Secluded Cabin on the Hill at Laurel Springs Farm in the Hocking Hills
About this cabin rental
Nestled in Perry Township, this charming cabin for £195 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. The Cabin on the Hill features cottage style furnishings with a rustic twist. The flooring is a sustainable art paper floor featuring inlaid fall leaves from the property. Originally built by and home to a young Amish couple that moved to Minnesota with their growing family; we had the cabin moved to our farm on the foot of "the big hill" back in 2005 when we updated it to have electricity, appliances running water. We have an on-demand hot water system for limitless hot water, so feel free to fill the footed slipper tub and relax in the hot spring water or shower off after a day of hiking and then kick back in the oversized chair, the round cuddle couch, or the recliner in front of one of the electric fireplaces. Enjoy the remarkable sunsets overlooking Laurel Run Canyon from the top of the Big Hill. Enjoy the night sky, even the Milky Way, like through the veil of darkness only found in the remote night skies. Relax in front of the gas fire pit or slip into the hot tub for a relaxing soak. Enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience in the Hocking Hills. ++IMPORTANT NOTES++ ++Cabin comfortably and can privately sleep three couples or a max of 6 [NOTE: cabin is priced for 4 people, and separate charges are applied for each additional person per night]. ++*Must be 25 or older to rent the cabin and must be able to provide a valid ID. ++*No parties are permitted. ++Unregistered guests will result in immediate eviction without refund or an immediate payment for each unregistered guest must be paid at that time. ++the cabin is not suited to handicapped folks or small children due to its location and steep staircases, loft ladder and high railings. ++Although we are avid animal lovers, we do not allow pets as it is dangerous for them and for our animals. ++Other restrictions are addressed in the Rental Agreement. Want to explore the Hocking Hills State Parks? We are a short drive to many of the parks and guests have access to a trail to the hilltop on our property . Want to go horseback riding? The Spotted Horse Ranch is less than a mile from our farm. Or go canoeing or rafting in nearby Logan or rock climbing at the new High Rock Adventures in Rockbridge just off Route 33. Need to grab some groceries, gas or visit a local eatery? We are just 3 miles from Laurelville, featuring the world famous Laurelville cider or stop by The Ridge Inn for Jo's famous donuts! So, there are conveniences and attractions nearby, but they are completely out of site as you go into seclusion at the cabin! Other on-site activities such as walking the trails on the hill overlooking the canyon, barns and pond. Drop a line to catch a fish - we offer catch-and-release bluegill and bass and the occasional turtle from the dock on our spring-fed pond using our simple homemade cane poles. Bait is available in Laurelville, or use a piece of hot dog to catch a bluegill! Bring your hiking boots and enjoy the breathtaking view from the top of the big hill or even spread out a blanket and picnic and enjoy the one of a kind view. We had a great time as a family of 3 enjoying the cabin this January. The location is perfect for trips into Hocking Hills, and we took full advantage of the hot tub! Our teenager loved the lofted bedroom, and the space was more than cozy.

Clean, quaint, well equipped with everything you need. Such a cozy cabin, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Lots of porch and deck space. Hot tub was an added bonus. Small fridge in kitchen but full fridge downstairs, plenty of cooking utensils. Great place !

We enjoyed our stay. Peaceful and relaxing. Drove to Marietta and did a riverboat cruise.
It would be perfect if there was a half bath downstairs. We’re not fans of the spiral staircase.
Exactly as advertised

Close to lots of parks and attractions. I brought my telescope with me and there were great open areas to view and dark skies. Everything was clean and functional :)

The trails and hiking were incredible, all within 20-30mins from the property. The area is beautiful. The cabin was cute and cozy and perfect for myself, my young daughter and my mother. Nearby horseback riding spot was also very fun. Enjoyed our stay very much.

We stayed here for a Father/Son camping weekend, and it was a perfect home base for Hocking Hills. The boys enjoyed fishing in the pond and spending time in the hot tub, while the dad's relaxed on the covered porch. There are restaurants and stores relatively close by, and the hiking trails of Hocking Hills are just a short drive away. We will definitely be back!

This property is close to Hocking Hills, but is it's own little getaway. The cabin was beautiful, wifi worked well, and the pond was fantastic. A great place to get away, especially with kids.
Thank you!

Our family of 5 enjoyed staying at the cabin on the hill. It was such a quaint and cozy cabin and our children really enjoyed themselves. Brenda was very communicative and even helped us pick blueberries on the farm. Would definitely recommend!

My teenagers and mother stayed at the Cabin on the Hill for a short getaway from 6/12/23-6/14/23. This place is beautiful and cozy! Brenda's attention to detail wasn't lost on us. In addition to hiking in Hocking Hills, there was so much to do on the property: fishing, petting cows, picking blueberries, grilling on the porch, and a dip in the hot tub. Lucy the cat even paid us a visit. We had an amazing time and my kids have already asked if we can come back again! We would highly recommend the Cabin on the Hill at Laurel Springs Farm!

We both really enjoyed the cabin. It is beautiful! We loved your cows. The only draw back was all the steps. Definitely not for older people and not handicap accessible.

The cabin was absolutely gorgeous! It had all the comforts of home and more. And we especially loved the clawfoot bathtub. It was peaceful, quiet, clean and cozy. cozy. I would definitely like to stay there again! And Brenda had great communication, she replied right back. A very nice person. It was nice to see her crafts on display and for sale. I bought the sunflower. I would recommend her and her cabin to anyone.

Wonderful and very clean cabin! The interior is beautiful and I loved and appreciated all of the little touches that made my stay exceptional. The hot tub was very nice after a long day of hiking! Very private and quiet location which is what I wanted, but also very close to all of the Hocking Hills attractions. A real gem! The owner was very friendly and helpful and sent me directions and instructions prior to my arrival. I had the best time - thank you!!

This cabin is great for a single family. The location is a perfect getaway from everything. Lots of wildlife right out your cabin windows. The owners were readily available although we didn't need anything. It is secluded but not too far from a small town.

The location of the property is wonderful! Close to eateries in Laurelville. Beautiful drives to all the trails in Hocking Hills!
We are sisters in our sixties, so the loft bed didn’t work for us. Not safe for overnight bathroom trips. One of us slept on round chair with footstool at end of it. So we will not return as we need both beds on same level with bathroom.
Also we were emailed the entry information for Cabin on the Pond first and didn’t realize it wasn’t for us until after we tried multiple times to get in Cabin on the Hill. And the “reply” link never worked.
Had a great time though! Patty

Absolutely delightful stay! Communication with Brenda was excellent! The cabin was so clean and comfortable! The hot tub was perfect! We enjoyed it so much we didn’t leave for the 2 days. There’s enough land around to explore so no need for us (as semi locals and been to HH for years) to leave the grounds. The only thing I would mention is that if you have someone who has a problem maneuvering around stairs, this may not be your best fit. Getting to main level requires about a dozen stairs and going down to the hot tub (from inside) requires a winding stairway with very narrow treads (although all thought taken with handrails). We thoroughly enjoyed coffee outside on the front porch swing watching the deer. Just so serene! We will definitely be back!
