Laid Back Lakefront Cottage--Family Fun on Powers Lake
About this house rental
Situated in Powers Lake, this charming house for £492 per night is a great option for your next break. This two-story chalet style cottage sits right on the water of a small bay on Powers Lake, Wisconsin. Powers Lake is spring fed and very clean. Our lakefront is great for swimming with a long shallow entry with a pebbly bottom. Lake views are on two sides of the property. Spectacular sunset views as well as star-filled night skies are featured from the front cedar deck which overlooks the lake. Our family has enjoyed many wonderful days in this pleasant home, which is situated on a quiet cul-de-sac. Families will be very comfortable with the open connected space of the great room, dining area, and kitchen. There is plenty more space to relax on the deck, in the screened porch, and rec room. A large grassy lawn offers a spot for outside games. Main Living Space includes (2nd floor): • Great Room with 180-degree view of the lake through the floor-to-ceiling windows along entire lakeside of the room. • Dining Area with picture window and view of the lake • Kitchen with lake view and open to dining area and great room • Wide Cedar Deck across the front lakeside of the house • 4 Bedrooms (queen, queen, queen and twin, 2 doubles) with blackout curtains • Full Bath Main living area is up a full flight of stairs from the ground level or a walkway up a hill, around the house and then up 5 steps. Ground level/1st floor…which opens out to the lake: • Large Rec Room with Ping Pong table • Futon couch and futon chair • Screened-in Porch under the upstairs deck • ½ Bathroom plus 2 Showers with changing rooms • Laundry Room • Garage Ground Level is open to the lakeside of the house on 1 side, open to the driveway on 1 side and underground on 2 sides. Fishing on Powers Lake is great — northern pike, bass, and pan fish! Many of the best catches have been made right off our pier.

This Powers Lake property was the perfect place for our golf weekend. Centrally located between a bunch of great courses and close to Lake Geneva for nightlife. We loved the house and the lakefront property. Powers Lake was awesome as it was not as crowded as other lakes in the area. The Rock Bar was a plus for food and drinks close by. Would definitely stay again

We had a wonderful stay at the beautiful Laid Back Lake front cottage! What a beautiful view of Powers Lake! Our family enjoyed the large space of the house, stocked kitchen, fire pit, the deck and the nice lawn and dock. There were many chairs and lake floating devices. We all loved the large windows overlooking the sunset. Suzy (the owner) was very responsive and answered all of our questions. We will be back to rent this lovely home!

Found this property for a last minute get away to Powers Lake. Great location. We all have had a great time including my Portuguese Water Dog, Kinzie. Water was perfect and there was plenty of room for us. Looking to rent there again next year.

This was our second time visiting the Lakehouse and it didn’t disappoint! Ample room, scenic views and great place to bring kids. We didn’t have access to a working dishwasher until the last day, but the property manager and owner were very up front about it before we arrived. We highly recommend coming here if you have a larger group.

We rented this lakefront cottage for MDW 2023, and it exceeded all our expectations. We were a group of adults with our dog, and found that the house and lakefront property were exceptional. Very spacious, clean, and with lots of interesting history. I had been communicating with Susie in the weeks leading up to our trip, and she was very responsive and helpful in recommending other activities during our stay.
When we head back to Powers Lake, I will certainly try to stay here again.

This was an awesome property and vacation. The house was more than large enough and yet still very cozy. We played a lot of ping pong. We will be back. I also found the house history on the wall really interesting. Thank you for sharing that.

This is a beautiful place on a beautiful piece of property. The 10 of us had plenty of space, both indoors and outdoors. The lake view is unbeatable. We all had fun swimming, fishing & boating. The ping pong table was great for indoor fun. We appreciated how well-stocked the lake house was. Communication from the owner was excellent. I highly recommend this place!

The property and location is fantastic.. We had young children there and it was very safe for them in the shallow water. The house was perfect for all age ranges and provided a perfect vacation for our first trip to Wisconsin in a long time

We had such a wonderful time at this charming cottage on beautiful Powers Lake. The house was so clean and very comfortable. The views of the lake from the main living room and kitchen are stunning. We rented a pontoon from right across the lake and spent most of the days either on the lake or on the deck looking at the lake. We spent the evenings on the beautiful side yard playing bags and making s’mores around the fire pit. We would definitely come back to this absolutely perfect lake house!!

Lake Views and Relaxation
House was well stocked with everything we needed with enough of a cabin feel that just seemed to fit with the lake. We loved the elevated full deck, where we spent each night watching the sunset turn to cottage lights and boat lights around the lake. So peaceful!! Kitchen had a long bar type counter, great for breakfast conversation. Super clear lake water. Got up early each morning to sit on the pier with my coffee and watch the early morning fisherman do their thing.

Beautiful lakefront stay
We had the time of our life staying on this beautiful property. The beach and pier are in a small bay that is protected and quiet. Great for swimming & floating on air mattresses. House faces west, so we really enjoyed the sunsets. Loved every minute!

We arrived at the house on Thursday evening and it was spotless. The house was very clean and it had a cozy feeling to it. Everything we needed was there for us. At first glance, the property sits poised as a perfectly preserved time capsule amid modern, more updated lake houses in this quiet neighborhood. When you get inside, the view takes your breath away as you view an almost 300 degree view of Powers Lake. Situated on "the point" we loved both the downstairs access to the lake as well as the wooded area, upstairs, for family pictures. We needed an affordable place to host our grandfather's birthday and provide local family to come by and visit. We were so grateful we chose this property over the more pricey but smaller options on Lake Geneva.
The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Labels were plentiful to take guess work out of putting things away. The rooms were clean and well lit with natural light. The well water tasted fine with the filtration system in the basement. No need to buy replacement filtered water from the grocery store.
The ping pong table was a huge hit with my kids (6 and 3 yrs). The calm waters of Powers Lake made daily swimming very easy. The water was clear and not too cold!
Even with the power going out for a couple of hours in the morning after a storm, Susie the property manager was very responsive and helpful on the VRBO message feed.
We cannot recommend this place enough. Coming from Arkansas and Texas, we loved this retreat and like many of the families in the guest book, we would have no problems booking again.
