Highly updated beachfront rental perched atop the bluffs in Solana Beach! With 2 beds, 2.5 baths + den, & over 1,600 sq. ft. of living space, this is the vacation rental you’ve been looking for! Be on the sand in minutes via a convenient staircase to the beach below that is just down the street. This 2-story unit is spacious enough to sleep 5 people. The main bedroom offers a King-sized bed, ensuite bath with dual vanities, & a private patio with peaceful green views. The second bedroom features a Queen-sized bed & an additional private patio. The den has a desk, twin bed, & a door that can be used to close off the space for privacy. With lots of light, vaulted ceilings, a full modern kitchen, & coastal decor, you’ll feel as if you’ve landed in a 5-star resort! Additional features include a decorative fireplace, large dining table for enjoying meals, TV, WiFi, in-unit washer/dryer, & BBQ. Community amenities include 2 pools, 2 spas, tennis courts, a coastal walking path, tropical landscaping, & clubhouse. All this plus an outstanding location just minutes from the Solana Beach shoreline, Fletcher Cove, Cedros Design District, the famous Belly Up Tavern, & delicious local restaurants. THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW: *There is no AC in this unit. Being located along the coast brings cooler temperatures and a coastal breeze.  *For work from home we always recommend having a hot spot as we can't control service interruptions & outages. *Stairs must be taken throughout complex to get to front door and parking. Seascape Sur is a large complex and does not have any elevators or luggage carts. *This property is in a condo complex with neighbors all around. We don't monitor construction or noise from neighbors and this should be taken into consideration when booking. Starter kits of toiletries are provided to all guests.   Supplies for the entire length of the stay are not provided.  Kitchens are stocked with dishes, drinkware, pans and cooking utensils.   Spices, oil or anything perishable are not stocked.

In all our prior rentals, we only contacted the host to say hello and goodbye. Our family was at a Harcourts Avanti managed property from 12/22 to 12/31/2021. We had to contact them numerous times. DAY 1, there was no heat in three rooms. We didn’t notice in the dark, there were windows left open, which exacerbated the cold. We had a very uncomfortable night. Also, there were no towels. Two bags of towels were dropped off next morning. By phone/text next day, Brandon, covering for Ashley, informed us that HVAC would come. DAY 2, a screen that was hanging off its hinge, kept banging as it was very windy, making for another difficult night. Further, the sliding doors would not lock. DAY 3, Vic, the handyman, removed the screen. HVAC man came, but could not fix the problem. He said might have been due to a circuit breaker. We could not locate the box. Brandon delivered two space heaters. DAY 6, Ashley sent a refund for two heat-less nights via Venmo THROUGHOUT this time, we wondered why we only had 1.5 bathrooms, instead of 2.5 as advertised. We chose to overlook this because frankly, we were just tired of complaining and thought the only remedy for this would be to move us to another unit which would have presented us with more aggravation. We felt we would just make the best of the situation. However, on DAY 7, the showerhead FELL while one of us was taking a shower, hitting him on the back, luckily not his head. DAY 8, Vic came to change the showerhead. Upon our return to the condo, we were shocked to find another full bathroom, which had been locked our entire stay. AND, there was a linen closet full of clean towels AS WELL as the circuit breaker box in this bathroom. In other vacation rentals, there would be locked doors, so we had not thought this unusual. We requested a full refund for Harcourts' false advertising. DAY 9, Ashley said no refund would be issued and to feel free to contact VRBO. BTW, the picture shown in ad is NOT the one in our rental. We have pics. Another detail is an unmarked step down to the living/dining room and the small bedroom, which is dangerous. Renters should be warned of this. They did allow us 1.5 hr late checkout. We forgot to remove from the refrigerator a can of beer, an open carton of almond milk, and a half-consumed platter of fruit. We apologize for this. We also could not lock the faulty sliders. We otherwise followed all other check-out directives. Harcourts failed the renters and the condo owners.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Due to a sudden relocation, our family needed to find a furnished rental ASAP & during a pandemic. After a frantic search & several meh/expensive VRBO's, thank goodness we found Harcourts Avanti & connected w/Ashley. She could not have been more professional or helpful guiding us through the process of securing the right spot, then patiently working w/us & accommodating our somewhat dynamic situation. The property itself was perfect for our family of 4. The location is ideal...just walk out the door for easy, walkable access to Solana Beach & Del Mar beaches, Cedros district, etc. There are two protected/underground garage spaces that are a bit of a walk, but street parking right outside the property gate (& just up a flight of stairs to the unit) is pretty much always available. The development has much to offer (tennis courts, a pool, hot tub) with a direct stairway down to the beach. Over the course of our 6 month (Dec-June) stay, the property was quiet and calm. We arrived to an absolutely spotless & well-maintained unit. The upstairs living area is spacious and light, with a side room that can be used as an office or additional sleeping space (twin bed) and bathroom. The kitchen is super well-stocked cookware & appliance-wise. The 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms on the first floor have ample space and are well but not overly furnished. The beds (a king & queen) are fantastic. "Comfortable" is really the operative word here, whether you're staying for a week or for months; the unit is just super-livable & user-friendly. Only caveat might be that the stairs in & around the unit/property could add pose a challenge for less mobile folks. We were extraordinarily happy here throughout our stay...aside from the comfort we experienced, we were also incredibly impressed by Ashley's high level of service. The few fixes that were necessary were handled quickly & efficiently. Highly recommend this spot for long or short stays!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location itself is nearly unbeatable. A simple minute walk to the beach made me never want to leave. I would repeat again on the location alone.

Outside of the location, other amenities were lacking the same great qualities. When we arrived, we had to wash most of the dishes, pots, pans, and silverware again because they were very dirty. Almost all of the towels were still wet in the washer so we had to move them to the dryer and then put them away ourselves. Be careful of ants, do not leave anything out at all. We were also a little confused on parking. There is only one spot available since the other is used. It's also far from the unit, so if you plan to unload the car, I would recommend parking on the street. Otherwise, the home itself was clean and tidy.

A note to other potential renters, the unit does not have AC, but that may not matter depending on the time of year you plan on staying. The community key also didn't work on the small gate outside of the unit which was a minor inconvenience but didn't detract from the stay overall.

Management was extremely responsive and a great help from day one. Any issue we had they addressed immediately.

Overall, I was happy with the stay and would repeat at a time when it wasn't so hot. The beds were very comfortable and the sheets were soft. I would also confirm ahead of time that everything had been cleaned and washed, especially during COVID times.
