Cottage\/Tiny House Living Accommodation in Beaufort for Cost-conscious Traveler
About this cottage rental
Situated in Beaufort, this attractive cottage for £66 per night is a great option for your next break. The Pigeon Nest Cottage is ideal for the cost-conscious traveler or couple who appreciates a cozy, homey venue for a getaway, and only a 10 minute walk to restaurants and shops. The little 220 ft.²addition fits perfectly in the new craze for "tiny house" living. It is connected to owners home by a 20x18 ft screened private veranda. Situated in the Pigeon Point area of Beaufort close to the historic downtown, Chateau Petite Cottage aka Pigeon Nest Cottage is a small place with a lot of heart. The cottage is nestled among ancient Live Oak trees draped with Spanish moss, across the road from the Beaufort River. It offers our guests: a kitchenette (microwave oven, sink, refrigerator, coffee pot, toaster, 2 burner portable stove, and dishes, pots n' pans); coffee and breakfast bars for your first morning here, a bathroom with a shower and bath towels (including beach towels) beach chairs, and boogie boards are in shed.. . Bedroom/day room with a very comfortable daybed, that can either be used as 2 twins or a king size ; an HD flat-screen TV with cable channels; WIFI access; a bistro table with 2 chairs; in addition, you'll have access to a front-loading washer and dryer. Outside, the cottage offers a large yard surrounded by a white picket fence ....as well as a private screened gazebo for guests .and a separate patio seating area with a table and chairs for relaxing and enjoying the flowers . . A whimsical flower garden is in a continual process of "being complete." In February of 2015 Diane's younger sister Bonnie passed away, and it spurred the idea of a memory garden for her.... a meandering path, graced with ferns, roses, daisies, hydrangeas, misc pretty flowers, as well as a precious pink flowered bush called "little Bonnie" have all been planted with love. You will also find teapots, bunnies and assorted little treasures to make you smile. Please spend time enjoying........ my flowers want to see you... You also will get to have the delightful experience of meeting my 2 feline roomies Miss Maggie Grace, and Good Golly Miss Molly, the long haired calico. They love to be petted.!!! They are indoor outdoor cats, So please don’t let your dogs outside unattended.

It was very tiny. Sweet eclectic and friendly. The town was much larger than I expected going from the Verbo description of quaint old style city. We are in Dunellon FL. Now. Also a miss leading description advertised.

We stayed in the cottage to be in town with our granddaughters and family. It was a perfect location.

Small but comfortable.

This is a tiny space, but every inch of this cozy space is filled with whimsey and charm. The cottage smelled sweet and felt comfy. From the pretty rose and flower garden with sweet statuary, to the beachy decorations, it's all about good vibes! This little nest is filled with happy little appointments (a quilt on the trundle bed, books, teas, beachy art, a state park beach pass, even gourmet doggy treats for our little old doggy!) This tiny Beaufort cottage was perfect for us!

We really enjoyed this cozy cottage just a few blocks from both ocean views and the downtown nightlife. Diane is a wonderful hostess who is warm and welcoming. The location is quiet but accessible. We look forward to future visits!

This place is such a cute, quiet little gem. Me and my bestie enjoyed our stay. I love that it was literally 5 minutes to downtown Beaufort and about a 20 minute drive to the beach. I was thankful that it was pet friendly as well! Our dog Chloe really enjoyed herself. Diane’s garden is absolutely beautiful. I really enjoyed looking at all the flowers around the property. Will definitely stay here again when I come back!

The cottage is a quaint sweet place located close to EVERYTHING you want or need in Beaufort and the beach. It is a little smaller than we thought, however, it was perfect for us. We would DEFINITELY stay with Ms. Diane again. She is a very sweet, kind, and accommodating hostess.

This was a cozy little place. We enjoyed it. Nice and quiet. Would add connector section and kind sheets to make it one bed instead of two separate twin beds.

Perfect area in pigeon point, walk to the water , see the sunset. Close to downtown Beaufort . If you love nature you will love Diane’s tiny house. Garden flowers stunning, all the bird feeders , cardinals, woodpeckers, hummingbirds, titmouse, chickadees… the screen porch w fan very helpful. Bring yard guard or bug spray just in case.

The tiny house was indeed very tiny, but had everything required for a pleasant stay. The neighborhood was lovely and provided good opportunities for dog walking. The addition of a South Carolina Parks pass was a bonus, as we were waived right in to Hunting Island State Park.
Since we have previously lived on a sailboat and a 17 foot camping trailer for months at a time, we are accustomed to close living quarters. The only negative is that when the trundle bed is rolled out, there is no room to walk around. I would recommend this house completely for one person, but two people need to be fully aware of the size limitations.
We had a lot of trouble figuring out how to operate the trundle bed. I would suggest that Diane make a point of demonstrating this in person if possible.
Other than above, we definitely rate this a five star location.

Quaint, colorful and cozy. Everything you need to feel at home. Perfect for a a weekend getaway. The location is quiet but close to everything…walk, bike or drive. A beautiful park is just a short walk and very nice if you have dogs! The host, Diane was kind and great with her communications! Will be back again I’m certain!

We absolutely loved our visit to Beaufort. Diane's tiny house/ cottage provided us with a comfortable place to unwind, cool down, park our gear, clean up and crash at night. The screened-in gazebo provided extra lounge space for relaxing and enjoying our morning coffee. We enjoyed walks to the boat ramp for stunning sunsets each evening. We even caught sight of a pod of dolphins one afternoon. The property location in Pigeon's Point is just a short bicycle ride to downtown Beaufort and many of the historical/ significant sights. BIG praise for the tiny house!

An absolutely amazing Beaufort experience!! The place is located in a gorgeous neighborhood just minutes from the views of the marsh. The hosts were accommodating to our two dogs (which is often hard to find). We had the most amazing trip and CANNOT wait to be back to visit!

The place is small, as advertised, but this added to the charm and intimacy of the stay.
Diane was very sweet and a joy to talk to. Pidgeon Nest was perfect for us and our cats to snuggle up but also to get out and see the quaint Pigeon Point neighborhood and Historic Beaufort, SC. The outdoor seating is screened in and was a great place to lounge, eat, and play a few hands of cards
The only thing I would change is the bed as it is a daybed. I could not sit comfortably and it did not sleep 2 people. The trundle bed allowed 2 to sleep but then blocked the doorway. Other than that everything was perfect.

Everything in its place and all you need. Be efficient and think about your presence in a space and you’ll enjoy the benefits of simple living in this charming little house. An attached screened porch, fully furnished, expanded our space. In all, it was perfect for the simplicity we strive to achieve in our everyday lives.

The 5 nights we stayed at Pigeon Nest were good as we had beautiful weather. We needed a breather from cloudy cold weather in NY. Although the cottage would have been small if the weather had been inclement, we were able to spend a lot of tine in the screened in porch. It was fantastic.

Perfect little get away
This was the perfect little get away for my husband and I! Diane and her cute fur babies Molly and Maggie were the best hostess! The park pass was great for a day of exploring around the lighthouse and beach!
At the end of a busy day we enjoyed walking down to the end of the street to watch the sunsets and dolphins! There was also a festival going on during our trip so we were able to enjoy that as well! We would deff stay here again!!
