This incredible location will centre you between the gorgeous views of the Olympic Mountains from Dallas Rd., Beacon Hill park, the Parliament buildings, the Coho and Clipper ferry terminals in addition to the inner harbour mini ferries that can take you to Esquimalt, Gorge and the other harbour areas. This 2 level modern town home with a garden sanctuary is beautifully furnished and totally equipped for you to walk in and feel right at home. Each bedroom has its own full ensuite bathroom . Vaulted ceilings & skylights up and down make it bright and spacious feeling. Handy, secure parking is right next to the house in the driveway . Restaurants, grocery shopping, medical, banking and all amenities are within walking & biking distance. The totally private south facing patio provides a wonderful environment to relax, entertain, barbecue and eat your meals in peace. The Secret Garden was everything it was represented to be: very comfortable, well equipped and is a wonderful location for enjoying everything Victoria has to offer. Especially handy to excellent public transportation. Our hosts were very congenial and helpful. Definitely hope to return.

We loved our stay in this beautiful, cosy and quiet home. The kitchen was fully equipped for meal preparation. The location could not have been better - close to grocery shopping, the new James Bay library, downtown and the harbour. Our hosts were gracious, helpful and fun! Excellent accommodations.

I would definitely stay at this house again. It was so much like being at home and the back garden is so peaceful and restful it's hard not to sit in it any time day or night. The house is everything one could need and more. The location is excellent to downtown or the wharf. I highly recommend this house to anyone who would like to visit Victoria and have a great place to go from.

We had a wonderful one month stay at Barry and Brendas James Bay home. We didn't even rent a car this trip as the bus runs regularly (about every 15 minutes) from the stop for Fishermans Wharf just a block away. The bus ride is only 15 minutes to downtown. The home was very clean, comfortable and well stocked with necessities. The bedrooms each have their own bath, one with a shower/tub and the other has a walk in shower. Everything was in working order and easy to operate. Barry met us on arrival and gave us a tour and information on the workings of the home. The unit is at the back of the property so it is very quiet and private. The garden is well kept and landscaped beautifully. Thank you Brenda and Barry for a great stay.

We had the best time at your place. Loved caring for your plants as if they were our own! You have the greatest location for eating, shopping, bus stops and neighborhood. The two bedrooms and two bathrooms just fit our needs. We do hope to see you next year. vee and Astrid

We visit Victoria once or twice a year but this was our first time renting a vacation property for our visit. We stayed at Barry and Brenda's townhome from Oct 5 - 13, 2017 and it was absolutely perfect in every way. The home is a great mix of high-end modern appliances and amenities along with lovely antique furnishings that provides a beautiful space to relax and unwind. Barry and Brenda were very welcoming so we truly felt "at home". The gas fireplace was great for the cooler mornings and evenings of our fall visit. We did not utilize the backyard as much as we would have liked due to the weather but it was great to have access to the barbecue and the secluded garden and patio were lovely to view through the big expanse of windows when dining or relaxing in the living room. In the spring or summer you would likely spend most of your time in the backyard. Both bedrooms have their own bathroom so the townhouse is ideal for vacationing with adult family or another couple. The location of the property in James Bay is ideal for walking to Fisherman's Wharf, the pathways along Dallas Road and the Inner Harbour. It is also close to a shopping area with a great Thrifty's store for groceries, a good takeout pizza place (Superior) and a liquor & wine and beer store. We ate most of our breakfasts and some lunch and suppers at the townhouse so easy access to groceries was handy and the townhouse was otherwise well stocked. A great spot for breakfast or lunch close to the townhouse is the B.C. Legislative Building dining room. The food is well prepared and reasonably priced. You can check their website for hours and rules about when you can go. Reservations are recommended for lunch. All in all, Barry and Brenda's home is well situated, lovely, and very user friendly and we thank them for providing access to their home. We would definitely stay there again.
