Casa Melissa, located 1 mile from downtown San Pancho, is a unique private estate featuring breathtaking 180 degree views of the Pacific. Located on a point overlooking the Pacific, the views from Casa Melissa are uninterrupted and spectacular. Yet you can easily walk to San Pancho on the wide sandy beach. You can view the coastline from Punta Sayulita in the south to the outline of San Blas to the north. If you move your gaze to the east, you can view the beautiful tropical palm jungle. Casa Melissa is tropical Mexico as you dreamed it would be. During the day watch whales, dolphins and rays pass below as you enjoy a drink on the terrace or relax in the pool. In the evening the sunsets are breathtaking! Amenities of the villa include 4 beautifully appointed bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a private lighted tennis court and a heated 'Infinity' swimming pool. All rooms in Casa Melissa have ocean views and fans. NEW - ALL ROOMS NOW HAVE AIR CONDITIONING. Doors and windows have screens so you can get the tropical air without any tropical bugs! There is also a whole house water purification system so water from the tap is safe. Additionally we have a bottled purified water dispenser with instant hot and cold water. The Casita, a 5th bedroom suite, features a queen bed, ceiling fan, air conditioner, full bathroom and a kitchenette. Its large ocean view terrace and overlooks the tennis court. The maximum number of guests at Casa Melissa is 10, but the published rate is based on 6. Casa Melissa is for those who want to get away from it all, and to relax surrounded by the natural beauty of the Mexican Riviera. Maid service is included Monday through Saturday. The staff will even grocery shop for you before you arrive - you just pay for the groceries! We want to make your stay at Casa Melissa a true vacation. Whales migrate along the coast between December and March, with maybe a few early ones in Nov or late ones in April. See them from the terrace or get close-up on a boat in the Bay of Banderas. Nature lovers can enjoy tropical birds flying by at eye level or go on a bird watching tour. See iguanas, geckos, tejones or tour the turtle nursery and help release baby turtles into the ocean. Ocean kayaking, snorkeling and hiking in the palm jungle or walking on the mile long sandy beach are a few of the best ways to enjoy this tropical paradise. The small town of San Pancho is unique. It has an active polo community and a polo field, a yoga center, a nine hole golf course (currently closed) and fabulous restaurants. There are many shops and a variety of restaurants within easy walking distance of Casa Melissa. Events during the year include a national surfing contest, annual music festival, and Art Festival in December. Or rent a car and explore the whole area. Besides fabulous views, Casa Melissa has its own private lighted tennis court. The tennis court is a special Australian product that is used in the tropics, a synthetic grass surface topped with sand. It plays like clay but is ready for play 15 minutes after a rain shower (very important in the summer). The other great thing about the tennis court is that it slows the game down - great if you are playing mixed doubles. What makes this tennis court unique is that it has an ocean view! Try not to get distracted by the pelicans flying by as you play the game. Or play at night with the lights and when it is cool. Casa Melissa has three bedrooms for the quoted price. The nearby Casita bedroom suite is available for rent for an extra charge. The Casita is only rented as part of Casa Melissa. You would never share this beautiful estate with other renters. The property was wonderful!! The owner was very informative and accessible. The pictures don't do the view justice. It is breathtaking when you pull up to the house. The staff was highly attentive, grounds and house very well maintained. We had one issue with the gate not opening, and it was resolved immediately! If you stay here, you MUST hire Yeyo to cook. We had him for 3 dinners and 1 brunch, and his company and cooking were spectacular!! We will absolutely be back:)

Casa Melissa was incredible. It's one of the most beautiful spots we have ever been to. The house, tennis court and pool were all in great shape and used constantly by our group. All of the staff were very nice and helpful. The house and kitchen were fully stocked with all the equipment and amenities we could think to use. We saw humpback whales, dolphins and many types of large birds from the pool and patio, and used the (basket full) of binoculars often. It is a little difficult to find at first, but Melissa gives thorough directions, and once you figure it out it becomes simple. The grounds manager helped us rent a golf cart (which was delivered to the house) on the first day. We found that more fun to take rides in to town to go to the beach and out to eat. It's a special place, and we won't forget it.

Melissa was extremely thorough and helpful before, during and even after our stay when a few items got mistakenly left behind.
The house was very spacious with multiple rooms and a small casita. The pool was beautiful and the view of the ocean was outstanding.

We chose August, probably the hottest and most humid month to visit Casa Melissa, but we had a wonderful time! Melissa has made visiting so easy with prompt communication and spot on advice. Read all the previous reviews and you will see that there is not one negative response. Diva for a shuttle from the airport, Gecko car rental, Mega shopping. I don't think I have had an easier stay anywhere. The construction is quite impressive, but we didn't have any problem. It is a good idea to rent a suv with good clearance though.
The views are so amazing, and we were in the pool for hours, but especially at sunset.

I chose this house to celebrate my 50th birthday with friends and family. My criteria was Mexico scenery, infinity pool with view of the ocean and AC. I chose this particular house because I also wanted it to feel like I was in Mexico and not a cookie cutter hotel anywhere. I was not disappointed. Our experience exceeded expectations and we would come here again.
The host and staff are very friendly, helpful, and easy to communicate with. The house was exactly as described. At first, I thought daily housekeeping was going to be excessive but Imelda is fast and thorough! We felt very taken care of. Lots of clean soft towels and linens. Having groceries there when we arrived was very nice too.
Chef Yeyo and his Frances were a delight and made dinners for us several times over our month long stay.
We were warned in advance that Constuction had begun next door and while the construction itself was never bothersome the driveway was rough from the heavy equipment and impassable without 4WD after a heavy rain. Fortunately we only had one heavy rain during our stay and we walked up. Not at all the hosts fault but would recommend 4wd rental for anyone visiting in the rainy season. I also recommend a SUV rental at a minimum, just for the clearance as there are lots of potholes and road construction. The construction crew were very courteous and moved out of the way when we needed to pass.
Since we were here for a month the beach club nearby was a nice change of scenery. It also came in handy when we experienced a power outage that lasted nearly 24hours. Not the owners fault. It was the entire neighborhood. We went to the beach club to shower and relax. FYI the whole house water purification system was one of the many reasons we chose this house. What I foolishly didn’t think about was if the power goes out, no water because of the electric pump. The house manager was very communicative during the outage and did her best to get the power back.
Despite the road and power outage I would come here again because the pool is absolutely AMAZING! The photos are nice buts it’s even better in person.
San Pancho itself is a nice quiet little beach town. Everyone is friendly and there are some good restaurants doing things different from standard tacos. Maria’s is a great place to start and very good for families. There is something for everyone. Checkout Arigato, Ikan, Limbo, San Pan, and Barracuda.

This property is exactly as it is advertised and then some. The cleanliness was outstanding. Every room was spotless. The views are tremendous upstairs and downstairs. Will never forget this pool. MAGNIFICENT sunset views, gorgeous coastline, it does not come any better. Expectations were exceeded. Spectacular.
Took advantage of Chef Yeyo cooking for us for 2 breakfasts and one Dinner. Delicious Mexican cuisine with leftovers for 2 more days. Although constructions were quiet a few coming from Puerto Vallarta, it never delayed us and we arrived on time. Construction on the Hill behind Casa Melissa never bothered us.
I have to add that Melissa was a great hostess. She kept us informed weeks before our arrival of the going-ons in San Pancho and surrounding areas. Any question we had she answered within hours. Thank you so much Melissa ! in a Nut Shell, we will visit this place again without hesitation. House was beautifully decorated ....and the pitcher of Margarita's was a classy touch.

Spectacular!
This is a truly stunningly beautiful property! We loved the house, the food that Yeyo made us was amazing, town is close enough to walk to, but far enough that you're out of the fray. We enjoyed the views from the pool and the house, and the sound of the waves is gorgeous. The house was exceedingly well-equipped too; the kitchen has everything you need, and towels are abundant. Melissa is a wonderful owner and manager. She was extremely accommodating and forthcoming with information. You cannot go wrong with a stay at Casa Melissa!

Girls Trip
We had a wonderful time at Casa Melissa the house was just as described. Amazing views, great landscaping and the crew from the cooks, cleaning and maintenance staff all super friendly and informative. We had a wonderful surprise of refillable water bottles and sun visors! The house had plenty of beach towels, games and all you need when your on vacation. We will have many fond memories of Casa Melissa!

This is a dream house, the views are incredible, absolutely great hosting by both owner and the local team. The road to get to the house might be a bit rough but once you learn how to drive it is no problem, our family wll always remember this vacation

When I stumbled on the listing for Casa Melissa, I booked it immediately for three magical nights. I couldn’t believe it was available for part of our trip. We stayed the remainder of our trip at the Garza Blanca and while that was really nice, Casa Melissa was the place that we talk about when our friends and family ask about our trip.
The views are insane - 180 degree views from most of the rooms. My family of four had plenty of room to spread out and then some. We spent so much time in the pool because it is just gorgeous and extremely luxurious. I have so many stunning photos from sunrise to sunset of us in the pool and we live in Florida and have plenty of pool time if that is any indication of how awesome this pool is.
The town is safe, friendly and authentic but we just truly enjoyed relaxing at the house. We are a busy family with kids (ages 15 and 6) and this forced us to slow down and relax.
Another highlight for my family was hiring Yeyo to come and prepare dinner for two of the three nights. Please do yourself a favor and schedule him. He is kind, professional and his meals were such a treat. I’m still thinking about his guacamole and frozen margaritas. We had enough leftovers for lunch both times.
And now for those who are here for the tennis, this was truly a special treat to be able to walk down to our own private court with the waves crashing in the background. The court is fantastic and we felt so spoiled! I didn’t tell my husband and teenage son that the home had its own court so they were completely shocked when we pulled up to the gated entrance. It was such a fun surprise for them and they spent hours playing on it each day!
The owner is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area and gives you very detailed information. Thank you for everything and we will definitely return to this special place in the near future.

Casa Melissa and the Town of San Pancho are absolutely perfect! We had the best time. So relaxing, amazing food and Staff. I am not sure you could find a better view from the pool anywhere. Make sure to rent a golf cart. It was a lifesaver.

Wonderful getaway!
Our stay started with the beautifully manicured lawn of Casa Melissa that looks over a cliff to the Pacific Ocean. The inside was nicely decorated and cozy. Yeyo’s dinner that evening was perfectly prepared for the tires travelers. Nothing can beat their sunsets! No complaints about our stay.

Best views in Riviera Nayrit
This was our 3rd visit to Casa Melissa and it is still our favorite. We stayed nearby last year and we missed the pool and views from Casa Melissa. Great communication with Melissa. Iris and Otto do a great job keeping the property looking good for guests.

Stop debating and book this place.
We looked at 6 different countries and over 100 houses. The second we clicked on Casa Melissa, my husband and I booked it. Not for a moment from the first email to Melissa, to the moment we got home did we have a regret. Well, maybe the regret of 9 days not being long enough. We picked Casa Melissa first then found out about the little town that comes with it. San Pancho feels like home the moment you enter it.
The beauty of this property was simply breathtaking. The relax feel you get from the moment you open the front door till the last day will follow you home.
There is a walk into town, so before you go, have Iris do the grocery shopping and get good flip flops. My husband and I enjoyed the walk through San Pancho so much, we rarely got a taxi. My friend and I loved to get a coconut at the beach stand in town then walk back to the house enjoying it.
Iris and Otto were both great. They were in and out before you realized they were there, but after a day of getting to know them, you looked forward to them coming and checking in.
The morning we were waiting for Diva Tours (Best taxi service. Use them for your travels) to pick us up to take us to the airport to fly home, we all sat around saying if you had to pick something you didnt like or change, what would it be. We all blankly stared at each other. 6 very strong opinionated personalities all fell in love with Casa Melissa.
Between my husband and I, we have traveled to many countries and have stayed many places loving all of them, but never saying we would return since we love the adventure of a new place. We will however be back to Casa Melissa and San Pancho. This adventure is far from over! Thank you all so much!

Wowza !
This place does not disappoint in any way. I’ve stayed in some pretty Cool places on the Pacific Ocean, and Casa Melissa rises to the top of the list. The Views are amazing from any where on the property. I have waited for over 15 years for it to be available for my travel dates, and finally the stars aligned, and I got my wish. I hope to stay here many more times. Thank you Melissa for sharing your Wonderful place with us, we feel blessed.

Lovely stay
Wonderful stay. Somehow the beautiful photos online do not do it justice. The views are incredible. Iris, Yeyo and Francis are wonderful. Casa Melissa is a short walk to town (we took both the road and the beach way, both are great). There is also a path about 20 minutes north of the home that leads to a fantastic and more private beach. San Pancho is a cute little town. Great seafood and nice little cafes and restaurants. We will absolutely be coming back to Casa Melissa. The home was very, very clean and equipped with everything you need, including beach towels, inflatables, tennis rackets and a margarita blender :)

Beautiful home with amazing views!
Just returned from a wonderful 5 days stay at Casa Melissa .. The photos on the site don’t do it justice. The wonderful staff and personal cooking by Yeyo and Francis was the best. I would highly recommend them while staying there. We look forward to our next stay.

Wonderful experience! Perfect property, amazing home & awesome oceanfront
Everything was above and beyond. Home was very well designed and I love the style. The views of the ocean from every room was a big plus. The pool was amazing! Great for adults and fun for kids. The property was quiet and relaxing enjoying the nature. The sunset was spectacular. The manager Iris was really helpful and informative about activities around the area. I wish we would have stayed more nights. We will definitely return in the future. Thank you Melissa for sharing your beautiful house.

Great Stay!
The house is beautiful and the managers are great! Super well stocked with everything you could possibly need or want. We had a 3 and 4 year old with us and the pool and house was perfect for them too. There is a house being built next door (as of June 2019) but it was not loud or intrusive in any way. Recommend highly!

Iris, Yeyo and their helpers - AMAZING! We were there for only 4 nights and it felt like they were family. Food was amazing, the house we kept so clean - they went above and beyond. They are all irreplaceable.
We hope to come back next year and make Casa Melissa our home away from home.

Casa Melissa is way over the top! I really enjoyed my stay and the house is just amazing! the views are breathtaking and the house is super equipped, you practically only have to bring your personal stuff, the house has everything, from speakers in every room to pool inflatables. I am definitely looking forward for my next stay at Casa Melissa!!!!

Can't say enough good things about the property and staff at Casa Melissa. We spent 5 nights and will have memories to last a life time. The views are even more beautiful than the photos posted. Absolutely jaw dropping. Great for a family vacation or girl's trip. San Pancho is easy to walk to and the people are so gracious, warm, and welcoming. Would love to make this an annual trip. Absolutely Incredible
This is the third time I have stayed at Casa Melissa--it's too good not to keep coming back to. It is truly spectacular. The house is beautiful and comfortable, perfectly maintained. But the location.....oh my. Watching purple and orange sunsets over the 180-degree ocean view from the infinity pool which feels as if it's dangling over the edge....truly. un. real. I can't say enough good things about this place. Without a doubt, the single most beautiful and wonderful place I have ever stayed in my life.
