About this house rental
Our Timber Framed Guest Cottage is a very sweet cozy place completely furnished for your comfort. It has one bedroom and a large loft area with another queen bed and one twin bed to sleep up to 5 people total. There is a gas fireplace and large gas grill on the back deck. Bathroom is small but sweet with a claw foot tub to soak in if desired or shower with enclosed curtain. TV in upstairs loft but NO Cable or local TV service. DVD and VHS to use with selection of kid movies there. The cottage is located in a very quiet area of town on the edge of an aspen grove and field of wild flowers. It is just one block off the main road through town and is walking distance to a variety of services and shops - restaurants, antiques, golf, groceries, car rentals, AmTrak train station (summer season only), horseback riding, and shuttle services to all hiking tails and lodges within Glacier National Park (summer season only). It can also be a great winter get away if you like to cross country ski, back country skiing and snowboarding. Essex is a 1/2 hour drive that offers miles of groomed xc ski trails - classic and skate. The cottage shares a very large yard with our other rental home right next door (VRBO listing # 328250). It is an ideal setting if traveling with a large group or multiple families. There are yard games to enjoy as well: badmitten, croquet, volleyball, soccer, etc. We also have a few bicycles available for your use - single speed 'townie' type bikes to roam around the town of East Glacier on. We are in a great location to come and explore Glacier National Park all four seasons. Come relax and enjoy the town of East Glacier Park and the national park while staying in our cottage. Just an overall great and beautiful stay in East Glacier. Close to everything we wanted to do in the parks. Small local town had everything we needed for a few days away from home. Clean accurate property.

My first time staying at a Vrbo. We enjoyed the extra room and having a backyard patio. The bathtub was too small for my husband. He’s 6 feet tall. Marty was a helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the area and glacier national park. We would definitely recommend staying here to anyone.

Location worked well for sites we wanted to see. Marty was a big help all around. Only issue was shower was tight for 6’ tall person.

This was our second stay at this property & it was just as great as the first stay a couple years ago.
Communication was super easy with the host & manager as was the check-in/out process.
We’d definitely recommend this property to others as an ideal location to explore the east side of Glacier National Park.
The only thing that would’ve made the stay more perfect would’ve been a fire pit in order to enjoy the cooler weather with an adult beverage. If there is one available we might’ve just missed it.

My 28-year-old son and I stayed at Colleen’s cottage in East Glacier on the last two days/nights of a memorable week long trip of a lifetime to Glacier National Park. It was a fantastic ending note to our trip, and while the other cabin we stayed for the first five nights was good, it was also really rustic/primitive and way off the grid. So, the final two nights at Colleen’s were just perfect and a huge step up in amenities and comfort.
I’ve got to go back (next year?) to Glacier NP with my wife am looking to book Colleen’s place in East Glacier for the entire stay!

Our stay was nearly perfect. The location to Two Medicine was fantastic - we enjoyed this area of the park early mornings throughout late evenings. Beautiful to say the least.
The log cabin was perfect for my sister and I to settle in for our stay. We literally had everything we needed and we appreciated the kitchen set up with all the dishes, pots and pans and even spices in the pantry.
Marty, the property manager, was very informative about the area and gave us many suggestions about hikes and activities.
I would highly recommend the properties and we had a fantastic experience all around.

We only stayed here one night, to allow us a quicker drive to get to Many Glaciers. However, I would absolutely stay again. The cabin was clean, quiet and very spacious!

We stayed 6 nights at this cozy cottage (family of four, two adults and two teens) and it was the perfect home base for exploring the park. It had everything we needed plus gave us easy access to the east side of Glacier which was our favorite areas. The cottage was very clean and the outside was manicured so nicely. It’s just a happy peaceful place! Marty (the property manager who lives on site) was great and was always there to give good recommendations or provide a good chat…just a wonderful guy who made our stay even better! We loved that the cottage is walking distance to our two favorite restaurants…Whistle Stop and Brownies. I highly recommend this cottage and will definitely be staying here again when we plan our next visit to Glacier.

Cottage was cozy, well stocked and very comfortable. This was our second trip to GNP and we wanted to spend all of our time on the east side. Great location for our plans to visit Many Glacier. Enjoyed the outside porch in the evenings. Appreciated the wealth of information Marty shared with us. He was friendly and very willing to answer our questions. Hope to make it back for another trip and will plan to stay here.

We had an amazing stay! The property had everything we needed! it was clean and easily accessible to the park in summer. Both St. Marys and West entrance were an hour away. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

We absolutely loved this rental. This rental was so well stocked with kitchen pots/pans and other cooking supplies. We loved the beach cruisers and enjoyed riding them around town a few times. Great location and super clean, we would love to come back and stay here again!

This was a beautiful cabin at East Glacier. It is the perfect spot as a base for the park and we like the east side of the park. The cabin has everything you need, is quite and very homey/comfortable. We totally enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back if in the area.

This cabin was perfect for our 2 days in East Glacier! It was so cute and cozy. It was just as described in the VRBO listing. Property manager Marty introduced himself soon after check in and made sure we had everything we needed. The cabin and yard were beautiful and equipped with bikes, hammocks and yard games, which unfortunately we didn’t get to enjoy because of the rain for the 2 nights we were there :( The beds were comfortable and Wi-Fi worked well. We would definitely book again or recommend to anyone for their stay while in East Glacier!

We really enjoyed our stay in this little cabin. Everything we needed was there. Marty is great, always available and helpful. Will definitely stay there again if we are able to make it back to East Glacier.
One thing to note, you must be able to climb into the clawfoot tub to take a shower here. Be sure to use the grab bar and take it slow. But having a tub to soak in after a long day of hiking was great!

This is a wonderful rental that was perfect for our family of five. It served as our base for visiting Glacier National Park and was perfectly located between the East and West entrances. We would highly recommend this location if you are visiting the area!

My friend and I visited Glacier National Park May 14-17. The property is a great location about 15-20 minutes from Two Medicine and an hour from West Glacier/Apgar area. The house was clean and well stocked and the on-site property manager, Marty, was very helpful. The back porch felt private and was a great place to sit and enjoy the outdoors. As some other reviewers mentioned, the clawfoot tub is a bit tricky getting in/out and for showering, but we managed. A hand-held shower attachment would be a great addition so you could sit in tub and still “shower” without needing the surrounding curtains. If I return to GNP, I will definitely book this VRBO again!

Well appointed & completely stocked quaint home with absolutely everything!!! We loved the location & found the property manager (Marty) to be super helpful and friendly while not being intrusive at all. Will definitely stay here again !

This property was great, also has options of the larger home as well. You could use it for larger family get togethers. We rented after season end. Which meant that most of the businesses were closed. It was perfect for us, we were able to hike in the park using both the Two Medicine gate and Many Glacier gate. Marty the caretaker was awesome. He contacted a ranger and confirmed that Many Glacier gate was still open and recommended our hike to Iceberg lake. Very grateful. The cottage was adorable, comfortable and very well stocked. Beds were comfortable, felt very at home. Groceries are limited in the area as it is a tiny town. Colleen the owner had given me the info about shopping in Browning or Kalispell on the way up. We hiked on the way up, which meant we did not want to leave groceries in the car. The little town store that stays open year round had enough to get us by. Peak, the only restaurant open had decent food and fantastic service.
Not sure I would travel to East Glacier any time soon, as I would like to visit the West side. However, I would go to the East side just to stay in this cottage again. Thank you Colleen and Marty for a fantastic stay.

Marty greeted us at the door and showed us around the cabin. The cabin was perfect for entrance into gnp either st marys or two medicines entrance. The cabin was very clean and well stocked. I would highly recommend this cabin.

We loved staying in Colleen's cozy cottage in East Glacier. It was incredibly clean and well stocked; even had a salad spinner and cast iron pan! It's the perfect location for hiking in Two Medicine, and not far from St. Mary's or the Many Glacier Area. The only thing that could have made our stay more perfect was for our children or grandchildren to have been with us.

We absolutely loved everything about this VRBO! Very well decorated and equipped with everything we needed and more. The grounds were well manicured. Marty greeted us upon our arrival and again at our departed to answer questions and assure that we had everything we needed; a very kind and thoughtful host. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to other travelers.

This was lovely cottage felt private with the gate. Marty was helpful and we enjoyed seeing a bear just outside. Property is as described. Comfortable bed. The only concern was the shower. The tub is not very wide to shower and it’s slippery and hard to climb in and out of. The shower curtains are too close when you shower. Felt very cramped. Otherwise , we loved the property and the nice little deck and hammock:)

As 2 long-time friends, both 60+ women, this was the perfect place place for our reunion and getaway.
This cottage is absolutely charming, very clean with a well-stocked pantry and everything you might need to put together an impromptu meal.
Although it was quite warm while we stayed, by keeping the cottage closed up while we were gone for the day, it was quite cool and comfortable when we returned each evening. It was even very cool sleeping in the upstairs loft in the very comfortable queen bed.
Although this cottage shares the property with the other larger VRBO house, it felt totally private and secluded. It was wonderful enjoying the back deck each morning and evening.
If there was one small negative, for each of us, it would be the shower which one takes while standing in the clawfoot tub. Although this tub would have been delightful to soak in for those who like lingering baths, it felt a little precarious to stand in while showering. If a rubber mat to lay in the tub were provided, it might have felt a bit more stable. This was a relatively minor point for us, but if travelers who prefer showers and have stability or balance issues, be aware that the tub is a bit tricky to get into an out of and to stand and shower in. We were aware of this before booking and would say that this was the ONLY inconvenience.
Marty, the property manager, came shortly after we arrived and showed us everything we needed to know about the cottage. He even helped us bring our luggage from the car into the cottage. He was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
We would highly recommend this property and would love to stay there again.
