**Book Today for Only $300 Down at the Time of Booking *** Our 2 bedroom, 2 bath 1,200 sq. ft. condo (Unit 414) in the Village Center building offers the ultimate convenience in winter or summer as it is located in the heart of Purgatory Village only steps from the primary high-speed lift to the top of the mountain, the Purgatory Express. Just like its namesake indicates, the Village Center is at the epicenter of the Durango Mountain Resort and Purgatory experience. There is no better location for your winter or summer adventures. The condo is located on a single level on the 4th floor with elevator access and a deck to enjoy the views of Spud Mountain and the Needles Mountain Range, perhaps the most stunning and gorgeous array of 14,000 foot peaks in all of the Colorado Rockies. The condo also features a washer/dryer and WIFI. The building features a hot tub on the roof with great views, a restaurant, 2 bars, an arcade, a slopeside deck, Purgatory’s ski school, the Purgatory childcare facility, 2 ski rental shops (one for high performance gear), and the resort’s premier shopping location, Purgatory Sports. With the deli right next door offering great sandwiches, breakfast, and light groceries, you truly won’t have to get in your car after you arrive. Bed Configuration: Main Bedroom - King Bed with TV and Ensuite Bath (Main Floor) 2nd Bedroom - King Bed with TV and Ensuite Bath (Main Floor) 3rd Bedroom (Main Living Space) - Queen Pullout Sofa (Main Floor) Book 7+ nights and a 10% discount is automatically applied. For an optional 4% resort fee, you will have access to the Durango Mountain Club which includes an outdoor heated pool with slide, outdoor hot tub and workout facility. The 4% resort fee included in the quote is the required resort fee that must be charged and does not allow access to the Durango Mountain Club. When booking, just advise if you would like the extra 4% resort fee added. Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities. Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time of the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any such changes will result in a penalty. Cancellations or changes that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance. This location can’t be beat. It was truly ski in and out. So close to the slopes and the village/ shops. The beds were comfortable and the living room set up enjoyable for the family. The negatives were that there was a mixup with my registration and they had double booked me with someone else. Purgatory Resort staff figured it out and were super nice about it. The condo itself needs some TLC. It was highly understocked... 3 rolls of 1 ply TP for 4 people (7 days) was not enough. No trash bags. Coffee maker needed replacing (which by the last day, a new one was sent), almost zero coffee in the condo but fortunately Purgatory Resort provided on my request, all the dishes and the utensils were coated in white buildup from the dishwasher and looked gross but were clean, only a couple dishwashing tabs available and they had gotten wet and were all stuck together, the DRYER DID NOT WORK so we couldn’t dry clothes/gloves after skiing or wash clothes, only 2 pieces of firewood (Purgatory Resort brought more at my request), candles in the condo were fire hazards (when power went out for the whole evening & night, we tried lighting the almost finished candles and the whole candles caught on fire. Luckily I noticed and chose to throw them out so no one else made that mistake and burned the place down!) Overall we were very happy (minus the dryer situation) but it def needs some attention from an owner when you are paying these types of prices to stay.

Awesome ski in condo on the mountain, everything you need for a great stay. Would have given 5 stars but the mattress was like sleeping on tile!

1.location. You take an elevator down to the second floor, and your on the slopes.
2. Hot water for showers.
Cons: where to begin?
1. Place is dated and dirty. Sad really, because it has a lot of potential. It hasn’t been remodeled in 35 years. Dirty floors, stains on carpet.. overall place just smelled unclean. Dust and garbage left behind under the furniture. Even my 9 year old noticed how filthy it was.. and he doesn’t usually notice anything!
2. Loud. You can hear partiers, screaming kids, and the grooming machines running all night.
3. The beds are the most uncomfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. The floor would almost be better. You will leave not sore from skiing, but with a sore back from the beds.
4. Toilets clog constantly. Exhaust fans dont seem to work.. Instead they seem to suck air in from the outside, and sucks in gasoline smells from snow cat machines. Lovely.
5. Coffee maker was busted. To managements defense, they did deliver a new coffee maker later in the day.
6. No streaming TV. Only local channels and a DVD player. Who watches DVD’s??
7. Dryer never shuts off.. runs constantly once turned on.
8. Thermostats don’t work. It’s either on or off. So you’re either freezing or roasting.
Overall, the place is a dump. Needs a major overhaul. Luckily our trip was short. I would never return to stay here. Lots of other condos/townhouses with great location to choose from. Avoid.

This unit is located right above the ski shop and the prep area where you go before you hit the mountain. The main lift is right in front, this is a perfect location for anyone skiing. The unit was very adequate for our needs, not luxury, but comfortable. The resort does not have many choices for food as it's a quiet place and seems to close down early. We went into town one night, the other 2 were spent at the pizzaria and Purgys, which was a little pricey but very good food. We will 100% stay again.

Perfect location - everything we needed

The location for skiing could not be better. Property is in very nice shape. Propertyanagers are first class. Check in and out was super easy. A few touch up items and the property would be first class. Property faces the snow at garage so you do get a symphony of 3am beeping as the cats backup.

Great location. We loved the fact that it was a ski in ski out. Unfortunately shower in master was not working but it worked out fine with the other bathroom. Just know the beds are not that comfortable. All and all we enjoyed our stay.

While the general property was very nice, the specific room we stayed in was not managed well. Note that we vacation frequently and own our own rental properties. Therefore, I believe I have a good perspective regarding what is customary/normal.
Bath
o Shower- leaked to room below. We had several contractors and maintenance people come to our room during our visit. Shower was unusable throughout stay. Note that one maintenance person told us it had been recently remodeled and the plumbing was not done properly.
o Shower Curtain fell during first use. One end of rod was missing the rubber “foot” that gives it grip on wall.
o Toilet – clogged with even with little use. This appears to be a known issue due the signs posted. Note that the toilet in the main area seems to operate properly and in the additional bath it was extremely unreliable. Toilet was unusable for anything other than liquids during stay.
o Vent fan – runs in reverse, so it pulls in frigid outdoor air
o Heater – knob missing, unusable.
Laundry: Dryer does not shut off using timer, moisture setting, or even opening the door.
Bath 2/General
o Only 4 towels provided for entire stay. Contacted management company and was told that was their policy. Two additional towels were delivered. Personally, this is still fewer than I would have expected given that the dryer could not be left running unattended.
o Minimal toilet paper supplied. Room was provided with about a roll and a half of toilet paper per bathroom per their policy.

o No cable box or anything attached to TV in bedroom. Was told by property manager they would address this, but it was never addressed.

o Fireplace - Matches to start fire was about a fourth of a matchbook without the cover/striker
o Fold-out Couch - No bedding for fold-out couch. Unit was advertised as sleeps 6 but there were no linens to make the fold-out couch.
Kitchen
o Dishes were not in great condition – hard-water-spots, some silverware still have food stains stuck to them, some dishes chipped
o Drawer broken. Had previous repairs when have subsequently failed.
Property management offered a refund of one night (our stay was six). The room, as provided, should have been half the price we paid.

Great location. We loved the fact that it was a ski in ski out. Unfortunately shower in master was not working but it worked out fine with the other bathroom. Just know the beds are not that comfortable. All and all we enjoyed our stay.

Nice place with great location to slopes. It is not slope side but does have view of mountain in the back. We had a hard time adjusting to beds because they are firm and we prefer a softer mattress. Rare Double-Master is great!
Had a wonderful time staying at this property, and especially enjoyed the 2 Master Bedroom arrangement for 2 couples! Unit was clean and well appointed and check-in was a breeze. Only negative is that the unit is somewhat run down after many years of use by winter-sports partiers. We would definitely reccomend, and would stay again given the chance.

This was our first time in Purgatory. Compared with other ski resorts, this 2/2 was a great value. Large living, dining, and kitchen areas were a very welcome surprise, as were the two large bedrooms each with en suite bath. While we never used the patio, it was there (just covered in snow). This particular unit appears to not have been updated since it was built in the 90s, but it is still very clean. One gripe would be the dishwasher, which left everything with a chalky film. So, we cleaned most items by hand. This is probably worthy of a 1 star reduction since I can't imagine this is news to the owner/manager. Despite that, though, we would stay here again.

Great ski homebase
We really enjoyed our stay at the condo. The location can't be beat. Condo have everything we needed. We had a leaked kittle and it was replaced promptly. The condo is also very well heated. There were a small communication error during checkin process where the Purgatory registration desk didn't have our reservation but they were able to locate after little investigation. They also marked out checkout date wrong and we have to confirm again with the front desk. Overall, we really enoyed our stay.

Great location!! We missed having access to ski lockers.
We had an issue with there not being enough bowls and the skillets were old. The property brought us brand new items the next morning! Excellent communication.
The place is older, but clean.
The only complaint is the bathrooms.....they need a remodel. There was no light inside one of the showers and mold.
Overall, I would stay again.

Excellent location
The best thing about this condo is the location. Excellent access to the slopes and the roof top hot tub is a huge perk. The ability to have wood delivered was fantastic. The condo is very spacious for a family of 4. The negatives - we could not get an adequate temperature in the frig. It kept freezing everything, several outlet plugs are very loose so items wont stay plugged in, both bathrooms need some updates. The jacuzzi tub is very old and completely unreliable. As other reviewers stated the lighting in parts of the condo is challenging at night. The light over the dining table is very tricky to get all bulbs to shine bright. This condo could definitely use some updates but if your focus is skiing and the outdoors the location and easy access to everything can not be beat.

We had a wonderful time at the resort and we really enjoyed this property. Getting checked in and to the building was a snap, parking was great and the condo had everything we needed. Super convenient as you just take a elevator to the lifts and village. The rooftop hot tub was great as well as the village pool and hot tub. We had firewood delivered to us so we could enjoy the mountain vibe. Perfectly accommodated our family of five. Well be back!

Couples get-away
Love the location! Our check-in process went smooth. The condo was just perfect for us! Our group consisted of 4 adults (2couples). There was plenty of room and it was great to ski all day and come rest and or eat lunch and back to skiing. The only complain that we had was the lighting situation in the bedroom— too dim. The lamps help but we would have liked more light. Other than the lighting everything was just as expected!

Great Ski Location
The condo was spacious and perfect for our family. The location is perfect for skiing. No need to drive back and forth from Durango. So we were able to ski and come back to the room for lunch or a break. Purgatory got some good snow during our stay so the skiing was great.

Summer vacation
We liked the condo, had a small issue with dishwasher, did not appreciate that Premier vacations had not sent our reservation correctly & had to deal with getting that resolved. Not much open @ the resort in August, but found things to do close by.
