Nestled in Montanita, this lovely condo for £172 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. “Sky Vista” is a unique privately owned penthouse experience above the amazing hotel and boutique “El Taino de Sky”. It is directly on the Beach in Montanita. Enjoy your own private ocean view ! “Sky Vista” offers 3 bedrooms ( two work beautifully as masters) 1 with a queen bed and private bathroom. The other with a king bed and ample closet space for two. The 3rd bedroom is perfect for kids with the full and twin bunks, or comfortable and large enough for adults as well. 2 baths, a very nice kitchen and dining area, as well as a couch bigger than most have ever seen. We call it “The Space Couch”. Luxury is our goal from the 50” flat screen to luxuriant duvet comforters in the dual master suites. Feel pampered and spectacular! Location! Location! Location! There are several beautiful places up and down the coast near Montanita, but what we love and believe sets us apart is that “Sky Vista” delivers the best of both worlds. We are steps away from the beach, restaurants, shopping, and the party, but just at the end of the boardwalk where you will find peace and quiet when you want to rest. Open the windows, feel the cool ocean breeze, and listen to the sound of the sea without the dueling music of competing clubs. For our guests, our goal is to provide easy check in and out services through the hotel “El Tain de Sky” with 24/7 access. With the private suite, we have our own cleaning team close. Just let me know if you need anything. You are staying in the penthouse - it is 5 flights up - put your FitBit on and enjoy the benefits of the escalation! We Promise...The view is worth it!!! Help is available with your bags. Just ask the front desk at check in! If you have never been to Montanita - you are in for an Experience!! If you have come during high season (December thru April) - the Surf is UP! The streets and the beach clubs are hopping and it is exciting and busy!! The great news is you are staying right on the beach but you are on the quiet end .... a two minute walk on the boardwalk puts you right in the heart of the action between "Cocktail Alley and Restaurant Row" If you are visiting between May and November - it is a lot quieter especially during the week. Most often if you are a beginner you can still get out and "Surf the Mush" (waves of 2-3'). During the week a lot of clubs are closed down and the streets are quieter, but when Friday comes things pick back up again. From local street food to our favorite Peruvian restaurant, Montanita has something for everyone. Be sure and go by the TikiLimbo and have a Big Wave (take a friend or three to help you drink it). Hola Ola has daily specials and good food. Often the best breakfast in Montanita is found right where you are staying at El Taino de Sky's own restaurant. If you bring your own car, tell them at the front desk and they will help you arrange parking - usually directly in front of the hotel. For getting around in Montanita - everything, and I mean everything, is walking distance. You can walk to the beach, walk the boardwalk or take the street in front of the hotel. If you are arriving by bus, the bus station is also an easy walk (unless you are carrying all of your families’ luggage). Taxis are everywhere - a taxi to the hotel from the bus station should be about a $1.50 If you need to go farther, ie...Guayaquil to the airport, bus tickets are about $6-8 or a taxi can get you there for $100.

One of the Best experiences I had while traveling through the beach of coast of Ecuador! The penthouse has an amazing ocean view! Teresa the host was excellent, vey helpful and quick at responding any of my questions. I recommend this place, is super clean Great location! I would definitely go back anytime I can.

I hate to be harsh as we loved Montanita! Even during COVID- it was the most amazing time. Our stay at the property was less than ideal however. Upon arriving we realized that the building is under construction, a complete gut renovation. Because of this there is no front desk or security and a plethora of people aimlessly wandering throughout the building at all hours. We did not feel it was the most safe environment and that was with traveling with two native Ecuadorians who were the ones to point out that it was an issue-worth mentioning, a 7yr old child was “guarding” the door throughout the night. The caretaker told us that anyone in the building needed to be wearing specific wristbands that he provided upon our arrival. No one else wore these. The photos show pretty true to what you’re getting- location is great and you have a great view of the ocean/really beautiful sunsets but the place isn’t very clean. It’s doable but I would definitely check to make sure the building is no longer under construction before booking.

We had a wonderful stay! The unit is located outside the more lively streets of Montañita and is in a perfect location. We enjoyed our beach umbrellas being amongst the local Ecuadorians and felt like we really experienced the culture. Everyone is so friendly and the beach is so clean. We walked for miles every day on the beach. The owners are very responsive and easy to work with. There were two couples in our group and it was perfect. The A/C is so nice to have in the bedrooms for sleeping at night. Thank you!

Perfect Place for a Family - or Two!

We loved our stay in Montanita! The Sky Vista Suite was ideal for our family and we even talked about how we could bring another family next time. It was very comfortable and just far enough south that it was peaceful, but you could still easily walk to nightlife if you desired. The manager and everyone in the hotel was lovely and Terese was an amazing host and very flexible and helpful. We can't wait to return! Thank you!
