June/July/August rate reduction--fight summer doldrums!!! Come and enjoy our penthouse condo in beautiful Sugar Beach Resort. Only 15 minutes from the airport, we are located outside the town of Kihei, between the ocean and Kealia Wildlife Refuge. Relax on our private lanai, enjoy views of Ma’alaea Bay, the landscaped grounds, the wildlife refuge and the West Maui Mountains. Humpback whales can be seen December thru May. Outside worship the sun at poolside, on the beautifully landscaped lawns or even your private lanai. Take a swim in the pool, relax in the hot tub. Step out onto the beach and take a morning walk on the longest uninterrupted stretch of sand on the island of Maui. Inside, in the living room watch our 42-inch HD TV connected to cable and internet. Here you can easily access your streaming video service accounts such as NetFlix, Hulu or Amazon Prime. The whole unit has high speed internet w/ Wi-Fi. Easily connect your Smartphone, laptop or other devices. Other amenities include master bedroom with King Size bed and cable connected HD TV. There is a fully equipped kitchen and a washer/dryer in the unit. Central air conditioning for your comfort. The living room couch folds out to queen sized bed. Take your meals either on the lanai or inside in the dining area or at the breakfast bar. 2 telephones are in the unit with free calling to the continental US and Canada. Overall it was an okay place to stay. The beach access was nice. The bed was very uncomfortable, we also did not like having the dryer vent into the shower in the bathroom. The sex toy in the dresser was a nice touch.

Clean condo great location to visit all areas of Maui. Very convenient to airport. Please visit and support Maui businesses. Don’t forget the up country businesses, Maui Winery, Surfing Goat Dairy, Lavender Farm etc.

Four ladies stayed at the Sugar Beach Resort ph06. Everything was exactly as we had hoped especially the location. We enjoyed the views from the lanai, walking the beach early in the AM, hanging at the pool, grabbing appetizers & beverages from Dina's, and the overall quietness and relaxing atmosphere. We 100% recommend this place and will definitely plan to come back!

Centrally located on the island with great views of pool and beach; the listing pics are accurate. Beach is safe for everyone to swim, unit has everything you need to vacation on the island. The owner and rental agent responded quickly and were lovely to deal with. Fantastic vacation!

Words cannot express how wonderful this property is. The view from the balcony is absolutely breathtaking. I would be happy doing nothing but sitting there all day and looking out at the ocean and waiting for the incredible Sunset every night. The property was very clean and well stocked with boogie boards and beach chairs. Essentially everything someone would need to have the best vacation of their life. We cannot wait to come back and we would not stay anywhere else.

We really enjoyed being away from the bustle of central Kihei. The fantastic views of the ocean from our suite were the clincher for us! And the property grounds were so well cared for, with staff outside cleaning the pool area and gardens every day. It made it such a beautiful space to spend time. We also loved being able to step out onto beautiful Sugar Beach any time we wanted without the effort of packing up a lot of stuff and driving somewhere where there would be tons of people to deal with. It was a perfect vacation setting! Our host Steven was very helpful and responded quickly to any questions we had. The suite was well supplied with all we needed and more!

(hard to find good water pressure in rentals). Beautiful view, had coffee on the lanai every morning while watching the waves and sunrise. We arrived late and had no issues getting into the unit. Steve was always available to communicate with when needed, and the on-site contact, Becky, checked in as well to see if we needed anything.
Highly recommend the property as well, in a great location that makes it easy to get to other parts of the island. Love walking along the long stretch of beach every morning, and the Sugar Beach Bake Shop, Ululani’s Shave Ice, and the farmers market are just a short walk away. And the little Sand Witch shop on the property has great food and drinks. The staff and guests are always very respectful, we love staying here.

The complex is conveniently located close to great activities like the Aquarium, Iao Valley hiking, Lahaina cruising, Molokini snorkeling tours and the trek to the top of Haleakala. The trade winds do pick up in the afternoon, sometimes challenging. The pool, spa and barbeques are pleasant and the entire property is well kept.

The condo is very well stocked. Perhaps more than necessary as there isn't a lot of room to put away your food. But they also have a cooler, folding chairs, water toys, etc. And yes, it hasn't been updated, but it is clean and everything works so it is a great value. Definitely recommend.

Any time in Hawai’i is the greatest but Sugar Beach Resort takes it to a whole new level. With the shore steps away, the waves can put you to sleeep, you can hear the whales flapping their flukes. The property is immaculately maintained, the pool and hot tub are wonderful. We are going back.

Great, Clean Kihei Condo
Sugar Beach Resort is a nice place to be on Maui, and PH-6 is a great, convenient condo on the property. It’s in great condition, clean, cool, and full of amenities. The view is fantastic. I would recommend staying in PH-6 again.

Great time in Kehei
The pictures are accurate for this condo. I have to agree with others that this condo is a bit dated. With that being said, I don’t need granite countertops while on vacation. All appliances worked great, the rooms comfortable. I traveled by myself and stayed for 2 weeks. The owner got back to me quickly when I’d text him. I would definitely stay here again.

Steven was so easy to work with- answered questions and requests very quickly.
Sugar Beach condos is fantastic! Love that it is out of the hustle and bustle of town- PH6 has a great balcony which looks out to the beach (team canoers can be seen practicing most mornings and evenings), pool, putting green and koi pond. The condo has 3 beach towels, boogie boards and a small beach chair. It also has a couple golf clubs and balls to play around on the putting green. The kitchen is fully equipped, the bathroom towels are thick and fluffy and the king mattress is comfy. Also love that the condo has a w/d in unit. The only negative is that it needs a little updating. A bright comforter would help a lot in the bedroom. Thank you, Steven, for a great place for our Maui stay.

Perfectly located
We truly enjoyed staying here. The location was very central. We were able to get to every location that we wanted to visit again or for the first time. We spent a lot of time in Kihei shopping and eating around that area but also made sure to visit Lahaina. The condo was relaxing and the grounds well maintained. The pool was inviting but we didn't stop there as we preferred to spend our time in the ocean playing in the waves. Whenever we did venture down we never had to wait for a beach chair to become available as there always seemed to be two waiting for us. The condo was comfortable and we were able to open the patio doors and let the wind blow in during the afternoons. Everything we needed was located in the condo. We simply grabbed snacks and drinks to keep on hand. One evening we sat and ate chips and guacamole made out of the biggest avocado we could find while watching the sun set from the lanai. The sand on the beach was soft and there weren't a lot of rocks hidden beneath the water. I enjoyed walking down the beach to the shaved ice stand in the evenings just before sunset. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and relax.

We have stayed in condo PH6 3 times now.
It is always clean and equipped with everything we need. You can see the pool and the beach and hear the waves from the balcony. We are looking forward to our next visit soon.

Comfortable reliability
I have stayed several times at Sugar Beach and appreciate the lack of pretentiousness there. It is comfortable and I know what to expect each visit which is reassuring. I see that there has been no change and that the work crews there are taking excellent care of the grounds as always. Each unit is decorated at a different pace than the others, probably based on the whims or budgets of their owners, and although I don't know that, I suspect that that is the case. Our unit this time was a bit dated, although everything functioned correctly and the unit had a commanding view of the neighborhood -- I haven't stayed in a room directly facing the ocean yet. The people running the office are accommodating and pleasant getting us settled into the room as always. I have always felt that the location has been wonderfully central to activities Maui offers, and probably is a bit quieter than those in the towns themselves. The activity lady in the office next door provides an orientation for activities available and that is always a must and she does a wonderful hula as well. I am looking forward to returning and won't wait 9 years like last time!

Relaxing vacation
The resort was very nice and clean. The pool was nice and to have the beach steps away from the beach was also nice. It is windy this part of the beach, so be ready for the wind blowing daily. The wind is stronger in the afternoon and evening. Penthouse # 6 was nice with many amenities inside. Wish we would have discovered the boogie board and beach chairs located under the bed before the last day. Maybe a list of the beach items would be nice.
