was a problem with the pool, but John did his best to quickly resolve the issue. The ferry access to the private beach is a real plus and we plan to return to this area again!! Thanks John and Anna!

Location was perfect for a quick stay over the New Year's holiday. The home was well equipped and John was very accommodating! Never had a chance to use the pool, but it was a great amenity. Nice property!
