Comfortable for 4 sisters to relax and enjoy the charming town of Hannibal; cave tours, winery, brewery, walking along the river and vintage shops all nearby.

Everyone in our group was very impressed with the house. We were all happy with the quality of the furnishings, the design and functionality of the kitchen, each of us felt like we got a good night's sleep from the beds we slept in. The showers are good and there were plenty of towels. We used the stove and the barbecue grill and both worked fine. We were very happy with the location. It was our first trip to Hannibal, we're glad we had such a nice place to stay at!

Overall met our needs. Needs to find a solution to make the step into the kitchen safer.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. The vintage/antique decor made things feel so welcoming. Yet every modern convenience was there - the baths and kitchen had plentiful towels etc. The main floor bedroom and bath was perfect for my mom while the rest of us had plenty of room in the bedrooms upstairs. The updated kitchen had coffee, tea, sugar etc- there was even a grinder so I’ll bring my beans next time! The neighborhood looked a little run down but we felt safe and were close to everything we wanted to see. The thoughtfulness of the owner was evident everywhere in the house. Thanks for a great stay!

We had a wonderful time. Plenty of room for the 4 kids to spread out. Quiet neighborhood. Sat outside beautiful front porch. Very comfortable. Cooked my families favorites and enjoyed the sites of Hannibal at our leisure. Great place to stay.

Two couples from different states met for a rendezvous in Hannibal because it was "in the middle". We had a great weekend! The house was roomy, served our needs well when we wanted to go out (walking distance from everything - restaurants and diners, the lighthouse, the dock, Twain Festival activities, shops, and trailhead/hiking in the nature preserve), as well as a space for staying in and playing cards, doing a jigsaw puzzle, grilling supper, or enjoying coffee and conversation on the patio in the mornings. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had all the appliances, utensils and wares we needed. Outdoor patio furniture needed cleaning and the bathroom in the downstairs bedroom could have used a touch up. There are some unkempt houses in the block, but we never felt unsafe. We would love to return next year and continue exploring the town and we would not hesitate to book this house again.

I enjoyed the property because it was in a quiet part of town. The bedrooms are beautiful, and the kitchen was well stocked. If you're not a walker, I feel the property is too far away from downtown. I would stay at this property again.

We are all older, so we enjoyed the stay...neighborhood was a little rough looking....but we did not have any problems!
Did wish there was a washer and dryer on site.
No place for trash, frig was not very clean, 1st floor was not very clean, noticed chips and stains over carpet in bedroom. Also all trash cans in rooms were dirty...inside and out. TV upstairs did not work either?
The house was nice otherwise.....!!!

The house needs some updates like all the carpet in the bedrooms. It has a nice kitchen! Close to downtown. With a few cosmetic updates this would be a really nice place .

As yearly visitors to Hannibal for well over a decade, we always enjoy our stay in this quaint and lovely river town. This grand old Hannibal house fit the bill for the five of us quite nicely. It is located close to the downtown area, but in an older residential neighborhood; others have complained about this, but as the temp was in the 70's the weekend we were here, I spent a great deal of time on the front porch and I never felt unsafe.
There is ample room for sleeping and with four ladies in the family, the three bathrooms came in handy. The kitchen is nicely appointed and modern, and suited our needs beautifully. We enjoyed the board games in the well-lit dining room. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. The linens and towels were quite white and clean. One thing to note: the banister on the staircase doesn't go all the way to the top. We also took the baby gate from downstairs and placed it at the top of the stairway at night so our little didn't get disoriented. We loved our stay in Hannibal and Barry was a gracious host who accommodated our needs.

Vintage House in older neighborhood with 5 bed rooms. Living room and dining area where on the small side for 10 people. Bedrooms where nice size. Kitchen with 2 ovens made preparing holiday meals easier. House could have been cleaner and some things needed to be fixed. Stairs narrow and steep to second floor.
Owner was easy to communicate with and provided extra chairs and folding table for dinning.
Overall we enjoyed our time at the property.

We really enjoyed Hannibal and met a lot of great people. We did not love the house we stayed in. It was ok. It is in kind of a run down neighborhood but we didn’t mind that at all we just felt that the house could’ve been a bit cleaner and more up to date information. There was a binder with info but we found out that it was from the previous owner. We felt the house deserves a 2.5 star rating. There is definitely potential for a higher rating with a little more TLC done to the house. Beds were very comfortable.

We spent the weekend here over the 4th of July with our family. We wanted a place big enough that we could all stay together, and we found this house. It is beautiful and had plenty of room for all of us! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen is very well stocked and very nice to prepare meals in. The location is wonderful - you are literally in walking distance to everything downtown. The owner is very easy to get in touch with and he is super friendly and helpful. We loved this place, and if we return to Hannibal with a large group, we will definitely stay here again! Thank you so much for a fantastic family weekend!!

The house is located in a run-down part of town a few blocks from the downtown area. The neighborhood was poorly kept, trash in yards and on the street, homes in disrepair. The interior of this rental home needed improvement. The rugs are stained, trim work and paint needed to be fixed and updated. The kitchen had some sort of fruit flies in it. A pair of glasses and a box of cigarettes were on the mantel, looking like someone was recently in the home. Just not impressed with the home.

This house needed to be cleaned badly. We ended up not staying and was given a refund. We communicated with owner and Vrbo and everything was pretty promptly taken care of. This would not deter me from using vrbo again because I have used them in the past and was pleased with previous properties.

A good time in Hannibal
We had a great time staying in Barry's place. The house is in walking distance to many of the downtown attractions. Barry was very easy to communicate with, and helped us big time when we messed up on our arrival date. Thank you Barry! We all had a great time.

Convenient Hannibal Location
Our family of 6 adults and 4 young grandchildren enjoyed our stay. The house is spacious, and the various bedrooms worked well for us. We appreciate the renovation the owner has done on the house--and is continuing to do, we assume. We were concerned about the cleanliness of the bedroom carpeting because the kids typically enjoy playing on the floor, and it would have been nice to have the outdoor furniture in place to better enjoy the backyard. Other than that, we had a good stay.

Moldy/Musty Smell
The house has a moldy/musty smell that we brought home with us on our clothes, shoes, suitcases, etc.
The house was not completely clean when we arrived. It is only partially remodeled and needs a lot more work. The pictures give a false impression of the condition of the house. We will never rent this house again.

Hannibal 🏡
We rented the Hannibal house for a family get together. The house is centrally located in the small town and easily walkable to all of the in town Mark Twain sites and less than a five minute drive to the lookout and cave. The house is huge, there is plenty of room and is very kid friendly. There is a really nice back yard with a propane grill and tables and chairs. The kitchen has everything and there are several grocery stores less than ten minutes away (there also was a farmers market a block away we thoroughly enjoyed) .
We visited during a hot week and were able to enjoy the local pool which was very close by.
We had a large group that included babies to adults and everyone was comfortable and had enough room to relax and spread out.
Unlike many vacation homes this one had ample towels, linens, toiletries in case you forgot and user friendly amenities (WiFi, cable, adjustable thermostats throughout home). Even though it’s street parking we had no issue parking three cars in front and coming and going.

The house has old world charm and nice space for two families. It was just the right size for 4 adults and two children! We enjoyed our stay.
There were some tiny ants in the kitchen when we arrived. Overall had a good time in Hannibal!

Enjoyed our stay at Hannibal House
This home is located in a historic neighborhood with various levels of restoration. The owner was working on some repairs on the outside of the home during our visit but it did not negatively impact our visit. The home is nicely decorated and comfortable but I would suggest the owner replace the stained old carpeting upstairs.

Met our needs perfectly!
My family and I did enjoy our stay in Hannibal, MO. While we didn't spend a lot of time in the house (we were there to attend the Steam Punk Festival) it did meet our needs perfectly.
