We live in Canmore and can be reach 24/7. We provide recommendations and tips for our guest to get the best from their stay. Solara Resort is located on Kananaskis Way. It is surrounded by other resorts. It is nice 15-20 minutes walk to downtown. It is close to Shops of Canmore, which has cafes, restaurants, liquor store and more. We have underground parking with maximum height 7'2". You can easily walk downtown, you can use a taxi or the town public bus. The nearest bus station is 5-10 minute walk. As of July 1 2021, bus rides are free within Canmore. The bus can also take you to Banff for a fee. We have more details in our information book. A rental agreement will be sent and will need to be agreed to upon reservation. There is also more instructions on site about expectations for check-out. We outline rules in our rental agreement. Having fun and a good time is permitted at all time!

We (seniors couple) enjoyed a wonderful week stay in this Canmore stylish/smart one bedroom condo. Great location, easy access to Canadian Hwy 1, Canmore, and Banff. Unit was roomy, comfortable king bed, nice layout, 2 TV’s, 2 fireplaces. Big plus was the coffee machine n coffee beans provided by the host. Easy communication with host who took care of one minor issue. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay in this unit. Very clean, well equipped and comfortable. The only suggestion for improvement is that the light bulbs throughout need to be replaced with much brighter bulbs. This is without a doubt the most poorly lit place I have ever stayed in. Otherwise, very nice, great location, quiet and comfortable.

Our mini get away at the Nest was very nice! Place was clean and roomy! Had no problems that we needed to contact the host for! The coffee maker was amazing, we loved being able to have a shot of espresso!
We would love to stay again in the future!

The unit was very clean, cozy, and spacious for 3 adults. The unit was pretty close to everything, we walked everywhere. The unit was quite and we had no noise issues. The hot tub and pool were nice to use, the directions were a little confusing but we found it. No pool towels were provided in the unit. The ad mentioned face wipes to remove makeup, but we couldn’t find them and on Saturday the shower didn’t have hot water.
The owner was very polite and helpful with sending check-in details and checked in to see how we were doing. We would stay here again in the future if available. Thank you!

The place was great. Easy to find, the rooms were very quiet, lots of food nearby. The room was very clean. One of the things I always worry about is hot water, and there was HOT water. The shower is this room was amazing after a long day outside.

This is a good place at a good hotel in a good location. Owner is readily available and responsive.

The shower does not get hot no matter the time of day; we had cold showers in the mornings and after skiing. The bed is old and sags. The unit is located below an electrical room and house keeping room and beside a stairway; we heard noises at all hours of the day and night. Lastly, we were notified the day we arrived that the pool and hot tub were closed for mechanical issues. We requested a discount from the owner, which was ignored. The three other families we travelled with got discounts on their rooms of up to 25% for the pool issue. This owner ignored our request and our complainants regarding the above issues. This rental was not worth the cost. We will not rent this unit again.

What drew me to booking this particular unit (when so many look alike in this part of Canmore) was the layout and the additional windows a corner unit provides. The bedroom (well, the entire unit) is VERY spacious and the bed and bedding are fantastic – we slept really well here! For winter, it did lack ‘coziness’ due to standard the tile floor and leather furniture plus the ‘fireplaces’ are just the hologram type. I was glad I packed a throw blanket. But I get it...tile and leather wear very well for rentals, so they make total sense. The bedroom was very dark after sunset – this would not be a problem in summer because of the two big windows! Walking to town for dinner in the snow, dark, and below freezing temps wasn’t happening because it’s a bit far – instead we used the ‘free parking’ in town each evening without any trouble. So a great option in winter. I definitely recommend the unit - we liked being tucked away in a quiet corner within the building, the spacious layout, super comfy bed, great kitchen, and warm underground parking. Oh and the Chinese food place across Kananaskis Way (Phoenix Asia) is very good – check it out when you don’t want go into town!
OK - so if you are still reading: Plus, the owner was great with communication and was very accommodating when we inquired if it would be possibly to check in early in case the overnight/morning snowfall prevented our drive up to Jasper. As background: We got stuck in an April blizzard in Iceland when trying to complete a trip around the ring road and had to re-plan ½ our trip on the fly when we could not go any further north mid-week. So this was a fantastic relief/reassurance to know we had a back-up plan and place to sleep prior to attempting the drive – which we ended up successfully making. But knowing that Robert made sure the condo was ready a day early just in case was AWESOME!

It was our 50th wedding anniversary and we had a great time. The condo was very inviting and had anything you may need. The pool and hot tub was a great extra. Condo is centrally located so you can get anywhere in a short time. Would love to come back sometime!

My family enjoyed our week long stay in this unit. It was clean and comfortable and suited our needs well. The bedroom was large and bed very comfortable with nice bedding. We did find the bedroom a little dark as there are only bedside lamps which don't light up the large room. There is however lighting in the closet if you leave it open. The bathroom is nice with two entry doors which was really nice. One from the main area and one from the bedroom. It has a lovely shower and nice local toiletries. We did find it strange that only one roll of toilet paper was provided for our week long stay, so we had to purchase an entire package as it generally isn't sold in single rolls. The rest was left in the unit as we were flying afterwards. The TV in the living area was large and was well equipped with Netflix, Disney Plus, cable, etc. which was nice. The two fireplaces were a nice cozy touch. Lots of nice big windows and Mountain views. Comfortable deck area. The kitchen was well equipped and had nice appliances. This was a great home base for us and the local exploring we wanted to do in other areas. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return.

The unit itself is good but the property needs some updating. Mostly quiet area and pretty. A lot of driving to get to sights everyday but I chose it knowing it was a little out of the way to save some funds.

I communicated with Robert about a few maintenance issues that came up, and he was quick to address them. Most visitors don’t tell the property managers about these things, so they don’t know about day-to-day operations. He was very appreciative, and in general the stay was nice. I am an interior designer, and I found the furnishings and appointments top drawer - very well done!!!

A lovely stay in Canmore
My husband and I spent a week at this super nice condo in Canmore. It was very spacious, nicely furnished, and fully equipped with everything that we needed to cook and enjoy our meals. The bed was really comfortable and we slept great.
WiFi worked perfectly and the television had a multitude of stations. We also enjoyed the location as we were able to walk almost everywhere in town.
We would definitely stay here again.

Very nice building in an easily accessible location. The unit is on the second floor and is at the end of building which means you have a corner unit and it is likely quieter than others in the complex. There is pretty much everything you need

My wife and I had a great anniversary long weekend at Swift's Nest in Canmore, AB. The host (Rob) was great to deal with, and luxury touches were throughout the condo - underground parking, fully automated espresso machine, multi-head shower system, king-size bed, fully outfitted kitchen, and even fully stocked spice rack - wonderful!
The location was good, within walking distance of downtown Canmore but not in a noisy neighbourhood. Highly recommend the Swift's Nest for an enjoyable stay.
